Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultural signs of East Java used in the film Bumi Manusia. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that will produce descriptive data that will explain how the meaning of East Javanese culture is contained in the film Bumi Manusia. The subject of this research is a file of the Earth of Man with a duration of 181 minutes, which then selects the pieces, then 7 scenes are obtained as objects that are not East Javanese culture which is analyzed based on Roland Barthes' semiotic theory to reveal the denotation, connotation, and myths of the elements. culture used in the film Earth of Man. The results of this study are cultural signs used in the film Bumi Manusia which have meaning, lessons, and life guidelines from the philosophy behind every cultural ritual that is undertaken. How to respect parents, also the actions of women and men in everyday life, and in married life that can be taken as examples to be applied in everyday life.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran dan fungsi dalam aktivitas komunikasi pada masyarakat, subjek penelitian adalah masyarakat yang tinggal atau menetap di kelurahan dembe II kecamatan kota utara. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskritif, teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan cara wawancara dengan tokoh masyarakat dan masyarakat umum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran dan fungsi bahasa tradisional (bahasa daerah gorontalo) yang sudah tidak merata, hal ini dilihat berdasarkan 3 fungsi yaitu bahasa (1) fungsi penamaan, di kelurahan dembe II ini masih menggunakan bahasa daerah Gorontalo. (2) fungsi interaksi, di kelurahan Dembe II kecamatan kota Utara  fungsi ini sudah tidak merata, hanya ada beberapa masyarakatnya yang masih aktif menggunakan bahasa daerah Gorontalo sedangkan masyarakat yang lainnya sudah tidak aktif menggunakan bahasa daerah Gorontalo terutama golongan anak-anak dan remaja.(3) fungsi transmisi, fungsi ini sudah tidak berjalan dengan baik karena di kelurahan Dembe II anak-anak hingga remaja sudah tidak bisa menggunakan bahasa daerah Gorontalo dengan baik yang berdampak akan menggeser penggunaan bahasa daerah Gorontalo di kelurahan Dembe II di masa yang akan datang. Setiap tahunnya pemerintah dan masyarakat selalu berbagai acara-acara adat hingga festival di kelurahan Dembe II, di mana acara-acara tersebut selalu dan wajib menggunakan bahasa daerah Gorontalo untuk penamaan hingga pidato penyambutan dari para pejabat. Pemerintah juga mewajibkan untuk menggunakan bahasa daerah Gorontalo di lingkungan sekolah di hari-hari tertentu. Seperti halnya gunakanlah Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar, pertahankan bahasa daerah dan kuasai bahasa asing. This research aims to find out how the role and function of communication activities in the community, the subject of this study is the community who live or settle in the village of dembe II north city subdistrict. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods, data collection techniques, namely by way of interviews with public figures and the general public. The results showed the role and function of traditional languages (Gorontalo regional languages) that have been uneven, this is seen based on 3 functions, namely language (1) naming function, in the village of dembe II is still using Gorontalo regional language. (2) The interaction function, in the village of Dembe II north city sub-district this function is not evenly distributed, there are only a few people who are still actively using the Gorontalo regional language while other communities are no longer actively using Gorontalo regional languages, especially children and adolescents. (3) Transmission function, this function is not running well because in the village of Dembe II children to teenagers can not use the Gorontalo regional language properly which will have an impact will shift the use of the Gorontalo regional language in dembe II village in the future. Every year the government and the community always various customary events to festivals in the village of Dembe II, where these events are always and must use the Gorontalo regional language for naming to welcome speeches from officials. The government is also required to use the Gorontalo language in the school environment on certain days. Just like using a good and correct Indonesian, maintain a regional language and master a foreign language.

