Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research that is aimed (a) to describe the students’ strategy of STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong in responding the compliment, and (b) to explain the use of politeness for students of STKIP Hamzanwadi in responding the compliment.The location of this research is conducted at STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong by its research sample are 55 students that is registered actively. Data collection is conducted by using questioner (Discourse Completing Text/ Tes Melengkapi Wacana). The analysis is conducted by using pragmatic match method and extralingual match.The research finding shows that the students use nine strategies to respond compliment. They are (1) token appreciation, (2) comment acceptance, (3) praise upgrade, (4) reassignment, and (5) return, to accept the compliment; and (6) scale down, (7) question, (8) disagreement, and (9) qualification to reject the compliment. In related to the applied of politeness, the students use four maxims Leech, these are tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim.Keywords: politeness, compliment responses, and pragmatic

Abstract

Partai Nasional Demokrat (NasDem) resmi mendeklarasikan Anies Baswedan sebagai bakal calon presiden yang akan diusung pada Pemilihan Presiden 2024. Anies Baswedan sebagai figur kuat untuk diusung sebagai calon presiden dalam pemilu mendatang. Sosok yang memiliki keyakinan dan pemikiran sejalan dengan partainya yang mengutamakan kepentingan Nasional. Partai NasDem tidak dapat sendirian dalam mengusung Anies Baswedan. Pasalnya, Partai NasDem hanya meraih 9,05 persen suara pada Pemilu 2019. Sementara syarat ambang batas pencalonan presiden yaitu memiliki 25 persen suara sah nasional atau 20 persen kursi di DPR. Partai NasDem harus mencari rekan koalisi partai politik lain untuk mengusung Anies Baswedan. Partai NasDem menjadi partai politik pertama yang mengumumkan jagoannya. Sebelumnya, Partai NasDem mempunyai dua calon lain yaitu Ganjar Pranowo dan Panglima TNI Jenderal Andika Perkasa. Pasca deklarasi Anies Baswedan dikuatkan dengan terbentuknya Koalisi Perubahan untuk Persatuan dalam memuluskan pencalonan Anies Baswedan menjadi calon presiden serta mencari bakal calon wakil presiden. Pengusulan nama tokoh, keluarnya kader NasDem, curi start kampanye, terbentuknya Koalisi Perubahan untuk Persatuan merupakan bagian dari dinamika selama pencalonan Anies Baswedan. Kedekatan, kesamaan visi dan misi Anies Baswedan, elektabilitas dan hasil survei, keberlanjutan pembangunan di Indonesia, serta prestasi yang membanggakan dari Anies Baswedan ialah faktor-faktor Partai NasDem dalam memilih Anies Baswedan. Penelitian ini dibuat dengan jenis deskriptif kualitatif. Metode bertujuan untuk menggambarkan secara detail fenomena terkait. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui metode, observasi, dokumen, dan kemudian menganalisis data tersebut secara interpretatif untuk memahami fenomena yang diteliti.

Abstract

This study aims to see the impact of the increase in subsidized fuel on public transportation in the city of Medan. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Primary Data Collection Techniques through interviews with City Transportation Drivers in Medan City. The secondary data is obtained from journals, reports, and online media. The results of the study show that the increase in fuel prices does not only have an impact on city transportation drivers in Medan City, but also on the passengers. In addition, the government needs to pay attention to the increase in the price of public transportation fares in the city of Medan. Because City Transportation has become the most popular transportation because the price is affordable. If there is an increase that is too high, it will be very burdensome for the community.

