Abstract

The research objective entitled "Schoology : an alternative of learning applications to improve students’ writing skills in the Covid 19” to is to determine the effect of Schoology online learning media on students' writing skills and to identify students' perceptions about the use of Schoology. The research method used a descriptive qualitative research. Technique in collecting the data were test, interview,questionnaire with research subject is 44 PGSD Students from Class of 2019. The content analysis method was used to analyze the data that was started from 1)data reduction, 2)data presentation, 3)drawing conclusion and verification. The results showed that 85.59% of students agreed that the use of Schoology improved their English language skills in general and 85.90% of students agreed it improved their writing skills. Perceptions of students using Schoology : 13.42% that Schoology is easy to use, 20.13% of students have an ordinary impression, 65.77% of students have the impression that is difficult to use. From their submitted task, there was improving of 40% of score and lessen writing error found.It is to be concluded that Schoology did improve writing skill because the language of instruction in Schoology was English with user friendly outlook hence force the students to study harder using and writing in English.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana penerapan media schoology dapat meningkatkan literasi dan kemampuan menulis siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris.  Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dan untuk memperoleh data, peneliti menggunakan beberapa instrumen berupa angket dan wawancara yang dilakukan terhadap 149 mahasiswa dari 4 prodi di IKIP SIliwangi sebagai subjek penelitian.Berdasarkan temuan dan questionnaire maka sebanyak 85,59% mahasiswa setuju bahwa penggunaan schoology meningkatkan literasi secara umum dan sebanyak 85,90% mahasiswa setuju meningkatkan kemampuan menulis dalam berbahasa Inggris. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media schoology meningkatkan literasi serta kemampuan menulis siswa dengan lebih baik, terutama dalam Bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

This study is aimed to discover whether storytelling can improve students’ speaking skill or not of ninth-grade students in Bandung. The research method used is the experimental method, while the research instrument used is one group pre-test and post-test. The sample of this research is the students of class 9, with a total of 25 students. Based on data analysis results using SPSS, the result of the pre-test is 56.88. Meanwhile, the result of the post-test is 77.76. Two hypotheses guided the researcher: the Null hypothesis (H0:) storytelling can not improve students’ speaking skills, and the alternative hypothesis: storytelling can improve students’ speaking skills. In summary, the Null hypothesis is rejected which conclude that storytelling can improve students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

Children interact with other children, their parents, and other adults as they acquire language. A child can readily acquire two or more languages at once as long as they are conversing with speakers of those languages on a regular basis.. The purpose of this study is to investigate the connection between the use of offline games and young students' self-esteem in speaking English. The researchers' interpretation of the children's written material served as the foundation for the majority of this study's conclusions. In terms of enhancing self-esteem, the data analysis showed numerous evident benefits for all students. The students were free to exercise their independence and display qualities about themselves. ESL students had the same opportunity to compete with their classmates for the limited time that they took part in these activities. This study used a qualitative approach and conducted a pilot test on pre-school students. This research was conducted at Learning Tots Kindergarten located on Sri pohaci Street, Bandung, Indonesia. The study was conducted on 19 students of Learning Tots Kindergarten. The students were given time to play for 30-60 minutes every day for 2 weeks. The games included matching, bingo, and charades. The study was distinctive in that the students produced written summaries of the game events. The basis of this study's data gathering is qualitative information obtained from observations and conducted interviews. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. Where data analysis is based on interviews with research subjects regarding the impression they feel after playing the game. Furthermore, the researcher also saw and analyzed the students' behavior through observation techniques

Abstract

This study analyzes Generation Z (Gen Z) preferences in enhancing English proficiency using machine learning with the Random Forest algorithm. The analysis aims to determine how accurately Random Forest can predict or classify models. The dataset contains three classes: “Applications,” “Entertainment_Media,” and “Tutoring.” Data collected was processed during the pre-processing stage. With this dataset, the model was trained and identified the most influential features on model performance: factors, media, learning duration, understanding, and motivation. The model achieved an accuracy of 62% with hyperparameter tuning. This research aims to contribute to the development of more personalized learning methods for Gen Z.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian berupa workshop ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru dan siswa SMK Al-Wafa Ciwidey dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital serta pendekatan pembelajaran pembelajaran mendalam yang berkesadaran, bermakna dan menggembirakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Workshop ini memberikan pelatihan pemanfaatan teknologi AI seperti ChatGPT, Canva Edu, dan Quizizz yang diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, khususnya untuk persiapan tes TOEIC sebagai bagian dari kesiapan siswa SMK dalam menghadapi dunia kerja. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan tatap muka, simulasi pembelajaran, dan pendampingan daring. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan dalam literasi teknologi guru dan siswa, kreativitas dalam penyusunan materi ajar, serta motivasi belajar Bahasa Inggris. Para guru berhasil menyusun RPP digital berbasis AI, sementara siswa aktif membuat proyek presentasi TOEIC. Kendala utama berupa keterbatasan perangkat dan waktu pelatihan yang singkat diatasi dengan pendampingan daring dan penyediaan materi digital. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam menyiapkan guru dan siswa menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran abad ke-21 dengan integrasi teknologi digital dan prinsip pembelajaran mendalam.
