Abstract

Motorcycle and car derived from technology development, apart from their ad-vantages as transportation vehicles are contributing to emit pollution gases such as carbon monoxide (CO) to environment. Another source for CO emis-sion is repair shop. In order to decrease CO pollution from that place, this e-mission catchment tube with double filter was developed. The tool consists of activated carbon and glass wool as the adsorbent filter agents. The study used a 100 cc 4-strokes motorcycle as the source of CO emission and auto check 974/5 for measuring the CO concentration. Both descriptively and analytically, the results showed that the tube was able to decrease the pollutant concentra-tion (p value 0,016). Howeer, it is suggested that any follow-up studies should explore the other possible material of the adsorbent, as well as the effective saturation time and the effective amount or number of the the filter.

Abstract

In 2018, diarrhea in Indonesia was classified as a potential endemic disease of Extraordinary Events which was often accompanied by death. Well water can be a medium for transmitting diarrhea in the community, this transmission can occur because well water is contaminated with E. coli. In addition, population density can be a factor in the occurrence diarrhea. This study aims to determine the spatial analysis of the distribution diarrhea cases with the overlay method, which was carried out by analyzing the distribution pattern using Average Nearest Neighbor and Spatial Autocorrelation Report. Of the 26 scattered cases, the results of spatial analysis related to the presence of E. coli showed that there was a relationship between the incidence of diarrhea cases and the presence of E. coli, whose distribution pattern was clustered. The level of risk the presence of E. coli in well water with other environmental risk factors (wastewater disposal facilities, latrines and garbage disposal) showed that the most points found were those with moderate risk. In addition, the results of spatial analysis distribution diarrhea cases with population density showed that there was no significant relationship between the distribution diarrhea cases and population density, the distribution pattern was random.

Abstract

Health development aims to increase awareness, willingness and ability to live healthy for every human being in order to realize the degree of public health. Family Nutrition Improvement Efforts are one of the activities that can be carried out by families to improve nutrition for family members. Utilization of the yard does not only require a large area of land, the use of wall polybags is one solution if the house does not have a yard. Tompeyan Village is an ecotourism and has the title as a Vegetable Village which is located in the middle of the city of Yogyakarta. This Family Nutrition Improvement Business activity aims to change people's behavior and habits to consume balanced nutritious food. The methods used are community nutrition counseling, nutrition services at posyandu and use of yards to improve family nutrition. Based on the results of planting pakcoy, lettuce, and celery that these vegetables can be harvested within 4 weeks. The results of these vegetable plantings can be consumed or sold by residents of RW 03. The conclusion of the activities carried out is to help foster the enthusiasm of the residents of Kampung Tompeyan to re-green the surrounding environment in an effort to improve family nutrition and can maintain the title of Kampung Tompeyan as a Vegetable Village.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) merupakan keluhan pada jaringan lunak yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap sistem otot, saraf, sendi, tulang rawan, dan punggung bawah. MSDs disebabkan oleh postur tubuh yang tidak ergonomis saat bekerja. Salah satu pekerjaan yang mengalami MSDs adalah pekerja pembuat genteng, karena sikap kerja membungkuk, berdiri, dan duduk secara terus menerus. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengurangi keluhan MSDs pada pekerja pembuatan genteng di Dusun Klaci Margoluwih Seyegan Sleman dengan penerapan senam ergonomis dan relaksasi. Jenis penelitian menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Non equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah pekerja pembuat genteng sebanyak 44 orang, yang terdiri dari kelompok eksperimen (n=22) dan kelompok kontrol (n=22). Pada kelompok eksperimen diberikan intervensi berupa peregangan senam ergonomis dan relaksasi selama 5 hari berturut-turut. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol tidak dilakukan peregangan, hanya pengamatan sikap bekerja. Kuesioner yang digunakan adalah Nordic Body Map. Analisis data menggunakan Wilcoxon Rank Test dengan α = 0,05. Total keluhan Musculoskeletal disorders kelompok eksperimen, didapatkan nilai pre test 1.197 dengan rata-rata 54,40. Setelah dilakukan peregangan didapatkan nilai post test 1.037 dengan rata-rata 47,13. Artinya pada kelompok eksperimen terjadi penurunan sebesar 7,27 atau 13,36% dengan p value = 0,000. Sedangkan kelompok kontrol didapatkan nilai pre test 1.215 dengan rata-rata 55,22. Meskipun tidak diberi perlakuan terjadi penurunan oleh kelompok kontrol dengan nilai post test 1.188 dengan rata-rata 54,00. Artinya terjadi penurunan sebesar 1,22 dengan presentase 2,20%.  Penurunan ini terjadi karena beberapa pekerja memanfaatkan waktu istirahat dengan baik. Abstract

