Gastritis or commonly known as "ulcer" or heartburn is inflammation of the stomach wall, especially the mucous membrane of the stomach. Gastritis is often caused by an incorrect diet. Irregular eating patterns, the stomach becomes sensitive when stomach acid increases. Excessive production of HCI (stomach acid) can cause friction on the walls of the stomach and small intestine, resulting in pain called gastric ulcers. The friction will be worse if the stomach is empty due to irregular eating which will ultimately result in inflammation in the stomach.
