Abstract

Tanjung Saluksuk merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di Kecamatan Pegagan Hilir, Kabupaten Dairi, memiliki luas wilayah sebesar 1.927,80 km² (BPS, 2022). Desa Tanjung Saluksuk terdiri dari Dusun Pange Pinto, Dusun Saluksuk dan Dusun Sosor Baru. Desa Tanjung Saluksuk memiliki jumlah kepala keluarga sebanyak 169 KK dengan ansumsi setiap KK memiliki 4-5 orang, merupakan wilayah sektor pertanian seperti durian dan duku, tergantung pada persediaan air. Lokasi penelitan ini dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Saluksuk Kecamatan Pegagan Hilir. Alasan memilih lokasi ini adalah program Kuliah Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (KPPM) dari Prodi Manajemen Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Perairan UHKBPNP. Sebagian besar masyarakat yang ada di Desa Tanjung Saluksuk memanfaatkan pemandian umum untuk MCK, selain itu, jika pemandian umum tidak mengalir maka masyarakat desa menampung air hujan di bak penampungan air di rumah masing-masing.     Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah. Perilaku masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan tempat pemandian umum (kobak)sebagai sarana MCK di Desa Tanjung Saluksuk dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya: a.Faktor ekonomi, b.Faktor lingkungan, dan c. Faktor sosial budaya; 2. Dampak pemanfaatan tempat pemandian umum (kobak)sebagai sarana MCK bagi kesehatan masyarakat. ; 3. Terpenuhinya kebutuhan akan kesehatan yang sesuai dengan stadar peilaku hidup bersih dan sehat yang direncanakan oleh pemerintah.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah pengajaran tentang ilmu pengetahuan yang ada maupun ilmu pengetahuan baru di dalam bermasyarakat demi terjalannya sistem yang sudah berlaku di dalam dunia secara generasi ke generasi, sehingga peneliti (Mahasiswa) melakukan pendekatan kepada pelaku utama dalam pendidikan bermasyarakat yaitu orangtua dan anak sekolah. Mahasiswa merupakan harapan bangsa untuk melaksanakan salah satu dari Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi yakni Pengabdian Masyarakat, dengan tujuan pengabdian masyarakat adalah Desa Perrik Mbue, Kabupaten Dairi. Desa Perrik Mbue sendiri adalah Desa kecil yang berpusat pada hasil pertanian, dan mayoritas penghasilan terbanyak masyarakat desa kecil ini dari pertanian. Kemajuan sangat berkembang pesat di bidang pendidikan dan lingkungan, tetapi pemikiran seorang anak dan orangtua tidak penting terhadap kemajuan pendidikan dan lingkungan, karena pendidikan dapat diperoleh dari SD-SMA selama 12 tahun, setelah tamat dari SMA (Sekolah Menengah Atas), seorang anak harus bekerja menjadi pengusaha. Pemikiran yang tidak luas ini harus diubah agar mereka tahu bahwa pendidikan sangat penting, yakni dengan cara memberikan pemahaman dan jawaban atas ketakutan yang ada agar seorang anak ataupun siswa mulai membuka diri terhadap dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

Avertebrata air merupakan hewan yang tidak memiliki tulang belakang yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai kerajinan tangan dan makanan, agar tidak menjadi limbah. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada guru di SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Pardamean Kabupaten Simalungun Provinsi Sumatera Utara tentang pemanfaatan hewan avertebrata air dari buku ajar. Pengabdian ini telah dilakukan di Dolok Pardamean, Kabupaten Simalungun dengan metode sosialisasi dan angket. Hasil pengabdian menunjukan bahwa banyak guru yang masih belum paham tentang pemanfaatan hewan avertebrata air. Dari pengabdian ini terlihat animo guru sangat tinggi, dan menjadi paham 100% dari hasil angket tentang pemanfaatan hewan avertebrata air setelah dilakukan sosialisasi. This service aims to provide information to teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Pardamean, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province about the use of aquatic invertebrates from textbooks. This service has been carried out in Dolok Pardamean, Simalungun Regency with the method of socialization and questionnaires. The results of the service show that many teachers still do not understand the use of aquatic invertebrates. From this service, it can be seen that the teacher's interest is very high, and they understand 100% of the results of the questionnaire on the use of aquatic invertebrates after socialization. Abstract

