Abstract

Tutoring services are a form of assistance provided to individuals to overcome problems in learning activities so that after going through the change process in learning they can achieve optimal learning outcomes. Tutoring for students is more focused on improving learning achievement and aspects of child development. The learning achievement and development of this child are programmed by the Play Group and the Early Childhood Education unit. The program is implemented to support the guidance of early detection learning services for growth and development, the formation of Islamic habit, art classes, and reading aloud. The research objective was to see the tutoring process in child development in the Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto Study Group. Therefore, the implementation of tutoring that has positive learning attitudes and habits, such as reading books, learning the discipline of many things, having attention to all lessons, and actively participating in all learning activities programmed in KB Wadas Kelir, South Purwokerto. The research used a qualitative descriptive research method. The research subjects included the principal, class teachers (stars, moon, sun), parents, and children of KB Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto. The object of research is the role of tutoring services in child development at KB Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto. The data method used is observation, interview, documentation. The technical analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results describe learning services in the aspects of child development carried out in the Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto Learning Group, Banyumas Regency.

Abstract

This study examines parental comprehension regarding safe internet access using a qualitative descriptive approach. Participants included parents of early childhood students from various state kindergartens in Purwokerto: West Purwokerto, South Purwokerto, East Purwokerto, and North Purwokerto. Data collection encompassed stages of data collection, reduction, categorization, presentation, and verification. Findings revealed that parents' understanding of safe internet access primarily focused on digital utilization. This level of understanding was achieved through diverse avenues, including educational counseling and parenting activities conducted within schools. Parents demonstrated their preference for educational websites and applications as learning resources, and facilitated online learning by providing internet-enabled devices. Furthermore, parents reinforced internet access governance by establishing rules and agreements governing gadget and internet use. This governance was further supported through ongoing monitoring while children engaged with devices, both during and outside of learning contexts.

Abstract

The active involvement of fathers in child-rearing has a positive impact on a child’s developmental process, including their future mental health. The aim of this study was to examine the influence of a Father Training Program on the social skills of preschool children. The study was conducted in two preschools in Purwokerto using a pretest-posttest control group experimental design. Both the experimental and control groups consisted of 40 preschool children, with their fathers from different preschools. The Father Training Program was implemented over a period of twelve weeks solely for the fathers in the experimental group, while the control group did not receive any training. Data on children’s social skills were gathered by preschool teachers before and after the implementation of the Father Training Program using the Social Skills Assessment Scale (SSAS). The data were analyzed using one-factor covariance analysis (ANCOVA) and t-tests. The results indicated a statistically significant difference between the control and experimental groups in terms of the children’s social skills (p < 0.01); however, the difference between the post-test and retention test mean scores within the experimental group was not significant, suggesting that the effects of the Father Training Program were sustained over time. This finding confirms that training programs, including those focusing on fatherhood, exert a positive influence on children’s social competencies

Abstract

Orang tua berperan penting dalam mendukung perkembangan anak, antara lain mencakup aspek kognitif, bahasa, moral, dan sosial emosional anak.  Dalam realita kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia, yang berperan besar untuk mengasuh anak adalah seorang ibu, idealitasnya ayah juga berperan dalam hal mengasuh anak. Budaya patriarki yang masih banyak diterapkan di masyarakat Indonesia menjadikan ayah berpotensi tidak terlibat dalam pengasuhan yang menyebabkan terjadinya kasus fatherless dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memperoleh hasil pengamatan mengenai kasus fatherlesss. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan model penelitian berbasis studi kasus untuk mengetahui kasus fatherless yang terjadi di suatu wilayah dan menganalisis dampak dari kasus tersebut. Metode penelitian berbasis studi kasus digunakan untuk menganalisis kasus fatherless parenting yang ada di kelurahan Purwanegara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan gambaran kasus fatherless yang ada di kelurahan Purwanegara dipengaruhi oleh sosiodemografi yang menimbulkan dampak pada anak maupun orang tua. Keterbatasan penelitian adalah masih terbatasnya ruang untuk peneliti memperoleh data dikarenakan masih banyak orang tua yang memiliki pola asuh yang bervariatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kebutuhan mahasiswa dan program studi Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini di UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto terkait pendidikan kepramukaan Prasiaga. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode analisis kebutuhan (training needs assessment). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa belum mengetahui tentang kegiatan Prasiaga dalam pendidikan anak usia dini. Namun, mereka menganggap materi kepramukaan penting untuk dimasukkan ke dalam kurikulum program studi Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini. Beberapa rekomendasi diajukan, yaitu: pertama, memasukkan mata kuliah kepramukaan ke dalam kurikulum untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis tentang kepramukaan; kedua, mengadakan pelatihan kursus pembina pramuka untuk membekali mahasiswa dengan kemampuan menjadi pembina pramuka yang kompeten; ketiga, mengadakan kursus orientasi kepramukaan untuk memperdalam pemahaman tentang prinsip-prinsip dan nilai-nilai kepramukaan. Dengan langkah-langkah ini, diharapkan mahasiswa lebih siap mengintegrasikan kegiatan kepramukaan Prasiaga ke dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini, memperkaya pengalaman belajar, serta memperkuat pendidikan karakter dan kemandirian anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peranan orang tua dalam mengembangkan bakat anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu orang tua yang memiliki anak usia dini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peranan orang tua dalam mengembangkan bakat anak usia dini dengan menerima anak sebagai pribadi yang unik yang mempunyai ciri khas yang berbeda dari anak-anak lain dan tidak menuntut anak, menumbuhkan sikap disiplin pada anak, menumbuhkan minat dan rasa ingin tahu anak, memfasilitasi atau memberikan anak media untuk pengembangan bakatnya serta selalu memotivasi dan mendukung kegiatan anak. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi orang tua yaitu anak lebih memilih bermain dibandingkan belajar. Oleh karena itu, orang tua berupaya memberikan nasihat dan pengertian kepada anak serta membatasi anak dalam penggunaan media.
