Abstract

Dalam ujian tulis, tidak sedikit mahasiswa IAIN Ponorogo yang  cara menjawab dan menjelaskan gagasan-gagasannya membingungkan dan tidak menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dengan baik dan benar.  Hal ini menyebabkan dosen dalam mengoreksi menjadi gagal paham karena gagasan yang disampaikan sulit dimengerti. Salah satu penyebabnya  adalah ketidakefektifan kalimat yang digunakan. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan  menjelaskan keefektifan kalimat berdasarkan tinjauan fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis/ gramatikal, semantik, dan leksikal serta menjelaskan kebermanfaatannya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia  di IAIN Ponorogo.  Untuk menyelesaikan penelitian ini, digunakan pendekatan kuali­ta­tif desktriptif. Teknik analisis data berupa analisis tekstual dan deskriptif. Hasilnya, ditemukan ketidakefektifan kalimat hampir pada semua aspek kebahasaan, baik dari ciri fonologis berkaitan dengan tanda baca (13, 96%) dan ejaan (67,69%), ciri morfologis (8,94%), ciri sintaksis (1,40%), ciri gramatikal (14,52%), ciri semantik (27,69%) maupun ciri leksikal (1,40%). Hasil penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan evaluasi dosen pengampu dalam menerapkan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada pokok bahasan kalimat efektif. Sebab, selama ini pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di IAIN Ponorogo dirasa belum berhasil seratus persen. Hal ini dari kalimat-kalimat yang digunakan mahasiswa untuk menjawab soal-soal ujian akhir semester masih banyak yang tidak efektif.

Abstract

Self-confidence is needed by students to support their success in communicating. Students with high self-confidence will grow confident in themselves, and vice versa. Feelings of fear and inferiority are caused by a lack of self-confidence. One of the Indonesian language subjects at MI is orally retelling fables. This study found a lack of self-confidence in students, so the learning process is not optimal. Therefore, self-confidence is very necessary. This article seeks to reveal the ability to retell fable stories of MIN 6 Ponorogo students based on high, medium, and low self-confidence. To examine this problem, we used a qualitative descriptive method with observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation in order to obtain sufficient data. Data findings were analyzed through data condensation, data presentation, and inference. The findings show that students with high confidence are successful in retelling fable stories, both in language, content, and non-language. Students with moderate self-confidence have a tendency to be anxious, so the ability to retell fable stories is not achieved as expected. Students with low self-confidence tend to give up easily when retelling fable stories, so that linguistic, content, and non-language factors are not achieved.

Abstract

Art is a medium for creativity. One of the most common art activities is expressive drawing. It involves the inner elements of the creator. Expressive drawing has been introduced in elementary school, but it is only explored in grade 5. However, in practice, teachers often adapt the conventional process by observing objects around them. In relation to this, there is one medium that can be used as a source of learning expressive drawing, namely Manga. This is because many elementary school students are familiar with and interested in the world of animanga. The purpose of this study is to describe the aesthetic elements and explain their relevance in Manga Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, with the content of expressive drawing material in the 5th grade Fine Arts book. The research used a qualitative method with literature review. Data were collected using the methods of listening, note-taking, and documentation, which were then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings show the existence of four aesthetic elements in the form of themes, shapes, colors, and motifs based on Herbert Read's aesthetic theory. There is a relevance between the aesthetic elements and the content of expressive drawing submaterial. First, the principle of balance is found with the four aesthetic elements that serve to obtain references. Secondly, the submaterial of analyzing and concluding the principle of balance serves as a maturation of the concept that has been formed in the initial exploration. Third, the practical activities function in realizing the four aesthetic elements in a work of art.