Background: Liquid waste that is not properly disposed of and managed can have a negative impact on the environment. The frequent negligence of employees in monitoring the full sediment pond causes the wastewater to flow to the ground surface area and can flow into the river. The existence of this Microcontroller Water level tool serves as a warning of overflow of liquid concrete batching plant waste.Objective: Find out the effect of using a water level microcontroller on warning the overflow of liquid concrete batching plant waste in the construction industry of Yogyakarta. Method: The type of research used in this study is a quasi-experiment with a Posttest Only Design or research design. The research was conducted in the industrial liquid concrete waste storage pond of Yogyakarta construction industri. Result : Mikrokontroller Water Level has a successful performance as a warning of overflow of liquid concrete batching plant waste with an average accuracy value of 100%. It can be stated that the water level microcontroller tool is effective as a warning notification of batching plant liquid waste overflow. The results show that there is an effect of using a microcontroller tool on warning the overflow of liquid concrete batching plant waste. Conslusion : Microkontroller water level device has successful performance as a warning of overflow of liquid concrete batching plant waste at Yogyakarta construction industri.

Abstract

Hasil pengukuran kepadatan lalat di Foodcourt PT. Kokapura Avia Bandara Internasional Yogyakarta sebanyak 8 ekor/flygrill tergolong dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan RI Nomor 2 Tahun 2023 Tentang Peraturan Pelaksanaan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 66 Tahun 2014 tentang Kesehatan Lingkungan, baku mutu indeks populasi lalat 2 ekor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi pada cairan elektrik diffuser terhadap penurunan kepadatan lalat dan konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi yang paling efektif menurunkan kepadatan lalat. Penelitian bersifat Quasi Experiment dengan desain penelitian Pre Test-Post Test with Control Group Design. Pengukuran kepadatan lalat dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah perlakukan pada 3 kelompok eksperimen (cairan elektrik diffuser dengan penambahan konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi 24%, 26%, dan 28%) dan 1 kelompok kontrol (cairan elektrik diffuser dengan tanpa penambahan konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi). Analisis data menggunakan uji One Way Anova dan Post Hoc Test (LSD). Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran kepadatan lalat didapatkan hasil penurunan kepadatan lalat konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi 24% sebesar 19,34%, konsentrasi 26% sebesar 42,91% dan konsentrasi 28% sebesar 71,71%. Hasil uji One Way Anova didapatkan nilai taraf signifikan 0,05 maka ada pengaruh konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi pada cairan elektrik diffuser terhadap penurunan kepadatan lalat. Hasil uji Post Hoc Test (LSD) konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi yang paling efektif menurunkan kepadatan lalat adalah 28%. Konsentrasi minyak atsiri serai wangi 28% paling efektif menurunkan kepadatan lalat dengan penurunan sebesar 71,71%.

Abstract

The cleanliness of the hands of food handlers is a major factor in preventing the spread of disease. The study aims to analyze the effect of using starfruit juice hand sanitizer on the bacteria in the hands of food handlers. The study used a Pretest Posttest with a Control Group Design, conducted in Yogyakarta from March to May 2024. The study involved 24 food handlers. The study used starfruit juice as the basic ingredient for hand sanitizer in three concentration variations (25%, 30%, and 35%). Sampling of hand bacteria was carried out before and after each treatment using the swab method, then incubated for 24 hours at 37°C. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, One Way ANOVA, and Tukey HSD with a confidence level of 95%. The study results found that starfruit juice hand sanitizer can reduce the number of hand germs (P = 0.001). A concentration of 25% was able to reduce 65.06% (2.29 x 104 to 8.22 x 104 CFU/cm2), a concentration of 30% reduced 69.79% (from 2.09 x 104 to 6.15 x 104 CFU/cm2), and a concentration of 35% reduced up to 85.53% (from 2.72 x 104 to 3.99 x 103 CFU/cm2). The study results also found that more than 85% of respondents liked the color, smell, viscosity, and texture of the hand sanitizer. In addition, the hand sanitizer did not change even though it was stored for up to 28 days (12-140C). Star fruit has the potential to be used as a basic ingredient for making hand sanitizers. In addition to being easy to obtain and cheap, hand sanitizers made from star fruit juice have been proven to be effective as antiseptic.

