Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of Paradigm of Reflective Pedagogy (PPR) in Micro Teaching course by providing experiences to students to facilitate learning with more compassion and careful time management for effective learning. By implementing PPR in Micro Teaching course, students are expected to have Competence (the ability to perform basic teaching skills),  Conscience (confidence in performing the basic teaching skills), and Compassion (concern to the students’ responses in the learning process). The implementation results showed that out of 22 students, as many as 16 students (72.73%) got A’s and 6 students (27.27%) got B’s. The average score on Competence aspect was 82, 89 on Conscience aspect and 84 on Compassion aspect.DOI: https://doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2017.010201

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototipe perangkat pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan PMRI untuk topik penjumlahan pecahan di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan tujuannya maka jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development). Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas IVA SD Negeri Adisucipto 1 Yogyakarta. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan  observasi, wawancara, dan pemberian angket. Observasi dan wawancara dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data needs assessment yang merupakan data kualitatif. Sedangkan angket digunakan untuk mendapatkan data validasi perangkat oleh ahli dan data respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Pengembangan prototipe perangkat pembelajaran matematika menggunakan prosedur pengembangan dari Sugiyono, yaitu: potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, ujicoba produk, dan revisi produk. Hasil penelitian adalah prototipe perangkat pembelajaran matematika topik Penjumlahan Pecahan kelas IV SD yang terdiri dari: silabus yang mengakomodasi katakteristik PMRI, RPP yang memuat langkah-langkah PMRI, serta LKS, bahan ajar, dan evaluasi yang memuat masalah kontekstual. Kata Kunci: PMRI, perangkat pembelajaran, penjumlahan pecahan

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh minimnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang mengakomodasi keinginan siswa tentang pembelajaran matematika yang menyenangkan dan memudahkan guru menyampaikan  materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui cara dan dampak dari pengembangan media pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar berbasis Adobe Flash Professional CS5.Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Prosedur penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan adalah hasil modifikasi dari model pengembangan Borg and Gall dan model pengembangan Sugiyono, yang meliputi lima langkah pengembangan: (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) pengembangan media pembelajaran, (3) validasi produk, (4) instrumen uji coba terbatas, dan (5) uji coba terbatas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP negeri di Yogyakarta. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar berbasis Adobe Flash Professional CS5. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian ini berupa media pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar berbasis Adobe Flash Professional CS5. Kualitas media termasuk  kategori “Sangat Baik” dengan presentase keidealan sebesar 86,36 %. Media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan, memberikan gambaran kepada guru tentang pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Adobe Flash Professional CS5. Siswa lebih aktif dan antusias dalam peoses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 67,31 % berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest.

Abstract

The research was the qualitative descriptive research. The purpose of this research was to described the implementation results of the Paradigm of Reflective Pedagogy (PPR) in learning of Matematika 2 on competence, conscience, and compassion aspects. The subject of the research were 46 student participants of Matematika 2 courses of Primary School Teacher Education of Sanata Dharma University (USD). The data were collected through 1) test to measure the competence aspect and 2) questionary to measure the conscience and compassion aspects. The result showed that there was increase competence aspect, that is from 80,43% to 97,83%. There was increase in average scores on attitudes: tough, persevering, courageous, responsible, honest, independent, disciplined, open, and the value of life, that is from 3,77 (scale 1-5) to 4,07. There was increase in average scores on attitudes: cooperation, engaging, sharing, and caring, that is from 3,98 to 4,09. Implication from the result was implementation of PPR can develop students holistically, both from the aspect of competence, conscience, and compassion.

