Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Means Ends Analysis (MEA) dan Direct Intruction (DI) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dalam materi kubus dan balok di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design) dengan rancangan penelitian randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel ditentukan melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model MEA dan DI terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yaitu: 1) sebelum pembelajaran dengan model MEA kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya sebesar 43% dengan kategori sedang, setelah pembelajaran menjadi 60% dengan kategori tinggi. 2) sebelum pembelajaran dengan model DI kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya sebesar 45% dengan kategori sedang, setelah pembelajaran menjadi 55% dengan kategori sedang. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada pembelajaran dengan model MEA lebih baik daripada model DI.   Kata kunci : Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, MEA, DI. Abstract: This research aims to find out comparison the effect of  Means Ends Analysis (MEA) and Direct Instruction (DI) application models toward the mathematical problem solving ability of students’ in geometry of VIIIth grades SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak. The research method used is a quasi experimental method with randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. Samples was determined by cluster random sampling techniques.  Results of data analysis showed that there was the effect of application of MEA and DI models toward the matematial problem solving ability of students, namely: 1) Before learning with MEA model the mathematical problem solving ability of 43% with medium category, after learning becomes of 60% with advaned category. 2) Before learning with DI model the mathematical problem solving ability of 45% with medium category, after learning becomes of 55% with medium category. This illustrates that mathematical problem solving ability on learning with MEA model is better than DI model.   Keywords : Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, MEA, DI.

Abstract

Nowadays, the evolution of technology develops very quickly so that there is a challenge to be faced by the society. This evolution is due to the era of Industry 4.0 which the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) developed rapidly in this era. In the era of Industry 4.0, people are easy to get information quickly, innovation in the field of industrial technology is growing rapidly, and the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) so that it causes changes to people in different countries. In 2016, to anticipate these changes Japan presented an idea namely society 5.0 or better known as a “Super Smart Society”. In fact, society 5.0 is not easy, some must be prepared one of them is to prepare students in education. In the educational world, to realize society 5.0, students must have three high abilities namely: problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity. These three abilities are obtained through high-order thinking. This article reviewed some researches which focus on society 5.0 and the high-order thinking skills. This article aims to describe a high-order thinking ability to prepare students toward society 5.0

Abstract

Pada abad ke-21, pembelajaran di Indonesia lebih menekankan pada high order thinking skills (HOTS) siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian tentang HOTS banyak dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan menerapkan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis HOTS. Namun, beberapa laporan menunjukkan hasil yang tidak konsisten mengenai pengaruh penggunaan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap HOTS siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap HOTS siswa dari pembelajaran sebelumnya. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengkaji karakteristik tingkat pendidikan dan model pembelajaran yang dapat mempengaruhi data effect size yang heterogen. 6 penelitian utama yang relevan diterbitkan dalam jurnal atau prosiding nasional atau internasional dan dianalisis menggunakan meta-analisis. Perangkat lunak meta-analisis komprehensif (CMA) digunakan sebagai alat analisis dengan formula nilai hedge’s nilai untuk menentukan ukuran efek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap HOTS sangat berpengaruh dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Sedangkan tingkat pendidikan dan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning tidak signifikan menyebabkan effect size menjadi heterogen. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat dijadikan solusi dalam pembelajaran abad 21 untuk meningkatkan HOTS siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS berbasis budaya Dayak Desa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Sinar Kasih Sintang yang berjumlah 8 orang. Pembuatan soal HOTS yang kontekstual dengan mengaitkan tentang budaya Dayak Desa pada setiap soalnya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes soal HOTS berbasis budaya Dayak Desa yang terdiri atas lima soal dan wawancara kepada siswa yang memperoleh data tertinggi dan rendah untuk memperoleh data tambahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS berbasis budaya Dayak Desa dikelas X MIPA SMA Sinar Kasih Sintang adalah terkategori cukup dengan rincian sebagai berikut: persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sangat baik adalah sebesar 12,5%. Selanjutnya, 12,5% memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kategori baik; 37,5% memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi  erkategori cukup; 12,5% memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi terkategori kurang; dan 25 % memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kategori sangat kurang.

Abstract

Researchers analyzed the effect of concentration on learning through this study. The available evidence indicates that a large number of students experience a lack of concentration when studying mathematics. Consequently, they are unable to have a constructive disagreement. Descriptive qualitative research approach is the type of analysis used. The subject of this research is a class consisting of 23 students of class XI. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using data collection tools in the form of questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results showed that the percentage of students who took part in class XI Mathematics at SMK Nusantara Indah was included in the category of being able to understand when the teacher explained in class with an average score of 60%. . Class calm and the method used during the process are two factors that influence students' learning interest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Virtonomics simulation game method on the understanding of the concept of modern economic problems in grade X.IPS students. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The participants in this study were 30 grade X.IPS students at a high school in Merauke. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in test results between the pre-test and post-test obtained by students in the experimental class who used the simulation game method. The conclusion is that there is a difference in test results between the pre-test and post-test obtained by students in the experimental class who used the simulation game method.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal (i) the improvement of self-regulated learning skills (SRL) through problem-based learning (PBL), and (ii) the improvement of lecturers’ performance in implementing PBL. To achieve these purposes, a lesson study with two cycles was conducted. Each cycle consisted of plan phase, do phase, and see phase. The study was conducted to the 3rd semester Advance Accounting Students at Musamus University who attended the Introduction to Accounting course. There were 40 students as the research subjects. The sampling technique used to collect data regarding SRL was questionnaires which were flled out by the students; while the data regarding the lecturer’s performance was collected by observation sheets that were flled out by students and members of lesson study group. The study has proved that: (i) the implementation of PBL could improve SRL even though the level of achievement was still not optimal, and (ii) the level of achievement of the lecturer’s performance in implementing PBL was optimal and improving

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 10 Satap Ketungau Tengah yang rendah. Penerapan Discovery Learning Model berbantuan LKS merupakan salah satu alternatif penelitian yang digunakan dalam rangka meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan, peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dan respon siswa terhadap Discovery Learning Model berbantuan LKS pada siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Satap Ketungau Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 36 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi, Lembar Kerja Siswa, soal tes, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Discovery Learning Model berbantuan LKS sangat baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan Discovery Learning Model berbantuan LKS sebesar 15,23 kategori baik sekali yaitu dari rata-rata nilai siswa 65,58 pada siklus I menjadi  80,81 pada siklus II, dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan Discovery Learning Model adalah positif dengan kategori baik Dengan demikian, penerapan Discovery Learning Model berbantuan LKS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Satap Ketungau Tengah pada materi bangun ruang. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar. Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that students at SMP Negeri Buti show varying levels of learning interest, with some having high interest and others low. Interviews with the mathematics teacher revealed that overall student interest is low, especially among male students who tend to be disruptive during lessons. Therefore, the researcher aimed to explore students' interest in learning mathematics through game simulation-based learning, viewed from a gender perspective. This descriptive qualitative study involved 30 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri Buti as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that most students did not pay attention to the teacher’s explanations, and there were gender-based differences in learning interest among seventh-grade students, with male students showing higher interest than female students. It was concluded that overall, the eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri Buti demonstrated a very low level of learning interest. owever, after the implementation of the simulation game, there was a significant increase in interest in learning.
