Abstract

Excessive withdrawal of deep groundwater has an impact on changing the direction of groundwater flow so that the hydrostatic pressure decreases, resulting in seawater intrusion. This study aims to determine the areas indicated by seawater intrusion and determine the direction of distribution of saltwater contaminants. The method used is the Schlumberger configuration resistivity geoelectric method to obtain resistivity values with a path length of 200 meters. In the research results obtained in the field, processing using Ms. Excel and interpreted using IP2WIN.. The results of the processing using IP2WIN are then processed using Surfer to draw the correlation between Track I and Track III in 2D form. Line I which indicated seawater intrusion, namely the seventh layer with a resistivity value of 0.198 m, was designated as seawater intrusion. Track II shows seawater intrusion, namely in the sixth layer seawater intrusion is found with a resistivity value of 0.0584 m. Track III shows the presence of seawater intrusion, namely in the eighth layer seawater is found with a resistivity value of 0.0035 m. Based on the research conducted, the distribution of seawater intrusion from Track I on Jalan Raya Belawan, Belawan Harbor, Bagan Deli Village, Medan Belawan District, which is close to the beach. Seawater intrusion flows to the southwest which is the location of Track II and Track III through the groundwater layer affected by the intrusion.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of KCl-modified Sarulla natural zeolite in removing ammonium ions from aqueous solutions. The zeolite was modified by soaking in 0.5 M (ZA05) and 1.5 M (ZA15) KCl solutions for 24 hours at a solid/solvent ratio of 1:3 (weight/volume). The adsorption process was conducted in batch mode using an orbital shaker at a speed of 100 rpm, with contact times ranging from 0 to 210 minutes. The initial ammonium ion concentration was 100 mg/L, and the analysis was performed using a UV-visible spectrophotometer. The results showed that ZA05 and ZA15 adsorbents achieved ammonium ion removal efficiencies of 14.62% and 12.29%, respectively. Adsorption isotherm analysis using the Langmuir and Freundlich models demonstrated a good fit with the equilibrium data, with ZA15 exhibiting a higher maximum adsorption capacity than ZA05. This study confirms the potential of KCl-modified Sarulla natural zeolite as an effective adsorbent material for wastewater treatment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besaran kontribusi layanan bimbingan kelompok terhadap peningkatkan efikasi diri pada siswa kelas X MAN 1 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen kuasi dengan melihat perubahan data penelitian antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 384 siswa kelas X kemudian teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan purposive random sampling sehingga sampel sebanyak 8 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen angket dengan model skala Likert. Hasil uji validitas instrumen menghasilkan sebanyak 29 item yang valid dan reliabilitasnya 0,905. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa dengan korelasi yang diperoleh dari tampilan luaran SPSS model summary 26.00 menunjukkan besarnya hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji Product Moment Correlation diperoleh luaran sebesar r = 0,989 dengan nilai Asymp.Sig. = 0,000 (2-tailed) lebih kecil dari 0.005, maka Ha diterima. Disini terdapat koefisien korelasi positif yang artinya 10 siswa mengalami kenaikan skor efikasi diri siswa dari nilai Pre Test ke nilai Post Test. Selisih peningkatan Mean Rank atau rata-rata peningkatan tersebut adalah sebesar 30,00, koefisien korelasi 0,989 dengan tingkat keberpengaruhan sebesar 98,9 % dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainnya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan Layanan Bimbingan Kelompok dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan efikasi diri siswa kelas X MAN 1 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023.

Abstract

The Earth's surface temperature increases each year due to activities carried out by individuals or companies. Calculating the carbon footprint is one way to determine the emissions generated by human activities. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) business operators have the potential to contribute to the carbon footprints originating from the use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), fuel, and electricity. This research serves as a preliminary analysis to understand MSMEs' GHG emissions from energy and fuel use and identify appropriate strategies to reduce their carbon footprint using a standardized calculation method. This research uses a carbon footprint calculation method based on the methodology established by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The analysis results show that the most significant emission sources from culinary MSME activities are restaurants, with approximately 3,079 CO2eq/year, followed by fried chicken at an average of 2,682 CO2eq/year, and meatball soup at around 2,504 CO2eq/year. The MSME with the highest income is fried chicken, with an average monthly revenue of IDR 19,225,000, while the lowest income is from siomay at IDR 7,700,000 per month. Income has an impact of 93.3% on the carbon footprints. Management measures that can be taken include analyzing which stages of the production process require significant energy, so strategies can be formulated to reduce the emissions produced. Additionally, the government should promote carbon-saving movements and educate the public about energy-efficient household appliances.

Abstract

This research discusses various types of Islamic investment instruments, such as Islamic stocks, sukuk, Islamic mutual funds, and gold, as well as the criteria for choosing investments that are in accordance with sharia values. Islamic investments are increasingly in demand as an investment alternative that is not only financially beneficial, but also in accordance with Islamic principles. The purpose of this research is to find the right type of Islamic investment for beginners amidst global economic uncertainty. The research also emphasizes how important it is to ensure that every investment instrument has integrity and transparency. The method used for the literature study is a descriptive qualitative approach that analyzes various relevant academic sources through content analysis. The results show that investments with low risk, affordable capital, and in accordance with sharia principles, sharia mutual funds, gold and sharia deposits are the most suitable instruments for beginners amid global economic uncertainty. Factors such as risk profile, financial goals and investment time horizon are also explained as important considerations when making decisions for Islamic mutual funds, sukuk and gold. Investors can choose Islamic investment instruments that are profitable and foster confidence with a good understanding. The results of this study are expected to be an initial guide for novice investors in choosing Islamic investments amidst economic uncertainty.

Abstract

Penyampaian Khutbah Jum’at merupakan momen yang paling strategis digunakan untuk mencerdaskan umat, menebarkan kedamaian, dan menyampaikan ajaran agama Islam yang penuh kasih sayang. Khutbah Jum’at yang disampaikan di depan khalayak dengan membaca buku, dirasa tidak up to date dalam merespon perkembangan isu-isu terkini di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Terlebih beberapa jamaah bahkan ada yang berpendidikan tinggi dan ada juga yang berasal dari pondok pesantren dan lainnya Jika seandainya buku yang dibaca banyak membawa hadits-hadits palsu maka akan sangat buruk dampaknya terhadap khatib. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan Penyuluhan dan pendampingan terhadap mahasiswa IAI Diniyyah Pekanbaru dalam mengakses referensi ayat Al-Qur’an, Hadits dan pendapat para ulama secara digital, guna mempermudah dan mendukung mahasiswa dalam memproduksi Khutbah Jum’at yang kontekstual dan responsip terhadap isu-isu sosial keagamaan di tengah masyarakat. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR). Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan para santri mampu mengakses referensi secara digital menggunakan software Al-Qur’an Digital, Maktabah Syamilah dan Lidwa Hadits 9 Imam.