The TSS research using GEE Cloud Technology in Sibolga Waters was carried out from February to April 2021, Mey to July 2021, August to October 2021, and October to December 2021. The analysis was carried out using the Sentinel-2 Satellite. TSS results showed that the highest amount was 60-120 mg/liter and the lowest was 0-60 mg/l. The content of TSS is spread evenly around the edge of the Sibolga coast to the Middle of Sibolga Waters and has passed the quality standard limit according to the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia which means the Sibolga Water area is polluted and improper for drinking water as well as for fish cultivation. The result has been seasonal influence can determine the direction of the TSS distribution pattern, both tidal factors and weather conditions such as rain and dry season. The side effect on the TSS distribution pattern in Sibolga Waters causes the TSS value at high tide to be higher than at low tide. Sentinel-2 TOA Reflectance Data imagery can be used to map the TSS distribution pattern in the Sibolga Waters area.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 Februari 2023 sampai dengan 04 April 2023 di Kecamatan Pegagan Hilir Kabupaten Dairi Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memperkenalkan tentang menjaga dan merawat kualitas air serta mengelola air kotor menjadi air yang layak diminum bahkan pemaparan pembuatan aliran air dari sederhana sampai modernisasi.

Abstract

Purpose of this community service is to provides education on the benefit of aquatic plants for human health. In Simalungun, this service was provided with a socialization and questionnaire approach. Because aquatic plants include secondary metabolite chemicals that can treat diseases, the results of the counseling showed that the community did not understand the benefits of aquatic plants for human health. From the counseling, it was seen that the community has a very high level of passion and is increasingly aware of the benefits of aquatic plants for human health.

Abstract

Macrozoobenthos is a group of organisms that live in or on the surface of bottom sediments and have a length of more than 1 mm. One of the macrozoobenthos habitats is the mangrove ecosystem in the Gosong Telaga Selatan Ecotourism Mangrove, North Singkil District, Aceh Singkil Regency. Knowledge that macrozoobenthos can provide food availability for other organisms and as an indication of the suitability of potential water quality, especially pollution indicators, and plays an important role in the decomposition process of organic material in sediment in the mangrove ecosystem, so that the macrozoobenthos community can be used as an indicator of the balance of the mangrove ecosystem. This research aims to identify the diversity, uniformity, and dominance of Macrozoobenthos in the Gosong Telaga Selatan Mangrove Ecotourism Area, North Singkil District, Aceh Singkil Regency. This research uses a combination of two transect methods, namely line transects and quadratic transects. Determining the research location used the purposive sampling technique. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research results show that there are 7 Macrozoobenthos species, consisting of 3 classes, with a total of 182 individuals. Macrozoobenthic diversity in the ecosystem area in the Gosong Telaga Selatan Mangrove Ecotourism, North Singkil District, Aceh Singkil Regency is classified as moderate with a diversity index of Ĥ= 1.35-1.75, the uniformity index is classified as stable, ranging between E= 0.76-0.93, and the dominance index is classified as low.

Abstract

Macrozoobenthos are organisms that live by crawling, sticking, burrowing, and burrowing both at the bottom of the water and on the surface of the water bottom. Macrozoobenthos that live in mangrove areas mostly live on hard sediments to mud. The existence of macrozoobenthos can be influenced by various environmental factors such as the physical, chemical, and biological properties of water. This research aims to determine diversity, uniformity, and the macrozoobenthos dominance of the mangrove ecosystem in Bagan Asahan Village. The method used in this research is to combine two methods, namely the square method and the line transect method. The quadratic method is used to see the macrozoobenthos found in the quadratic method in a biological system, while the line transect method is used as a point to determine the description of the macrozoobenthos. The results of the research show that there are 8 species of macrozoobenthos consisting of 3 classes with a total of 179 individuals. The diversity of macrozoobenthos in the mangrove ecosystem area in Bagan Asahan Village is classified as moderate with a diversity index H'' ranging from 1.54-2.01, the uniformity index is classified as stable ranging between E= 0.76-0.99 and the dominance index is low, ranging between C= 0.14-0.31. Abstract