Abstract

Social Order Policy is designed by Batam City Government in Batam City Local Regulation No. 6 Year 2002. Through the implementation of this policy, which regulates that Batam City is a city that prohibits begging or vagrancy, which can disturb social order in green lanes and public places such as roads, restaurants, tourist attractions, and others. This research aims to find out and describe the Implementation of Social Order Policy (Free Area for Beggars and Vagrants) in Batam City. The type of research used by researchers is descriptive using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research were conducted by interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data obtained was analysed using indicators of Policy Implementation theory according to Edward III which includes disposition, bureaucratic structure, resources, and communication. And analysed using political perspectives and human rights. This research found that the Implementation of Social Order Policy (Free Area for Homeless and Beggars) in Batam City has been running, but the implementation has not been done optimally. Various efforts have been made by the Social and Empowerment Agency of Batam City in handling the problem of beggars and vagrants, namely by conducting outreach efforts, then providing guidance and training for beggars and vagrants. Then also to support the process of implementing this policy, an outreach team / Quick Reaction Team (TRC) was formed, then a rehabilitation building was built UPTD P2PMKS Nilam Suri. However, there are also inhibiting factors, namely the commitment and consistency of the outreach officers are still considered lacking, then the training and guidance conducted at UPTD Nilam Suri has not been able to fully benefit the beggars and vagrants. In addition, the government, which is fully responsible for the rights of beggars and homeless people, is not fully able to fulfil and overcome the existing problems.

Abstract

Considering the importance of these events, in order to create an orderly and orderly society and to ensure legal certainty, a regulation is needed that regulates them. The regulations in question are regulations in the field of civil registration implemented by the civil registration institution, namely the Civil Registry Office. In this research, the author used normative research. This legal research is often referred to as doctrinal legal research which conceptualizes writing in statutory regulations or laws which are used as a benchmark for people's lives. The problem approach used is a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the research show that the Civil Registry (Burgerlijke Stand) is an institution established by the authorities which aims to prove as completely as possible and therefore provide maximum certainty about all events that are important for a person's civil status regarding birth, confession, marriage, divorce and death. . Differences in civil registration resulting from different citizenship principles in mixed marriages can affect the rights and obligations of citizens. These differences reflect the complexity in the legal and administrative systems of different countries, and emphasize the importance of having accurate and complete civil registration to ensure fair and equal rights and obligations of citizens.

Abstract

Saat ini penggunaan teknologi tidak luput dari semua aspek kehidupan, tidak memandang usia penggunaan teknologi di berbagai bidang menjadi hal yang utama pada masa sekarang ini seperti bidang pendidikan, perekonomian umkm, dan lain sebagainya. Namun tidak sedikit masyarakat yang masih awam dalam penggunaan teknologi digital dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, untuk itu perlu adanya peningkatan penggunaan teknologi guna mencapai tingkat penggunaan teknologi yang maksimal. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan peluang kepada masyarakat untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan teknologi melalui pelatihan digital yang dapat membantu masyarakat untuk bisa lebih cakap dalam menggunakan teknologi digital. Pelatihan-pelatihan yang akan dilaksanakan seperti pelatihan kepenulisan, desain grafis, blog, penggunaan aplikasi untuk meningkatkan softskill digital, serta public speaking yang dapat meningkatkan softskill yang dibutuhkan di era transformasi digital saat ini.Keyword : Teknologi, Pelatihan Digital, Masyarakat.

Abstract

Along with the rapid development of the music industry, bands in Jakarta often need help understanding the importance of copyright registration. This means that many of their works are not legally protected, so they risk being misused by other parties. Therefore, we, the community development team at the law faculty of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta, are trying to increase awareness regarding copyright for creators, especially in the music industry. In this way, we hope that as a community service team, creators can feel safe and that their work can be legally protected and provide sustainable economic benefits. The observation method is used when looking for target partners, which in this activity is the Manerole band group operating in the music industry. After observing, the next stage is socialization activities involving participants consisting of the general public and target partners. In this socialization, the basics of copyright law, copyright terms, exclusive rights obtained by creators, and a simulation of copyright registration, etc. were explained. The result of this activity was that the partner, namely the band Manerole, registered their creation entitled "Puppy Love".

