Abstract

A psychologically comfortable atmosphere in schools and Islamic boarding schools needs to always be sought. Moreover, the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School has thousands of students. One of the obstacles currently being faced is the insufficient quantity of guidance and counseling implementers or counselors, especially regarding their quality. Focusing on improving counseling services provided by guidance and counseling teachers and homeroom teachers, we help improve skills in providing psychological first aid to students or students who experience psychological instability. We offer training with the concept of Psychological First-aid (PFA), which is a series of actions or things that must be done to help strengthen the mentality of someone who is experiencing a crisis or unstable condition. The technique used is Appreciative Inquiry in Asset Based Community Development. As a result, homeroom teachers and guidance and counseling teachers understand the importance of psychological assistance and a series of actions provided to help strengthen the mental health of santri/students who are experiencing a crisis or unstable condition. Guidance and guidance teachers and homeroom teachers also understand the sequence of steps that must be taken when providing assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the motivation of early childhood education (ECE) teachers in pursuing higher education. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, involving students from semesters 1 to 7 who meet the criteria of being ECE teachers and continuing their studies in the PIAUD Department at Ibrahimy University Situbondo. Data collection was carried out using three methods: interviews, observations, and document studies. Subsequently, the researcher analyzed the collected data through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. After conducting the research steps mentioned above, the researcher concluded that the dominant motivation for teachers to continue their studies is primarily driven by external factors, such as educational alignment, institutional demands, and improving their quality of life. Internal motivations include enhancing personal quality as educators and support from their families. Lastly, the university's easy learning system and affordable tuition fees also contribute as motivational factors. Keywords: Motivation, Learning, ECE Teachers

Abstract

Character building in students in Islamic boarding schools is one of the important roles that continues to be carried out by caregivers, especially boarding school administrators. As a substitute element for the main caregiver, administrators have a central role in being able to monitor the development of students as a whole. Like the administrators of children's boarding schools, where administrators need basic skills in caring for children. Parenting training is needed to improve the knowledge and skills of boarding school administrators in caring for children in the boarding school environment. This service process uses a strategic approach with principles based on Asset Based Community-driven Development (ABCD). The important thing in the paradigm and principles of the ABCD approach is the context of understanding and internalizing assets, potential, strengths, and utilization that are carried out independently and optimally. The stages start from the program preparation stage, the program implementation stage, and the success stage of parenting training. As a result, the administrators of children's boarding schools benefit from understanding the phases of child development, related to physical, social, emotional, cognitive development, to personality development. The administrators are optimistic in developing a positive attitude towards students, including understanding how to communicate effectively. It is hoped that after this activity, the administrators will be able to increase awareness of the potential of good students in educating child students, so that the development of child students will be optimal.

Abstract

Abstract The adaptation process is an essential and inevitable phase that all new santri undergo. However, some santri experience significant challenges in navigating their first year. During this critical period, institutional support from pesantren administrators becomes vital. The musyrifah—female santri mentors assigned to accompany new santri—play a crucial role in facilitating a smooth adaptation process. This study aims to examine the psychological readiness of musyrifah in supporting new santri during their initial year. The participants consisted of 54 female musyrifah tasked with mentoring incoming santri. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews focusing on the musyrifah's preparedness to fulfill their mentoring responsibilities. The findings indicate that the musyrifah possess a high level of psychological readiness, encompassing five key dimensions: cognitive readiness, emotional readiness, moral readiness, behavioral readiness, and exemplary conduct. Abstract

Happiness is important and desired by everyone, including adult women. Adult women have both domestic and public roles, making them vulnerable to depression or other mental disorders. There are many sources and components that can increase the happiness of adult women, one of which is the level of education. This study aims to provide an overview of the happiness of adult women in terms of their level of education, presenting a valid source of data to improve the happiness of Indonesian women. This study used secondary data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS), with 7047 women aged 25-40 years as research subjects, and conducted regression analysis. The results showed that education level is significant in influencing the happiness level of Indonesian women (R2 = 0.012, F (1,6842) = 82.16, p < 0.001). The higher the education level of Indonesian women, the happier they would be. This study also examined age, marital status, and place of residence (rural or urban) for women's happiness.
