Abstract

In 2018, diarrhea in Indonesia was classified as a potential endemic disease of Extraordinary Events which was often accompanied by death. Well water can be a medium for transmitting diarrhea in the community, this transmission can occur because well water is contaminated with E. coli. In addition, population density can be a factor in the occurrence diarrhea. This study aims to determine the spatial analysis of the distribution diarrhea cases with the overlay method, which was carried out by analyzing the distribution pattern using Average Nearest Neighbor and Spatial Autocorrelation Report. Of the 26 scattered cases, the results of spatial analysis related to the presence of E. coli showed that there was a relationship between the incidence of diarrhea cases and the presence of E. coli, whose distribution pattern was clustered. The level of risk the presence of E. coli in well water with other environmental risk factors (wastewater disposal facilities, latrines and garbage disposal) showed that the most points found were those with moderate risk. In addition, the results of spatial analysis distribution diarrhea cases with population density showed that there was no significant relationship between the distribution diarrhea cases and population density, the distribution pattern was random.

Abstract

Water is one that is very important for human life and other living things. Not everyone can get good water quality and sufficient quantity of water to get their daily clean water needs. Based on the problems that exist in Morangan Hamlet accompanied by data from the Ngemplak I Health Center, the quality of the community dug wells in the village does not meet the requirements. Students of the Diploma Three Sanitation Study Program, Environmental Health Polytechnic, Yogyakarta Ministry of Health conducted a Field Work Practice (PKL Komunitas) with several activities related to a survey, analysis, planning, solving socialization problems and practice of implementing clean water, which aims to find out how to trat water to reduce Fe levels in the soil. Community wells. The data obtained from these activities were analyzed descriptively to describe the decrease in Felevels before and after filtration. Based on the Field Work Practice, it was found that the Fe content after filtration was 0,2 mg/L. The results of the activity show that zeolite and activated charcal can be used as materials for iron filtration.

Abstract

Leptospirosis merupakan penyakit zoonosis akibat bakteri Leptospira yang ditularkan melalui urine tikus. Rendahnya kesadaran penggunaan APD dan sanitasi buruk di Dusun Pelemsewu, Bantul, meningkatkan risiko penularan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat melalui pelatihan APD. Metode pemberdayaan masyarakat dilakukan dalam lima tahap: kesadaran, ketertarikan, penilaian, percobaan, dan adopsi. Peserta berjumlah 42 ibu PKK. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, post-test, wawancara, diskusi, dan observasi. Analisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan signifikan dari rata-rata 8,69 menjadi 10,00 (p<0,05). Seluruh responden mencapai nilai sempurna pasca penyuluhan. Kader mampu mendemonstrasikan dan menyebarluaskan informasi penggunaan APD secara mandiri. Pelatihan APD terbukti efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesiapan masyarakat mencegah leptospirosis.

Abstract

Demam Berdarah Dengue merupakan penyakit yang ditularkan melalui nyamuk dan masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat. Penggunaan repellent secara manual sering menghasilkan volume semprotan yang tidak konsisten sehingga efektivitas perlindungan menjadi kurang optimal. Penelitian ini menawarkan penggunaan alat spray otomatis berbasis timer sebagai solusi untuk menghasilkan penyemprotan repellent alami yang lebih seragam dan terkontrol. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh jarak penyemprotan dan waktu penyemprotan terhadap volume deposisi repellent alami pada media kertas. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan eksperimen dengan variasi jarak penyemprotan 1 m, 1,5 m, dan 2 m serta waktu penyemprotan 1, 2, dan 3 detik. Volume deposisi diukur secara gravimetri berdasarkan selisih berat media sebelum dan sesudah penyemprotan, dengan sembilan kali ulangan pada setiap perlakuan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Shapiro–Wilk, Kruskal–Wallis, dan Mann–Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan deposisi tertinggi sebesar 0,1776 g diperoleh pada jarak 1,5 m dengan waktu penyemprotan 2 detik, sedangkan deposisi terendah sebesar 0,0004 g diperoleh pada jarak 2 m dengan waktu 1 detik. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antarperlakuan (p=0,002). Secara umum, volume deposisi meningkat seiring bertambahnya waktu penyemprotan dan menurun pada jarak penyemprotan yang lebih jauh.