Abstract

Pada tahun 2024, Kementerian Agraria dan Tata Ruang meluncurkan inisiatif layanan elektronik yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan akuntabilitas dalam pengelolaan pertanahan di seluruh Indonesia. Inisiatif ini merupakan langkah strategis untuk memodernisasi sistem pertanahan yang selama ini bergantung pada proses manual. Sejak dimulai pada bulan April, layanan ini telah diresmikan secara bertahap di berbagai Kantor Pertanahan di seluruh Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Hingga September, sebanyak 445 kantor telah berhasil mengimplementasikan layanan elektronik ini. Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Sleman merupakan salah satu yang terlibat aktif dalam inisiatif ini, memulai penerapan layanan elektronik pada tanggal 31 Mei 2024. Peluncuran ini bertepatan dengan implementasi serupa di kantor-kantor lain di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Layanan elektronik ini menuntut proses validasi sertifikat bidang tanah yang mencakup data spasial dan data tekstual. Proses ini dilakukan melalui aplikasi SiTata, yang dirancang untuk menghasilkan data pra SU-EL (Pra Surat Ukur Elektronik) dan pra BT-EL (Pra Buku Tanah Elektronik). Data ini kemudian dimanfaatkan dalam ekosistem elektronik untuk memproses berbagai permohonan layanan. Namun, implementasi proses validasi spasial menggunakan aplikasi SiTata menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Makalah  ini bertujuan untuk merefleksikan pengalaman dalam mengimplementasikan validasi data spasial di Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Sleman. Kami mengidentifikasi berbagai kendala yang muncul, seperti masalah teknis pada aplikasi, keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, serta kebutuhan mendesak akan peta lengkap yang berkualitas. Makalah ini menawarkan solusi alternatif yang dapat diadopsi untuk mengatasi hambatan-hambatan tersebut, dengan harapan dapat mendukung keberhasilan penerapan layanan elektronik di masa depan.

Abstract

Strengthening youth as agents of change within the context of democracy and organization is an urgent need to create a more engaged and empowered society. This program aims to enhance political understanding, communication skills, and leadership character among the youth of Ranting IPK PB Selayang I. The methods used include interactive training and workshops encompassing three main components: the formation of political understanding through discussions and political simulations, the development of communication skills through practical exercises, and the building of leadership character through mentoring and leadership activities. Evaluation is conducted through interviews, surveys, and observations before and after the training. The results show that the integration of political understanding and communication skills within the community service program is effective in enhancing the political understanding and engagement of the youth. This community service program successfully creates youth who are more skilled, knowledgeable, and active in society. Strengthening political understanding, communication skills, and leadership character is an effective strategy to shape youth into smart and good citizens.

Abstract

Multiple object detection remains a significant challenge in the field of computer vision. One of the key factors affecting detection performance is the feature extraction process, especially when objects are relatively small or positioned closely together. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of two popular object detection models, YOLO (You Only Look Once) and Single Shot MultiBox Detector (SSD), in detecting multiple objects within images. These models were selected due to their reported high accuracy and real-time processing capabilities, outperforming traditional methods such as the Hough Transform, Deformable Part-based Models (DPM), and conventional CNN architectures. The models were evaluated using a subset of the PASCAL VOC dataset, which includes object categories such as aircraft, faces, cars, and others, with a total of 1,447 annotated images used in training and testing. The evaluation metric used was mean Average Precision (mAP) to assess detection accuracy. Experimental results indicate that YOLO achieves a mAP of 82.01%, while SSD achieves 70.47%. These findings demonstrate that YOLO provides better performance in detecting multiple objects under the same conditions. Overall, this study confirms the advantages of YOLO in scenarios requiring fast and accurate multi-object detection, highlighting its potential for deployment in real-time applications such as autonomous vehicles, surveillance systems, and robotics. The main contribution of this study lies in providing a comparative performance benchmark between YOLO and SSD on a standard multi-object dataset to guide practical model selection in real-time computer vision tasks.
