Abstract

The purposes of this study are: (1) to produce smart building training kit products, and (2) to find out the feasibility of the smart building trainer kit as a learning medium for Electrical Lighting Installation Practices in Vocational High Schools (VHS). This research employed the research and development (R & D) with the ADDIE model based on Branch (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The techniques to collect the data included interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The research results show that (1) smart building trainer kit has been produced as a learning tool for Electric Lighting Installation Practices at VHSs with the dimensions of 96 cm in length, 67 cm in height, 25 cm in width at the bottom, and 13 cm at the top; and (2) the developed product was declared very feasible by material experts (95.83%), very feasible by media experts (89.06%), and appropriate by VHS students (80.8%).

Abstract

The research aims: (1) to produce conveyor trainer kit equipped with a monitoring system along with its work performance, (2) to know the appropriateness and effectiveness of the use of conveyor trainer kit and module of PLC practical learning. This study is a development research using ADDIE model based on Branch, RB. The steps of this study are: analysis, designing, developing, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection is conducted through observation, survey, and test by using the instruments: observation sheets, questionnaire, and examination. The data are analyzed descriptively using nonparametric test of difference by Mann Whitney. The finding shows: (1) the product of conveyor trainer kit equipped with monitoring system has good work performance; (2) conveyor trainer kit and the module are very appropriate, and the implementation of conveyor trainer kit and module of PLC practical learning can improve student learning outcomes in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects effectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui unjuk kerja modul wireless sensor network berbasis Lora RFM95W. Pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan metode research and development dengan model pengembangan ADDIE dari Robert Branch. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Departemen Pendidikan Teknik Elektro dengan subyek penelitian adalah ahli materi, ahli media, dan mahasiswa. Instumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket dengan skala likert empat pilihan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji reliabilitas untuk instrumen pengguna menggunakan rumus alpha cronbach. Hasil produk penelitian dan pengembangan adalah: Modul Wireless Sensor Network berbasis Lora RFM95W, buku panduan, dan labsheet praktikum. Komponen yang digunakan pada modul antara lain NodeMCU V3, Lora RFM95W, Antena SMA MALE 915 Mhz, sensor, dan aktuator. Unjuk kerja jarak komunikasi antar modul mencapai 648 meter, alur komunikasi bintang dan alur komunikasi serial dapat bekerja dengan baik.
