Abstract

Research on the distribution of TSS and containing water chlorophyll-a using GEE Cloud Technology in Jakarta Bay Waters was conducted from April to August 2021. Analysis was carried out using the MODIS AQUA-L3SMI satellite and Sentinel 2 TOA reflectance data. The TSS results show that it is distributed evenly (homogenously), varies, and fluctuates from the coast of Jakarta to the Waters of Jakarta Bay, namely 0-120 mg/l, while the containing water chlorophyll-a is distributed unevenly or varies, namely from April 2021 with value 0-3 mg/m3, chlorophyll-a in May 2021 almost evenly distributed with a value of 0-2 mg/m3, chlorophyll-a in June 2021 spread unevenly and fluctuating with an amount of 1-3  mg/m3, for chlorophyll-a in July 2021 was absent due to the influence of many and thick clouds. Chlorophyll-a in August 2021 spread almost evenly and varied throughout the waters amounting to 0,28 mg/m3. TSS spreads evenly (homogeneously), varies, and fluctuates around the edge of Jakarta's coastal waters down to the waters of Jakarta Bay and is not suitable for demersal fish species except zooxanthellae coral reef species. Meanwhile, the containing water chlorophyll-a is spread evenly, varies, and fluctuates. The large amount of chlorophyll-a in all waters and the high TSS will cause total death of living creatures in the waters. Image data can be used to map TSS distribution patterns and contain water chlorophyll-a in the waters of Jakarta Bay. Keywords: TSS; Containing Water Chlorophyll-a; MODIS AQUA-L3SMI Satellite; Sentinel 2 TOA reflectance data Satellite; Jakarta Bay Waters. Abstract

This study aims to investigate essential concepts in quantum mechanics and theoretical physics, with an emphasis on the 1+1 dimension. We examine the Dirac equation for relativistic spin-1/2 particles, the Time-Dependent Schrödinger Equation in 1+1 spacetime with flat conformal metric, and connect them to the Dirac equation. Additionally, we explore the Alcubierre Metric related to warp drive, particle modeling in a harmonic potential using the Schrödinger Equation, and the Gödel Metric Solution to depict the peculiarities of spacetime. The research aims to deepen the understanding of these concepts, identify theoretical implications, and their potential applications. This research aims to enhance the understanding of fundamental physics, assist in the development of future technologies, and provide deeper insights into the universe. Its benefits lie in contributing to theoretical understanding in physics, which can spark the development of new theories. This study is limited to physics concepts in the 1+1 dimensions, without empirical experiments or practical applications. The primary focus is on the theoretical analysis of these concepts. The results of this research have potential theoretical implications in understanding basic physics and spacetime phenomena. The simplification and connections between these concepts can aid in the development of new theories in theoretical physics. The uniqueness of this research lies in its integrative approach to quantum mechanics and theoretical physics concepts in the 1+1 dimension, which may not have been extensively explored previously. Through this research, we have investigated several key concepts in quantum mechanics and theoretical physics in the 1+1 dimension. These findings can make a significant contribution to our understanding of the universe and the potential development of new theories in physics.

Abstract

Infections caused by Salmonella typhi remain a serious global health problem, particularly due to the increasing bacterial resistance to conventional antibiotics. Therefore, the search for effective natural antibacterial sources is urgently needed. Rhizophora apiculata, a mangrove plant known to contain various bioactive compounds, has the potential to be an alternative antibacterial source. This study aims to identify the phytochemical content in R. apiculata fruit extract and evaluate its antibacterial activity against S. typhi using the disc diffusion method and bacterial cell morphology analysis via SEM. The phytochemical screening results revealed that the extract contains phenolics, tannins, alkaloids, and flavonoids. However, saponins and steroids were not detected. The antibacterial activity test showed that the extract at a concentration of 250 mg/mL significantly (p < 0.05) inhibited the growth of S. typhi, with the largest inhibition zone (11.6 mm). SEM observations supported this finding by showing a decrease in the number of bacterial cells at extract concentrations of 125 mg/mL and 250 mg/mL, where the highest concentration caused the most bacterial cell death. This study demonstrates the potential of R. apiculata fruit extract as an effective natural antibacterial source for the development of alternative treatments for S. typhi infections

