Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Number of Small Industries, Population and Investment Rates on Labor Absorption. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research type. To obtain secondary data taken from the Surabaya City Industry and Trade Service and BPS. The data analysis technique used is the Normality test and the coefficient of determination. The hypothesis test used is multiple linear regression in the form of a t-test. This study was conducted in Surabaya City with a sample of small industry research. The data analysis method in this study is multiple linear regression analysis processed with SPSS version 26. From the multiple linear regression model used in this study, the regression equation Y = 53001.657 + 1.327 + 0.429 + 2.269650 was obtained. The results of the study prove that the Number of Small Industries has no significant effect on Labor Absorption, the Number of Population has a significant effect on Labor Absorption, and the Investment Rate has no significant effect on Labor Absorption, the coefficient of determination (R2) in this study is 0.779 or 77.9%. This shows that 77.9% of labor absorption is influenced by the variables of the Number of Small Industries, Population and Investment Figures. While 22.1% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing rice production in Tulakan Village, Sine District, Ngawi Regency during the period of 2015–2024. The research focuses on three key production inputs: land area, labor, and fertilizer usage. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach using secondary data obtained from the Department of Food Security and Agriculture of Ngawi Regency. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression assisted by SPSS software. The results indicate that simultaneously, land area, labor, and fertilizer significantly affect rice production. Partially, land area has a positive and significant influence, while labor and fertilizer show a negative effect, with varying degrees of statistical significance. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.802 suggests that 80.2% of the variance in rice production can be explained by the independent variables in this model, while the remaining 19.8% is influenced by other external factors not included in this study. The study concludes that optimizing land area is a crucial factor in increasing rice yields. Meanwhile, labor efficiency and fertilizer application require further evaluation to ensure they contribute more positively to productivity. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for local pimprove agricultural performance.

Abstract

Regional income is an input in economic development. This sector includes local original income, balancing funds, and other legitimate income which is used as regional government capital in an effort to improve better regional economic development. This research aims to analyze the efficiency of the public sector, namely district/city regional income in East Java Province which consists of local original income (PAD), balancing funds, and other legitimate income as input variables in efforts to carry out economic development as seen from GRDP, HDI, and the number of people who are not poor as output variables for indicators of regional economic development. The results of this research are that there are five regions in East Java Province in 2017-2021 that are efficient, namely Bojonegoro Regency, Gresik Regency, Pasuruan Regency, Kediri City, and Surabaya City, while in 2020 there are six efficient regions, an increase of one other area, namely Regency Banyuwangi, which achieved a relative efficiency level of 100%, is apart from the five regions which were previously efficient in using input to produce output based on analysis using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method.
