Abstract

Marital satisfaction will be realized if there is good interpersonal communication between husband and wife. To realize good interpersonal communication, effective interpersonal communication skills are needed so that they can distance themselves from destructive situations that will cause dissatisfaction in marriage. This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication with the marital satisfaction of husband and wife who have a career with the type of correlational quantitative research. The subject of this study involved 124 people or 62 couples who both worked in Malang district using the snowball sampling technique. Data collection uses the marital satisfaction scale and interpersonal communication scale, then analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation using the SPSS application. Based on the results of the study, the value of the correlation (r) on the husband was 0.791 with a probability of 0.000 (p <0.05) while the correlation value (r) for the wife was 0.700 with a probability of 0.000 (p <0.05). This means that there is a positive and significant relationship between interpersonal communication and marital satisfaction on a career husband and wife.

Abstract

Mahasiswa membuat seseorang memiliki  peran baru dalam dunia Pendidikan di Perguruan Tinggi. Ditemukan banyak perubahan  dalam kehidupan barunya tersebut sehingga membutuhkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang baik. Kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang kurang baik dapat menyebabkan seorang mahasiswa mengalami stress. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar acuan pembinaan kemahasiswaan yang lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik masing masing individu yang selanjutnya dikelompokkan berdasar karakteristik yang berdekatan. Menjadi dasar pemberian perlakuan yang tepat agar hasil pembelajaran menjadi optimal. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala stress dan penyesuaian diri. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran stress dan penyesuaian diri mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 2320 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa mahasiswa yang dalam kategori stres sedang sebanyak 55% , sebanyak 45 % dalam  kategori stres rendah, dan tidak ditemukan tingkat stress yang dalam kategori tinggi. Adapun Penyesuaian diri mahasiswa dalam kategori sedang sebanyak 88%, sebanyak 11% berada pada level penyesuaian diri rendah, dan 1% yang berada pada level tinggi.

Abstract

The value of work is a person’s belief associated with his/her life achievement. This study aimed to investigate the most value of work that emerged in every career stage. The numbers of respondents were 400 people taken by using random sampling technique. Methods of data analysis used a quantitative descriptive. The results were the dominant work value appeared at each career stages. Based on age category, below 30 years-old, the dominant value of work was comfort, age of 31 years-old up to 44 years-old was principles of altruism, over 45 years- old was the value of status, and at the age above 55 years-old was achievement. In regard to the position level, the dominant work values across the levels namely for Tamtama was comfort, for Bintara was altruism, Bintara Tinggi was achievement and autonomy, and for Perwira was achievement.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is one of fifteen forms of sexual violence that have occurred in Indonesia. Sexual harassment has a long-term negative impact in the form of low self-esteem. One of the factors that can affect self-esteem is social support from the environment. Adolescence is often associated with fluctuations in self-esteem because of the changes in individual’s way of thinking which are often influenced by the environment at this age. This research aims to see the effect of social support on female adolescent victims of sexual harassment on self-esteem. Sexual harassment in this study is specified in public space sexual harassment that occurs in public spaces. This study uses quantitative approach. Researcher used purposive sampling technique on adolescents aged 14-24 years who had experienced sexual harassment and had told their family, friends, and/or significant others about this experience. The instruments used in this study were Septian's (2018) Self Esteem Scale and modified Social Support Scale from Zimet's (1988) MSPSS Scale. After using regression analysis it was found that social support had a positive effect on self-esteem with a number of (r = 0.070, p <0.05) which means that the higher the social support that adolescent women get after telling their experiences of sexual harassment, the higher their self-esteem will be after sexual harassment and vice versa. Abstract

Intellectual disability is a limitation in intellectual capacity as well as in adaptive abilities, such as the ability to carry out daily activities such as eating, dressing, communicating, or participating in group activities. Some problems that can cause children to experience intellectual disabilities are due to problems from the mother's pregnancy and deficiencies in biological organs, especially the brain. This research aims to improve social interactions in children with intellectual disabilities. The subject is a 9-year-old boy. The assessment methods used are clinical interviews, observation, and the WISC test. The intervention technique used is play therapy with wayang dolls. The results of the intervention led to increased social interaction in children, namely being able to start greeting friends first by saying the friend's name and playing together with friends. Disabilitas intelektual adalah keterbatasan kapasitas intelektual serta kemampuan adaptif, seperti kemampuan melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari seperti makan, berpakaian, berkomunikasi, atau berpartisipasi dalam aktivitas kelompok. Beberapa permasalahan yang dapat menyebabkan anak mengalami disabilitas intelektual adalah karena adanya permasalahan dari kehamilan ibu dan kekurangan pada organ biologis khususnya otak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan interaksi sosial pada anak tunagrahita. Subjeknya adalah seorang anak laki-laki berusia 9 tahun. Metode penilaian yang digunakan adalah wawancara klinis, observasi, dan tes WISC. Teknik intervensi yang digunakan adalah terapi bermain dengan boneka wayang. Hasil intervensi menyebabkan peningkatan interaksi sosial pada anak yaitu dapat memulai menyapa teman terlebih dahulu dengan menyebutkan nama temannya dan bermain bersama dengan temannya.

Abstract

Academic engagement is key for students' academic success, life satisfaction, and overall student well-being. Emerging adult students often face various pressures that significantly influence their AE. This study aims to explore the mediating role of AB in the influence of a GM on AE among emerging adults. The study engaged with 314 students selected through convenience sampling. The instruments used were the GM Inventory, AB Scale, and Ultra-Short Utrecht Work Engagement Scale for data collection. The data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling using AMOS software. The findings demonstrated a positive and significant correlation between a GM and both AB and engagement. Notably, AB was found to significantly influence AE and played a substantial mediating role in the relationship between a GM and AE. The implications of these findings indicate that institutions should implement support programs aimed to enhancing AB and fostering a GM among students, thereby improving their AE, considering the complexity of interactions among these factors.