Abstract

Kepala desa bertanggung jawab penuh kepada seluruh warga yang tinggal diwilayahnya. Untuk mendapatkan seorang pemimping yang baik tentunya dilibatkan seluruh warganya dalam memilih, ini biasanya disebut pesta demokrasi desa. Seorang kepala desa dipilih oleh warga desa secara langsung bebas dan rahasia. Masa jabatan kepala desa yaitu enam tahun dan dapat diberhentikan oleh atas usul Pimpinan Badan Permusyawaratan Desa (BPD) kepada Bupati/Walikota melalui Camat. Permasalahan yang seringkali terjadi adalah kebingungan warga dalam dalam memilih calon kepala desanya karena warga tidak mempunyai informasi dan mengetahui rekam jejak seorang kepala desa. Proses pemilihan kepala desa tidak menjadi perhatian warga, menurut penelitian rata – rata warga hanya menunggu saja siapa yang terpilih tanpa dilibatkan atau melibatkan diri dalam pemilihan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka ditawarkan alternatif berupa suatu pembangunan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) dengan menggunakan suatu metode dalam penyelesaian masalah. Penelitian mendapatkan hasil membandingkan nilai alternatif menggunakan metode ELECTRE maka didapat urutan alternatif terbaik dengan hasil yang objektif. Hasil analisis yang didapatkan adalah bahwa alternatif Wawan dan Ridwan memiliki nilai  yang lebih sedikit daripada alternatif Yakub. Dengan demikian bahwa dalam pemilihan calon kepala desa, yang menjadi menjadi kandidat calon adalah Yakub yang berhasil mengeliminasi kedua alternatif lainnya.

Abstract

Communication in the business world is significantly considered capable of overcoming various problems faced by a company.  Various strategies are needed to survive every business challenge today.  Communication strategies play a significant role in marketing goods or services. This study aims to find and analyze the marketing communication strategy of airplane ticket sales at PT TX Tour and Travel Gorontalo Branch. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is done through observation and interviews. The result of this study is that the owner and employees of the company have carried out some marketing communication strategies (Morissan, 2010), namely: 1) Direct marketing through direct offers to potential customers of products or services. 2) Sales promotion is carried out through discounts for a minimum purchase of 20 airplane tickets. 3) Advertising is carried out actively in the form of promotions on social media. 4) Personal selling carried out is in the form of face-to-face communication with customers walking in directly. 5) Public Relations is only carried out through public relations activities with a general pattern because PT TX Tour and Travel Gorontalo Branch does not have a special public relations division. Marketing communication applied by PT TX Tour and Travel Gorontalo Branch has the strength to survive amid development and competition. However, PT TX Tour and Travel Gorontalo Branch still has weaknesses that need to be improved again with new, more innovative strategic planning techniques to face competition in the travel tourism business. Keywords: marketing communication, airplane ticket sales

Abstract

A communication pattern is a form or design of a relationship between two or more people sending and receiving messages related to the two components. Communication strategies are carried out by making the right design to change people's behavior. This study aimed to determine the communication pattern of BK teachers with students who were victims of Bullying at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. The method used in the study is the qualitative research method. The data analysis methodology uses Miles and Huberman's data analysis methodology, which consists of the data collection stage, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/evaluation drawing stage. As a result, it was found that the communication pattern between BK teachers and students who were victims of Bullying was a one-way communication pattern where only BK teachers and BK teachers spoke. Students actively communicate their messages. A two-way communication pattern that involves the BK teacher as a listener, notes, and responses from students and many stakeholders: BK teachers, class teachers, parents, and student friends Involves multi-way communication patterns and interactions in the communication process.

Abstract

Child-Friendly School is a program aimed at achieving safe, clean, healthy, caring, and environmentally conscious conditions that ensure the fulfillment of children's rights and protection from violence, discrimination, and other forms of mistreatment while they are in educational institutions. It also supports children's participation, particularly in planning, policies, learning, and supervision. One of the objectives of developing the Child-Friendly School Policy is to fulfill, guarantee, and protect children's rights, as well as to ensure that educational institutions can develop children's interests, talents, and abilities, and prepare them to be responsible for a tolerant, respectful, collaborative life for progress and a spirit of peace. The research aims to design a Web-based Decision Support System for Selecting Child-Friendly Schools in the Education Office of Gorontalo City using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The research adopts the Waterfall method as the research approach and conducts Whitebox and Blackbox testing for the system. The research findings indicate that the system can facilitate schools applying for child-friendly school certification from the Education Office of Gorontalo City. It provides a transparent ranking output based on the assessment of predetermined criteria weights. The system can perform quick, accurate, and precise weighting calculations using the SAW decision support method, and it provides information on the suitability status based on the weight values derived from the matrix summation after the 'SAW method' button is processed

