Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is an Indonesian language teaching program aimed at foreign speakers. Errors are an inevitable part of learning that every language learner commonly encounters in language errors. The research purposes are to know the form of errors in the foreign students’ language in the various levels (spelling, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics), and to know the factors causing errors in the use of Indonesian language writing skills of foreign students in Indonesian language learning program BIPA IAIN Surakarta. The research subjects are students who came from Thailand. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation during the activities in the BIPA Program. Data validity technique is triangulation technique namely source, method, and technique triangulation. This research applies error analysis or correct analysis. The implementation steps are 1) data collection, 2) error identification 3) error description 4) error classification 5) error evaluation. Based on the classification of data in spelling, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics, it can be concluded that language errors in Thai students tends to be in many classifications. In the data of phonological level, there are several error pronunciations that cause phoneme changes, phonemic addition, and phoneme omission. In the morphological data classification, there are some errors from the findings data such as errors in affixes usage in which the most dominant error of affixes usage is the occurrence of prefix form followed by suffix and confix. In the syntactic data classification, there are some errors in the structure of sentences, the function of the word in many sentences are reversed structure. In the semantics data classification, there are many errors in the selection of words (diction) in a sentence. Factors influencing Thai students' language errors are internal factors and external factors.       Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) merupakan program pengajaran bahasa Indonesia yang ditujukan untuk penutur asing. Kesalahan merupakan suatu bagian belajar yang tidak terhindarkan setiap pembelajar bahasa umumnya mengalami kesalahan dalam berbahasa. Adapun tujuan penelitian dalam penulisan ini yaitu, mengetahui bentuk kesalahan berbahasa pada mahasiswa asing dalam tataran (ejaan, fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik), serta mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan pemakaian bahasa Indonesia dalam kemampuan menulis mahasiswa asing dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia program BIPA IAIN Surakarta. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa baru BIPA yang berasal dari Thailand. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi selama kegiatan di dalam Program BIPA. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik triangulasi, yaitu triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode, dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kesalahan (correc analysis). Langkah-langkah pelaksanaaan yang dimaksud 1) pengumpulan data, 2) pengidentifikasian kesalahan, 3) penjelasan kesalahan 4) peng-klasifikasian kesalahan 5) pengevaluasian kesalahan. Berdasarkan klasifikasi data baik dalam tataran ejaan, fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecenderungan kesalahan berbahasa pada mahasiswa Thailand. Pada klasifikasi data tataran fonologi, terjadi beberapa kesalahan pelafalan yang menyebabkan perubahan fonem, penambahan fonem, dan penghilangan fonem suatu kata. Pada klasifikasi data tataran morfologi, terjadi beberapa kesalahan dari data temuan yaitu kesalahan penggunaan afiks paling dominan terjadi pada bentuk prefiks yang diikuti oleh sufiks dan konfiks. Pada klasifikasi data tataran sintaksis, terjadi beberapa kesalahan pada struktur kalimat, fungsi kata dalam kalimat banyak yang terbolak-balik strukturnya. Pada klasifikasi data tataran semantik telah ditemukan beberapa kesalahan dalam pemilihan kata (diksi) dalam suatu kalimat. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesalahan berbahasa mahasiswa Thailand yaitu faktor internal dan faktor ekternal. Kata Kunci: Kesalahan Berbahasa, Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia, Program BIPA

Abstract

Sign language is the language used by the deaf to communicate. In general, there are two types of sign languages used in Indonesia, namely SIBI (Indonesian sign language system) and BISINDO (Indonesian sign language). Of the two, the sign language most often used by the deaf is BISINDO, because BISINDO is considered easier to understand. This study aims to explain the use of BISINDO in Deaf Indonesian language classes in the Surakarta Gerkatin organization. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data in the form of image documentation. The data source is in the form of sign language learning process. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, recording and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques use interactive models. The results showed that the movements used in BISINDO learning at Gerkatin Surakarta involved the use of facial expressions, body language, arms and hands. There is a lot of vocabulary taught such as learning words, Indonesian, not yet, like, where, like, small, eat, alone, understand, don't know, work, sleep, words, healthy, black, fat, thin, color, about, purpose, lesson, early. If you look closely at the vocabulary taught, it has different conceptual sign languages. Like a like sign, demonstrated with the position of the hands in front of the mouth, then the palms open up plus the movement of the hands sticking from the chest towards the other person. Small gesture, in front of the chest with the tip of the thumb against the ring finger and the other three fingers open upwards, accompanied by a plucking motion of the two attached fingers. All the movements taught are made natural so that they are easy to understand according to the interpretation of the deaf. Thus, it is hoped that this variation of BISINDO's sign language will be increasingly recognized and widely used in teaching deaf sign language.