This research aims to determine the levels of heavy metals lead (Pb), iron (Fe), and zinc (Zn) in the Bah Bolon River water, Pematangsiantar City. This research was conducted in August-September 2023. Water samples were collected by selecting 3 research stations with 3 repetitions. Then the heavy metal content of the samples was analyzed using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (SSA) method. The results of this study show that the levels of the heavy metal iron (Fe) are higher than the heavy metals (Pb) and (Zn). The test results for iron (Fe) at all stations ranged from 0.08-0.51 mg/L, lead (Pb ) of 0.003 mg/L, zinc (Zn) ranges from 0.001 mg/L, temperature ranges from 25.06-26.9 oC, pH ranges from 7.18-7.61, DO ranges from 6.33-7.2 mg/L The quality of Bah Bolon river waters based on PPRI No.22 of 2021 for the parameters of lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), iron (stations 2 and 3), pH, DO, and temperature still meets class 2 quality standards and is suitable for use. used as a source of irrigation or agricultural water and the iron (Fe) content at station 1 has exceeded the quality standard limit and is no longer suitable for use. Keywords: Iron, heavy metals, lead, and zinc Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar logam berat timbal (Pb), besi (Fe), dan zink (Zn) di dalam air sungai Bah Bolon Kota Pematangsiantar. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-September 2023. Pengambilan sampel air dilakukan dengan memilih 3 stasiun penelitian dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Kemudian kandungan logam berat sampel dianalisis menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kadar logam berat besi (Fe) lebih tinggi dibandingkan logam berat (Pb) dan ((Zn). Hasil uji  besi (Fe) pada semua stasiun berkisar 0,08-0,51 mg/L, timbal (Pb) sebesar 0,003 mg/L, zink (Zn) berkisar 0,001 mg/L, suhu berkisar 25,06-26,9 oC, pH berkisar 7,18-7,61, DO berkisar 6,33-7,2 mg/L. Kualitas perairan sungai Bah Bolon berdasarkan PPRI No.22 Tahun 2021 untuk parameter timbal (Pb), zink (Zn), besi (stasiun 2 dan 3), pH, DO, dan suhu,  masih memenuhi standar baku mutu kelas 2 dan layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber air irigasi atau pertanian dan untuk kandungan besi (Fe) di Stasiun 1 telah melebihi batas baku mutu dan tidak layak untuk digunakan lagi. Abstract

Aquatic plants are part of the vegetation of these inhabitants in the earth, whose growth medium is water. The existence of aquatic plants that live well will increase aquatic productivity, and the role of aquatic plants is very important as a primary producer, as a habitat for biota such as fish, fish shelters, places to attach various animals and plants or algae. Transect method used is line transect with Quadrant 1 x 1 m. Data analysis includes diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index. Physical-chemical parameters include temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and light intensity. The results found 3 species of aquatic plants Macrophytes vallisneria gigantea, Potamogeton crispus, and Myriophyllum spicatum. Diversity of aquatic plants macrophytes in coastal waters Aek Batu Tambun Raya District Pematang Sidamanik Simalungun classified as low with diversity index H' = 0.420-0.812 overall uniformity value of E = 0.5125 which falls into the category of labile, and the overall dominance of 0.7088 which is included in the medium category. Keywords:  aquatic plants macrophytes, diversity, uniformity, dominance. Abstrak Tumbuhan air merupakan bagian dari vegetasi penghuni bumi ini, yang media tumbuhnya adalah perairan. Keberadaan tumbuhan  air yang hidup dengan baik akan meningkatkan produktivitas perairan, dan peranan tumbuhan  air yang sangat penting adalah sebagai produsen primer, sebagai habitat biota seperti ikan, tempat perlindungan ikan, tempat menempel berbagai hewan dan tumbuhan  atau alga. Metode transek yang dipakai yaitu transek garis (line transect) dengan kuadran 1 x 1 m. Analisis data meliputi indeks keanekaragaman, indeks keseragaman dan indeks dominansi. Parameter fisik kimia meliputi suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut dan intensitas cahaya. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 3 spesies Tumbuhan Air Makrofita yaitu Vallisneria gigantea, Potamogeton crispus, dan Myriophyllum spicatum. Keanekaragaman tumbuhan air makrofita di perairan pantai aek batu tambun raya Kecamatan Pematang Sidamanik Kabupaten Simalungun tergolong rendah dengan indeks keanekaragaman H'= 0,420 – 0,812. Nilai keseragaman keseluruhan, yaitu E = 0,5125 yang masuk kedalam kategori labil dan dominansi keseluruhan, yaitu 0,7088 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Kata kunci : Tumbuhan Air Makrofita, Keanekaragaman, Keseragaman, Dominansi.