Abstract

This research is a literature study with a qualitative approach. This research is motivated by the importance of students' understanding of the material properties of quadrilaterals. The purpose of this study is that researchers want to find out whether Van Hiele's theory and contextual approaches are effective in increasing the understanding of fifth grade elementary school students about the material properties of quadrilaterals. Van Hiele's theory is a theory that is specifically used in the field of geometry which has 5 stages of learning, namely the information stage, the directed orientation stage, the explicitization stage, the free orientation stage, and the integration stage. While the contextual approach emphasizes on 7 contextual components, namely: (1) Constructivism, (2) Asking, (3) Finding, (4) Learning Society, (5) Modeling, (6) Reflection, (7) Actual assessment. So that learning is obtained through knowledge and experience or the real world, improving students' higher order thinking processes, student-centered, active students, critical, creative, problem solving, students learn in a fun, exciting, not boring, and use various learning resources. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' understanding of the material properties of quadrilaterals by using Van Hiele's learning theory and contextual approach.

Abstract

At schools, many teachers generally applied a conventional way of teaching mathematics. Students were only required to achieve cognitive learning success. This study aimed to develop mathematics learning media for lessons related to pyramids using the Reflective Pedagogical Paradigm (RPP) and Van Hiele theory, including the development steps and student and teacher responses to the learning process. The researchers used the research and development procedures by Borg and Gall that include (1) Preliminary studies; (2) Planning Research; (3) Design Development; (4) Limited Trial; (5) Revision of Limited Field Test Results. The learning tools developed were syllabus, lesson plans, modules, worksheets, formative tests, and attitude assessments. The data collection techniques used were observation, distributing questionnaires, interviews, and tests. Based on the validation results, the learning media got 4.19, thus categorized as "good," and students' response to the learning process reached 128.23, thus categorized as "good" as well. Students and teachers carried out learning happily and actively.

Abstract

The curriculum in Indonesia has gone through various changes which are expected to make education in Indonesia grow and educate the nation's children. Government developing a Merdeka Curriculum. The Merdeka Curriculum gives students the freedom to seek scientific information so that it fosters activeness in students in learning. The purpose of this research is to know and describe the steps to overcome students when learning mathematics. This Type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. This research was conducted at senior high school in Surakarta with the research subjects being students of class E4 at senior high school in Surakarta and having the research objective of knowing and describing things that make students active and inactive which make students during Mathematics Learning. Furthermore, the method of collecting data in this study is observation, interviews, and giving appointments to students. Analysis conducted by researchers namely data collection, analysis of data obtained, drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the activeness of students supported by the division of small groups to build student activity in the classroom. The enthusiasm of educators can build student activity such as giving games before learning takes place. Educators also deliver material in an interesting way to make students active to learn in the classroom.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan sebuah ilmu yang penting untuk dipelajari dan dikembangkan untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir seseorang. Guru matematika memanfaatkan teknologi dengan menggunakan media-media digital matematika yang dapat menjadi salah satu fasilitator siswa untuk memahami konsep dalam suatu materi secara maksimal. Salah satu media digital yang dapat menjadi fasilitator siswa dalam memaksimalkan belajar matematika yaitu aplikasi MathCityMap. Penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi pada pengembangan teknologi pendidikan yang dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran di era digital ini. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pengembangan aktivitas pembelajaran matematika menggunakan mathcitymap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model Four-D dari Thiagarajan, Sammel, and Sammel (1974), namun dibatasi sampai tahap ketiga. Tahap model Four-D yaitu define, design, development, disseminate. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan ini yaitu aktivitas pembelajaran matematika menggunakan mathcitymap yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kontekstual siswa pada materi bangun datar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan modul ajar terkait materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan satu variabel berbasis literasi numerasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi dan disposisi siswa kelas VII A. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 32 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan mengikuti tahap-tahap ASSURE yaitu; (1) menganalisis siswa (analyze learner), (2) merumuskan standar dan tujuan (state standard and objectives), (3) memilih strategi, teknologi, media dan materi ajar (select methods, media, and materials), (4) memanfaatkan teknologi, media dan materi ajar (utilize methods, media, and materials), (5) mengajak siswa untuk berpartisipasi (requires learner participation), (6) melakukan evaluasi dan revisi (evaluate and revise). Namun, pada penelitian ini tahapan hanya berhenti di tahap memilih strategi, teknologi, media dan materi ajar (select methods, media, and materials). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi para guru kelas VII di Indonesia untuk mengimplementasikan pembelajaran matematika.
