Abstract

The objectives of this research are to know the practicality and the effectiveness of the development of teaching material and ICT-based media toward learning outcome on material of quadratic equations and function. Research subjects are mathematics education students of FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Metro. Experimental design uses a before-after or one group pretest-posttest technique. The technique of collecting data uses the questionnaires and tests. Data analysis uses paired sample t-test. The results obtained by the value of sig. = 0.000 where the value of α = 0.05 and the value of t = 6807> ttable = 2,015, so it can be concluded that the value of the pre-test and post-test was very significantly different. The marginal average was known that post-test value was greater than that of the pre-test, so it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of teaching materials and ICT-based media toward learning outcomes. In other words, the teaching materials and ICT-based media are very effective for teaching and learning.Keywords: teaching material and media, ICT, quadratic equations and function.

Abstract

Mathematics is a very important subject to be taught in SD / MI because mathematics is very useful in the daily lives of students and is needed as a basis for learning advanced mathematics and other subjects. Problem Solving is an effort to find a way out that is done in achieving the goal (learning outcomes), by understanding the elements that are known, asked, and the adequacy of the elements needed, able to make or compile mathematical models, can choose and develop strategies for solving, able to explain and verify the answers obtained. Course Review Horay (CRH) is a learning method that can create a festive and fun classroom atmosphere. In this case, experimental research was used. In this case it can be concluded that the Course Review Horay (CRH) is more efficient than the Problem Solving Method in learning Mathematics in Elementary Schools.

Abstract

Learning models that are only applied to face-to-face or online learning do not place students in learning situations anytime and anywhere. A conducive learning situation is important to design, especially in improving creative thinking skills, which include high-level abilities. The purpose of this paper is to describe how the blended learning model is able to provide wide space and opportunities for students to be actively involved in learning so as to foster creative thinking skills in problem solving. This research is an experimental study involving only one group. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations, and documentation. The research data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The findings of this study are that 1) the blended learning model is proven to be effective in improving students' creative thinking skills, and 2) student involvement in learning has a positive impact on increasing creative thinking skills. Thus, blended learning learning designs that place students in learning situations without limitations of space and time are considered more effective in improving creative thinking skills

Abstract

Siswa Indonesia memiliki kemampuan literasi matematika yang jauh dari rerata internasional. Langkah strategis yang dapat diambil untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa adalah dengan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika calon guru pada tingkat sekolah dasar atau madrasah ibtidaiyah dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis PBL untuk meningkatkan literasi matematika yang layak, efektif dan praktis untuk calon guru madrasah ibtidaiyah. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model desain pengembangan Dick & Carey dan Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi dengan langkah-langkah 1) studi pendahuluan, 2) pengembangan bahan ajar, 3) validasi bahan ajar dan 4) uji coba bahan ajar. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 52 mahasiswa PGMI Semester 3. Perolehan data penelitian dari angket, wawancara, tes, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahan ajar literasi matematika berbasis PBL layak berdasarkan penilaian para ahli. Berdasarkan hasil uji perbedaan rata-rata pretes dan postes dengan Uji Wilcoxon nilai Asymp.sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan literasi matematika sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Kepraktisan dilihat dari rerata nilai angket yaitu 4,62 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahan ajar PBL yang dikembangkan layak, efektif dan praktis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika mahasiswa calon guru madrasah ibtidaiyah.Indonesian students have mathematical literacy skills that are far from the international average. Strategic steps that can be taken to improve students' mathematical literacy skills are to improve the mathematical literacy skills of prospective teachers at the elementary school or madrasah ibtidaiyah level by developing teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research aims to develop PBL-based teaching materials to improve mathematical literacy that are feasible, effective and practical for prospective madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers.. This development research uses a development design model Dick & Carey and Borg & Gall which has been modified with the steps 1) preliminary study, 2) development of teaching materials, 3) validation of teaching materials and 4) testing of teaching materials. The sample in the research was 52 PGMI Semester 3 students. Research data was obtained from questionnaires, interviews, tests and documentation studies. The research results prove that PBL-based mathematical literacy teaching materials are appropriate based on expert assessments. Based on the test results, the difference between the average pretest and posttest with Test Wilcoxon mark Asymp.sig.(2-tailed) equal to 0.000 < 0.05, then there is a significant difference between mathematical literacy abilities before and after using the developed teaching materials. Practicality can be seen from the average questionnaire score, namely 4.62 with very good criteria. The conclusion of this research is that the PBL teaching materials developed are feasible, effective and practical for improving the mathematical literacy skills of prospective madrasah ibtidaiyah teacher students.

Abstract

Mathematics textbooks that provide more descriptions of material and routine problems used so far cannot facilitate students in active learning activities. The lack of active students in learning activities causes creative thinking skills not to develop optimally. This paper aims to describe how problem-based learning textbooks can facilitate students in solving problems with different or varied solutions and even something new to foster creative thinking skills. This problem-based textbook has been developed and is one of the research products of IAIN Metro lecturers in 2021. This research is an experimental study consisting of experimental and control groups. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. The test data were analyzed using the mean difference test using the Mann-Whitney formula, while the observation data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings of this study are constructive learning activities and open problems contained in problem-based learning textbooks significantly improve creative thinking skills. It is shown that the increase in creative thinking skills of students who study using problem-based learning textbooks is substantially higher than students who study using other textbooks. Thus, problem-based learning textbooks contribute to improving students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Mathematics as one of the basic science plays an important role in accelerating mastery of technology science. On the other hand, students to the learning process are also lacking, they cannot yet believe themselves that they are able to study math material in more depth. This research uses descriptive method. The subjects in this study are Strata I students majoring in Teacher Education Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) Islamic High School (STAIN) Jurai Siwo Metro 2016/2017 as many as 92 Students. The results show that students' self-confidence is generally good enough. It can be seen from the questionnaire which shows that 28.26% or about 27 students reach the medium criteria, 48.91% or about 45 students reach high criteria, and 21.27% or about 20 students reach very high criteria.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di madrasah ibtidaiyah memegang peranan penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir logis, kritis, dan adaptif peserta didik. Namun, aspek tersebut seringkali dihadapkan pada kendala rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan sikap peserta didik terhadap matematika di kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 4 Lampung Timur. Metode pre-eksperimental dengan desain pretest-posttest pada satu kelompok tanpa kelompok kontrol dipilih untuk mengukur perubahan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik setelah penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah, ditandai dengan peningkatan rata-rata skor dari pretest ke posttest. Selain itu, peserta didik juga menunjukkan sikap positif dan kepercayaan diri yang lebih tinggi terhadap matematika. Kata Kunci: Matematika Madrasah Ibtidaiyah; Pemecahan Masalah

Abstract

Kemampuan melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas merupakan bagian penting dari kompetensi profesional seorang guru. Namun faktanya banyak guru yang masih enggan dan kesulitan dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas. Kegiatan ini bertujuan melakukan pendampingan kepada guru MI untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Model pengabdian yang digunakan adalah Community Based Research (CBR). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantatitif yang berupa persentase. Riset pengabdian ini menghasilkan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan yang dilakukan kepada guru MI memiliki kontribusi dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan kompetensi guru melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pendampingan kemitraan antara dosen dan guru memiliki dampak positif bagi peningkatan kualitas pendidikan baik di pihak perguruan tinggi maupun di sekolah
