Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan Pesisir Pantai Di Desa Bababulo Utara Kecamatan Pamboang Kabupaten Majene Sulawesi Barat (Studi Kasus Masyarakat Pedesaan Pesisir Pantai)”. Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan Pesisir Pantai Di Desa Bababulo Utara Kecamatan Pamboang Kabupaten Majene Sulawesi Barat (Studi Kasus Masyarakat Pedesaan Pesisir Pantai)”. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan Pesisir Pantai Di Desa Bababulo Utara Kecamatan Pamboang Kabupaten Majene Sulawesi Barat (Studi Kasus Masyarakat Pedesaan Pesisir Pantai)”. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif Kulatitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala desa dan 1 orang, tokoh masyarakat 1 orang,  Ketau BPD, dan organisasi kemasyarakatan yang terdiri dari Ketua BKM. Tahnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara. Dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk mengetahui Pemberdayaan masayarakat pedesaan pesisir pantai digunakan strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat pedesaan yang memperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa: Pemberdayaan yang dilakukan oleh Organisasi kepemudaan yang bergerak di bidang pemberdayaan masyarakat sangat baik karena iklim yang dibangun oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat saling melindungi dan saling membangun fasilitas infrastruktur dan suprasturktur, dan strategi gotong roying yang diciptakn menghasilkan kerjasama yang baik yang berakibat pada mudahnya pemecahan masalah yang di hadapai masyarakat karena pemberdayaan yang dlikaukan bukan sekedar kreatifitas melinkan lebih menekankan pada nilai-nilai kemanusiaan.

Abstract

This article examines the role of Collaborative Learning Networks (CLN) in empowering smallholder farmers economically in developing countries through a narrative literature review. CLN models, such as Farmer Field Schools (FFS), Farmer-to-Farmer Extension (F2FE), and Agricultural Cooperatives, offer solutions to address challenges like poverty, low productivity, limited market access, and vulnerability to economic-climatic shocks. The analysis reveals that CLN models contribute to enhancing technical knowledge, adopting sustainable technologies, and improving market access through multi-stakeholder collaboration. Agricultural Cooperatives are effective in strengthening farmers' bargaining power and income stability, while FFS focuses on building technical capacity. However, CLN efficacy depends on inclusive design, equitable network governance, and integration with structural reforms (e.g., land access, credit, and infrastructure). Challenges such as power imbalances, elite dominance, and hierarchical cultural norms may hinder empowerment outcomes. Policy recommendations include multidimensional programs combining technical training with institutional strengthening, gender quotas for women’s participation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. CLN holds potential as catalysts for sustainable rural development if supported by holistic and context-sensitive approaches.

Abstract

The issue of low environmental awareness and behaviour in higher education institutions requires an educational approach that is not only technical in nature, but also rooted in local cultural values. Muhammadiyah University Parepare, as a campus that promotes the slogan Bugis Mendunia (Bugis Goes Global), is committed to internalising Bugis local wisdom values in creating an environmentally friendly campus. This Community Service activity aims to implement the Bugis Heritage Course through environmental education based on Siri' na Pacce values for the academic community of Muhammadiyah University Parepare. The implementation method uses an educational-participatory approach combined with training and awareness through the creation of educational video media. The stages of the activity included planning, production, post-production, and dissemination of the video to students, lecturers, and educational staff. The results of the activity showed that educational videos based on Bugis local wisdom were able to become a contextual and relevant awareness-raising medium for campus life. The main output in the form of educational videos contributes to increasing the academic community's understanding of environmental awareness as a moral responsibility, personal honour, and social empathy. In addition, this activity strengthens the role of students as educational facilitators and agents of change in building an environmentally friendly campus culture. This PkM activity has the potential for sustainability through the use of educational media in lectures and other campus activities, so that the values of Bugis local wisdom can continue to be actualised in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to integrate the Pacce value as part of Bugis local wisdom in strengthening social solidarity and inclusive learning within educational settings. Pacce, which emphasizes empathy, social care, and responsibility toward others, is implemented in learning activities as an effort to reinforce humanistic and contextual character education. The program employed a participatory approach through four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. The participants were secondary school students who were actively involved in value-based discussions, context-driven material delivery, and reflective learning experiences. The results indicate an increase in students’ understanding and awareness of the importance of empathy, cooperation, mutual respect, and acceptance of diversity in school life. The integration of Pacce values contributes to the creation of an inclusive learning climate and the strengthening of social relationships among students. The novelty of this program lies in the utilization of Pacce as a pedagogical framework for inclusive learning that not only functions as a local wisdom–based character education approach but also explicitly supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (quality and inclusive education) and SDG 16 (peace, justice, and strong social cohesion) within the educational context. This program provides both conceptual and practical contributions to the development of sustainable, culturally grounded character education and inclusive learning practices.

Abstract

The coffee business is booming along with the growth of coffee shops, both large and small scale. This fact makes the coffee market more competitive, so coffee producers need to innovate and diversify more varied coffee preparations. The purpose of this empowerment is to encourage partners to present products that are different from the products that have been produced so far. This activity develops liquid cinnamon processed coffee which is a diversification of Rizki Amalia's MSME ground coffee products. This cinnamon coffee making training is based on the problem of high competitiveness between ground coffee producers in Enrekang. Black ground coffee producers and sellers have been widely spread in Enrekang district so that better innovation is needed to increase the selling value of coffee products. The results of this training contributed new knowledge and skills for Rizki Amalia MSME players in processing black ground coffee products combined with ground cinnamon. This activity is expected to make Rizki Amalia MSME products have a higher selling value than before. In the future, assistance to Rizki Amalia MSMEs will continue to provide training on developing digital-based product marketing.