Abstract

The household industrial liquid waste does not meet the quality standards of the Minister of Environment Regulation Number 5 0f 2014, so it needs to be processed so that it does not pollute the environment. This study aims to examine the effect of the dose of Poly Alum Chloride (PAC) coagulant on the reduction of Pb, Cr, and TDS, examine the quality of wastewater after being neutralized, coagulated, and adsorbed, especially for parameters Pb, Cr, TDS, and pH. The variables in this study were PAC doses, namely 150 mg/l, 200 mg/l, and 250 mg/l. the research was conducted on a laboratory scale with a continuous system with a downflow. The adsorption media used were palm fiber, coconut fiber, bagasse-activated carbon, and zeolite which were arranged in stages in a PVC pipe reactor. The entry of Pb, Cr, and TDS into the human body can be through foods from plants that are commonly consumed by humans such as rice, tea, and vegetables. Pb metal enters the waters through the crystallization of Pb, Cr, and TDS in the air with the help of rain. In addition, the certification process of mineral rocks is also one of the entry routes for Pb, Cr, and TDS sources into the waters. Researchers are interested in researching the processing of household industrial wastewater so that it can be used by the surrounding residents.

Abstract

The great Aceh earthquake on December 26, 2004, had a magnitude of 9.2 Mw for 10 minutes with coordinates 3,316°N 95,854°E. had a tremendous impact on changes in geological conditions and disasters in Aceh and Asia, especially Southeast Asia and South Asia. Changes in geological conditions have resulted in Aceh and its surroundings becoming more prone to earthquakes, including volcanoes in North Sumatra. This research aims to determine the value of changes in coulomb stress that occur on Mount Sibualbuali and Lubukraya. This research uses the coulomb stress method presented in Coulomb 3.4 software. This research produces positive coulomb stress changes in 2021 which are marked by the red lobe, namely 0.197 bar on Mount Sibualbuali and 0.187 bar on Lubukraya. The highest increase in chwerees in coulomb stress was in 2015, namely 0.319 bar in Sibualbuali and 0.262 bar in Lubukraya. This research also resulted in the highest coulomb stress changes at a depth of 90-100 km so that it does not affect the volcanic activity of the two mountains.

Abstract

Oceanographic factors can be an indicator in determining the potential of fishing grounds. The sampling technique of sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a data in this study was carried out spatially and temporal using satellite image data which can be downloaded from Aqua MODIS. This study aimed to determine variations in SST distribution and chlorophyll-a concentration in Indian Ocean waters using Aqua MODIS imagery from June 2023 to May 2024; analyzing the relationship between the distribution of SST and chlorophyll-a with the number of pelagic fish catches in the Indian Ocean waters. The type of fish used as research material is skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis). The distribution of SST in the Indian Ocean waters for June 2023-May 2024 is between 29,15-31,64 °C, where there is a significant decrease in temperature from 31,10-29,15 °C due to the east monsoon wind and the chlorophyll-a distribution is around between 0,24-0,73 mg/m³ with the highest average distribution in the western season. This phenomenon causes chlorophyll-a to increase in the western season because the frequency of rainfall in this season is sufficient, causing nutrients to increase due to vertical stirring, which can increase chlorophyll-a at the sea surface. There is no relationship between SST and chlorophyll in the number of skipjack tuna catches in transition II with a strong correlation value and a significance value (F) of 1,o, meaning that SST and chlorophyll-a on skipjack tuna to the skipjack tuna catches not influence for each season, the influence of significant event is thought to be a lag in the food chain and high rainfall. This study reveals that while variations in sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentration are significant understanding oceanographic conditions, they do not directly influence skipjack tuna catch rates, suggesting that other ecological factors, such as food chain dynamics and seasonal rainfall patterns, may play a more critical role.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of measuring the length and weight of the Jackfruit Seed Fish (Upeneus moluccensis). The number of fish samples used was 111 fish. With the overall length of the fish samples ranging from 105 mm to 165 mm, where the dominant total length of the fish caught was in the average range of 130.31 mm. Meanwhile, the weight of the Jackfruit Seed Fish (Upeneus moluccensis) ranged from 18 to 66 grams, with an average fish weight of 35.76 grams. The results of the calculation of the b value obtained for the Jackfruit Seed Fish (Upeneus moluccensis) at the Belawan Ocean Fishery Port were 2.86. Based on the b value obtained, it can be stated that the length of the fish weight is <3, (negative allometric) which means that the growth in length is faster than the growth in weight.