Abstract

Gagang pintu adalah bagian penting dari pintu yang digunakan dan ditemukan setiap harinya. Gagang pintu yang tidak dibersihkan dapat menjadi tempat penularan penyakit. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan kebersihan sanitasi salah satunya dengan memakai disinfektan spray minyak atsiri daun kemangi. Kandungan minyak atsiri daun kemangi dapat berperan untuk menghambat dan membunuh bakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh efektivitas penggunaan minyak atsiri daun kemangi dengan berbagai konsentrasi terhadap penurunan angka kuman gagang pintu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen sejenis dengan pendekatan Non Equivalent Control Group Design yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2024. Objek penelitian ini adalah minyak atsiri daun kemangi ( Ocimum basilicum L. ) dengan total sampel yang digunakan yaitu 24 gagang pintu. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data uji Shapiro-Wilk , Paired Samples T-test dan uji One way Anova . Hasil persentase penurunan angka kuman gagang pintu setelah menggunakan semprotan disinfektan minyak atsiri daun kemangi konsentrasi 50% sebesar 35,7%, konsentrasi 55% sebesar 41,5%, konsentrasi 60% sebesar 42,5%. Berdasarkan uji Shapiro-Wilk didapatkan nilai-p >0,05, uji Paired Sample T-test didapatkan nilai- p <0,05, dan uji One Way Anova didapatkan nilai-p >0,05. Secara deskriptif pengguna ada 3 variasi konsentrasi yang dapat menurunkan angka kuman pada gagang pintu. Minyak atsiri dengan konsentrasi 60% paling efektif untuk mengurangi jumlah kuman pada gagang pintu. Sedangkan secara statistik ketiga konsentrasi tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan.

Abstract

Global plastic production exceeds 320 million tons annually, with over 40% being single-use plastics. Indonesia generates approximately 7 million tons of waste annually, of which 4.9 million tons are poorly managed. Ineffective waste management necessitates specialized processing, such as composting using Biopot—biodegradable pots made from organic materials and waste—supporting sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly waste management. This study employs a quasi-experimental design with a control group. Biopot made of plastic and earthenware are utilized for composting at depths of 60, 80, and 100 cm. The samples consist of 170 liters of organic waste collected from 50 households in Sukunan. Data analysis employs MANOVA to assess the effects of pot type and depth on compost quality. The highest average reduction in organic waste volume was observed in biopori (50.25%), followed by plastic Biopot (39.40%) and earthenware (38.05%). The quality of the compost met SNI standards, exhibiting neutral pH and appropriate C/N ratios. The plastic Biopot at 60 cm depth demonstrated the greatest effectiveness in compost production. Biopot successfully reduces organic waste by 39.40% (plastic) and 38.05% (earthenware), yielding compost that meets SNI standards. The plastic Biopot at a depth of 60 cm is the optimal choice for household organic waste composting.

Abstract

Menurut Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Sampah Nasional pada tahun 2023 timbunan sampah sebanyak 23,7 ton per tahun dengan penanganan sampah yang dapat dilakukan sebesar 50,84% atau sebesar 2 ton per tahun. Kepedulian masyarakat tentang pentingnya mengelola sampah masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, edukasi pemilahan sampah sejak dini merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui media mana yang paling berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku pemilahan sampah pada siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan menggunakan rancangan Pre test and Post test Group. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2025. Populasi studi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dan V SD Negeri 4 Wates. Sampel dengan jumlah 90 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Friedman. Hasil penelitain menunjukkan adanya pengaruh ketiga media edukasi terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku. Pada pengetahuan dan perilaku dari ketiga media didapatkan nilai Asymp,Sig.,000 sehingga diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari ketiga kelompok. Pada sikap didapatkan nilai Asymp,Sig. ,128 sehingga diketahui bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari ketiga kelompok. Dari hasil analisis data diketahui media paling berpengaruh adalah permainan “Halte Bus Sampah” dengan nilai gain score mean rank tertinggi yaitu, 2,28 pada pengetahuan, 0,95 pada sikap, dan 2,3 pada perilaku. Media permainan beregu “Halte Bus Sampah” dan “Estafet Sampah” serta ceramah berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku pemilahan sampah siswa SD Negeri 4 Wates. Dan media yang paling berpengaruh adalah permainan beregu “Halte Bus Sampah”.
