Abstract

Partisipasi perempuan dalam pendidikan semakin mendapatkan momentumnya melalui indikator GDI (Gender Development Index) yaitu kesetaraan antara laki-laki dan perempuan dalam usia harapan hidup, pendidikan dan jumlah pendapatan. Kenyataannya angka partisipasi perempuan dalam pendidikan masih rendah. Sejumlah faktor baik agama, budaya, sosial, politik dan budaya ditengarai menjadi penyebab. Pandangan perempuan yang penting melek huruf perlu diubah dengan meningkatkan kesetaraan akses pendidikan bagi perempuan. Peningkatan persentase pendidikan perempuan di Indonesia pada gilirannya akan dapat meningkatkan pencapaian MDG’s yaitu menurunkan angka kematian ibu, menurunkan angka kematian anak, dan memberantas kemiskinan.The participation of women in education is increasingly gaining its momentum through indicators GDI (Gender Development Index) which is concerning about equality between men and women in life expectancy , education and income amount . In fact the numbers of female participation in education is still low. A number of factors such as religious, cultural, social,and political factors suspected to be the main cause. The views about women’s literacy are important to be changed to improve access to education for women’s equality. The increase in the percentage of female education in Indonesia in turn will be able to improve the achievement of the MDG’s is to reduce maternal mortality, reduce child mortality, and combating poverty.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pembelajaran bahasa Arab secara intensif pada mahārat al-kalām mahasiswa di Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kendari. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi dalam model pembelajaran bahasa Arab intensif di FTIK IAIN Kendari menentukan efektifitas proses belajar mengajar bahasa Arab dengan strategi pembelajaran yang intensif, yang mana diantaranya adalah; membentuk Team Teaching Bahasa Arab dengan mensinergikan antara dosen dengan kosentrasi keilmuan Bahasa Arab, dan asisten dosen yang berasal dari mahasiswa berprestasi, penyusunan Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) yang mengacu kepada KKNI, penyusunan bahan ajar, implementasi metode pembelajaran insentif dengan memadukan metode Student Centered Learning (SCL), metode tutor sebaya dan metode drill and practice dengan beberapa latihan soal dan tugas terstruktur, dan penggunaan media pembelajaran ineraktif.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the response of STAI Masjid Syuhada students to the use of Google Translate in learning maharah kitabah. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This approach aims to understand phenomena based on the experiences, perceptions, and views of the research subjects. The subject of this research is STAI students of the Syuhada Masjid. This sampling technique is purposive sampling. The selection of subjects is based on specific criteria relevant to the research objectives: students actively participating in imla' and insya' courses and using Google Translate for learning maharah kitabah. The data collection technique used in this study is a closed questionnaire. The results of the study show that most students often use Google Translate, especially in learning maharah kitabah. The reasons why students use Google Translate are quite varied, including to complete assignments, understand vocabulary, improve grammar, and improve the quality of writing. However, with Google Translate, the majority of students feel helped in learning maharah kitabah. This study suggests using Google Translate as a learning tool, but it still requires double-checking to ensure optimal use.

Abstract

During the past decades, Qiroatul Kutub has been adopted as the learning model, therefore, this study is aimed to explore the development of the Qiroatul Kutub model using the Plickers application and the feasibility of it. Driven by Borg and Galls model of research and development (RnD), the researchers collected the data through documentation of 35 University students including expert assessments of learning method, materials and media. The expert validity test is based on 3 aspects of the module, learning model, and learning media using five scale analysis techniques, namely very good to very poor. From the expert validity test, an average score of 3.7 (A) was obtained, which was very good in terms of modules, learning models, and learning media, while the limited test to 32 student respondents obtained 3.8 (A) or very well from 3 aspects. Then after the revision, field testing was carried out and got an average score of 4 (A) or very good with an increase in student achievement from the pre-test and post-test results of 19.15%, indicating that the development of this learning model is very feasible to use. Drawing on the findings, this study provided an insightful finding on the adoption of Plickers application in Arabic reading skills. Thus, the teacher could incorporate this application to gain better students reading skills.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of multilingual students in Brunei Darussalam in learning Arabic, with a focus on the influence of the Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB) culture and identity on the language learning process. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through observations and interviews. The data analysis followed four stages: data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the MIB concept plays a significant role in education, with Malay serving as the primary language of instruction and Arabic introduced as part of the Islamic heritage. Students’ experiences suggest that their linguistic backgrounds greatly influence their proficiency and comfort in learning Arabic. Despite the challenges encountered, support from family, lecturers, and close relatives serves as a motivating factor in their efforts to learn and use the Arabic language. These findings underscore the importance of understanding the interplay between multilingualism and culture in the context of language education in Brunei Darussalam, and they highlight the vital role of the MIB philosophy in integrating both Malay and Arabic within the national education system.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Arabic language education through a multicultural approach in Indonesia and Malaysia. It aims to compare teaching strategies, curriculum content, and the socio-cultural context that influence Arabic learning in both countries. As Arabic is not only a religious language but also a cultural bridge, its teaching can foster tolerance and respect for diversity. Using a qualitative-comparative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis from Islamic educational institutions in both countries. The findings show that both nations share the goal of promoting inclusive values through Arabic education, though their approaches differ. Indonesia is moving toward contextual and participatory teaching, while Malaysia uses a structured system combining separation and integration models. Challenges include limited teacher training, varied student backgrounds, and lack of culturally responsive materials. Despite this, Arabic education has proven effective in shaping students’ awareness of multicultural values when designed inclusively. This research provides insights for educators and policymakers to enhance Arabic curricula as a medium for building intercultural understanding and social harmony.