Abstract

Current learning must be directed at higher-order thinking skills and text-based. This condition certainly requires an adaptation process that is not easy. Based on these problems, this study aims to describe the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in text-based learning at State Elementary School of Banyurip 3 Sambungmacan or called SDN Banyurip 3 Sambungmacan. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The documents used in this study are in the form of a syllabus, lesson plans, and photos of the learning process. Data validity is done using the triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The formulation of the problems examined in this study shows how (1) HOTS planning in text-based learning (2) HOTS implementation in text-based learning (3) HOTS assessment in text-based learning (4) how the constraints experienced in the application of HOTS in text-based learning. The results showed that the planning and implementation of text-based learning had gone well. The selection of learning components has been able to build a HOTS learning atmosphere. Text-based learning assessments in elementary schools have used authentic assessments. Obstacles experienced by teachers in the process of text-based learning include; arrange the right plan, the difficulty in dividing the time allocation, the selection of the right media, the suitability of learning resources with student characteristics, the integration of interesting learning methods.

Abstract

The culinary business has been flourishing in every city in Indonesia, including Surakarta, Malang, and Tangerang. Consequently, determining the names of products becomes crucial to pique the interest of the public in these offerings. This research is aimed to review the naming of food and beverages using a semiology approach. The research uses a descriptive explanative method. The data in this research are the names of food and beverages. The sources of the data are documents related to names of culinary businesses (food and beverages) in restaurants in Surakarta, Malang, and Tangerang. The data collection was conducted through documentation, observation, and data recording in data format. The data analysis uses referential equivalent, strengthened with semiology theory from Roland Barthes, namely searching for signs, denotative meaning, connotative meaning, and myth. The research indicates that, in general, the names of food and beverages sold in restaurants often contain unconventional elements, including references to ghosts, animals, and other negative connotations prohibited in the Decree of The Head of Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH or the Halal Product Assurance Agency) Number 57 Year 2021. This suggests that the naming of food and beverages in Surakarta, Malang, and Tangerang does not align with the provisions outlined in Decree Number 57 Year 2021, preventing the business owners from obtaining halal certification. The research recommends that the naming of halal food and beverage products adhere to the guidelines set by this decree.

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA) merupakan program yang membahas bahasa Indonesia yang meminta para penutur asing. Bertujuan agar siswa dapat belajar dengan efektif untuk menguasai bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa kedua. Komponen dalam program pembelajaran BIPAerbitkan RPP, silabus, dan bahan ajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan analisis kesalahan (analisis koreksi). Hasil analisis menunjukkan kesalahan pada bahan ajar menyimak IAIN Surakarta ada dalam tataran ejaan, fonologi, sintaksis, dan semantik. Pada klasifikasi tataran, variasi variasi yang digunakan pada huruf kapital, huruf cetak miring, dan tanda baca.Pada klasifikasi tataran fonologi, terjadi beberapa kesalahan pelafalan yang menyebabkan perubahan fonem, menggunakan fonem, dan penghilangan fonem suatu kata. Dari pelafalan huruf vokal, konsonan, gabungan konsonan, dan gugus konsonan. Pada klasifikasi tataran sintaksis, terjadi beberapa kesalahan pada struktur kalimat, estimasi tidak ada predikat, subjek, dan tidak berlebihan. Pada klasifikasi tataran ditemukan beberapa kesalahan pemilihan kata (diksi) dalam suatu kalimat. Kesalahan tersebut terjadi karena adanya pengaruh bahasa lisan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yaitu faktor internal yang berkaitan dengan pengetahuan pengajar BIPA tentang bahasa, sedangkan faktor eksternal yaitu pelaksanaan program yang merupakan rintisan awal.Â