Abstract

Bullying in the workplace not only has a negative impact on the individual who is the victim, but also has negative consequences for the organization and witnesses who witnessed the incident. The purpose of the study is to describe the psychological aspects related to bullying in the work environment using a valid theoretical conceptual framework. This study combines the Analytical Network Process (ANP) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approaches to investigate the phenomenon of bullying in the work environment with a focus on the gender dimension. The findings suggest that gender has a significant role in influencing the experience of bullying in the workplace, with significant differences between individuals based on their gender. The integrative models of ANP and SEM successfully identified the complexity of the relationship between related variables such as the strength of interpersonal relationships, gender differences, and organizational policies, while also highlighting the negative impact of bullying on individual psychological well-being and organizational productivity. This study shows that all indicators of bullying behavior in the workplace have a p > value of 0.3 based on the results of confirmatory factor analysis. These indicators are threats to professional status (0.591), threats to individuals (0.538), isolating (0.399), excessive workload (0.649), and acts that cause instability (0.310). These results indicate that each of these factors is significant and relevant in measuring bullying behavior in the work environment.

Abstract

Bahasa daerah merupakan bahasa etnis yang harus di lestarikan sebagai kearifan lokal yang menjadi pemersatu dalam etnis itu sendiri dan dapat menjadi ikon pariwisata daerah. Penelitian ini mengambil study kasus pada bahasa daerah suku bolango yang berlokasi di kabupaten bolaang mongondow selatan dan Daerah Tapa Gorontalo. Urgensi Penelitian ini adalah Penurunan jumlah penutur dan adanya invasi bahasa asing merupakan indikator utama tergesernya eksistensi bahasa dan sastra daerah, dimana era perkembangan media komunikasi moderen yang mengancam keberadaan dan pelestarian bahasa daerah sehingga mulai terancam punah. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk Menganalisis Upaya Strategi Pelestarian Bahasa Daerah suku bolango dengan memanfaatkan Teknologi Informasi dalam membangun Kamus Digital tiga Bahasa yaitu Bahasa Bolango, Bahasa Indonesia, dan Bahasa Inggris. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Kualiatatif, dimana peneliti mencoba memahami, mengeksplorasi, dan berinteraksi dengan orang-orang yang terkait dengan fokus penelitian untuk mempelajari informasi dan data Terkait Pelestarian bahasa Bolango . Hasil perancangan kamus digital Bolango – Bahasa Indonesia – Inggris ini menjadi media penting dalam mendukung pelestarian bahasa Bolango. Kamus ini tidak hanya memfasilitasi pembelajaran dan konservasi bahasa, tetapi juga membuka jalan bagi generasi muda dan masyarakat internasional untuk mengenal dan menghargai kekayaan budaya dan bahasa lokal Bolango

Abstract

Peran E-Commerce dalam mendukung Program Digital Economi sangat dibutuhkan daerah kabupaten Gorontalo untuk membantu memperkuat ekonomi lokal dengan memfasilitasi akses ke pasar yang lebih luas, Urgensi  Penelitian berdasarkan study literatur dan hasil observasi mengangakat permasalahan bahwa belum ada terdapat penelitian pengembangan aplikasi e-commerce khusunya hasil peternakan menggunakan Location Based serviced dengan metode havesine sehingga Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun aplikasi E-Commerce Menggunakan integrasi Metode Location Based Service dengan Algoritma Haversisne berbasis Android pada pemasaran hasil Peternakan daerah kabupaten gorontalo sehingga dapat  menawarkan solusi inovatif untuk menghubungkan peternak dengan konsumen melalui platform digital. Metode ini memanfaatkan layanan berbasis lokasi untuk menentukan jarak antara penjual dan pembeli secara akurat, memungkinkan optimalisasi distribusi hasil ternak dan pengiriman yang lebih efisien. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa LBS dan algoritma Haversine mampu memberikan efisiensi  dalam pengelolaan distribusi dan pemetaan pasar lokal dengan hasil perhitungan jarak tempuh mengunakan google Maps sejauh 23,3 km, sedangkan hasil menggunakan algoritma haversine lebih cepat yaitu 12,1 km, terdapat perbedaan jaarak tempuh sekitar 11 km. Platform ini juga meningkatkan akses pasar bagi peternak lokal, memberikan peluang pemasaran yang lebih baik, serta memperkuat ekosistem perdagangan hasil ternak berbasis digital.
