Abstract

Guru sekolah kejuruan adalah guru yang mengajar pada sekolah kejuruan yang memiliki kompetensi dan keahlian pedagogis, kepribadian, profesional dan sosial. Guru SMK dikelompokkan menjadi tiga yaitu guru normatif, guru adaptif dan guru produktif. Teacherprenuer memiliki tiga komponen utama yaitu komponen kompetensi, komponen kreatifitas serta komponen efektifitas. Sedangkan kebanyakan guru belum memahami komponen-komponen tersebut sehingga mereka tidak bisa secara maksimal dalam kegiatan pembelajaran maupun aktualisasi diri yang sesuai dengan profesinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan teacherpreneur dan apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan teacherpreneur pada guru produktif SMK di Kabupaten Grobogan selama masa Pandemi Covid-19. Peneliti memutuskan penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kategori level 1 tidak ditemukan pada guru produktif SMK di Kabupaten Grobogan, sedangkan kategori level 2 ditemukan pada subjek G2 sedangkan untuk subjek G1, G3, G4 dan G5 termasuk dalam level 3. Adapun faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan teacherpreneur pada guru produktif di Kabupaten Grobogan yaitu faktor internal yang terdiri dari motivasi diri, time management, dan misconception. Sedangkan untuk faktor eksternal terdiri dari sumber daya siswa, lingkungan kerja dan kebijakan pemerintah. Kata Kunci : Guru Profuktif, Teacherpreneur, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK)

Abstract

Background: Vocabulary mastery is crucial to English speaking skills, yet many elementary school students struggle to remember and use vocabulary effectively in daily communication. This is often due to conventional teaching methods that lack engagement and effectiveness. Objective: This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to enhance students’ vocabulary acquisition and speaking skills through animated educational videos as interactive and engaging learning media. The main objective is to help students develop English vocabulary relevant to everyday life and improve their speaking abilities. Method: The program was implemented using a systematic approach comprising five main stages: needs analysis, planning, program implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. It involved 28 sixth-grade students, and the data were gathered through observations, discussions, and interviews.Results: The results indicate that animated educational videos enhanced students’ vocabulary mastery, motivation, and speaking confidence. Students became more enthusiastic, actively participated, and showed greater willingness to speak English during activities. Conclusion: In conclusion, animated educational videos effectively create engaging, interactive, and contextual learning environments and can serve as an innovative strategy to improve the quality of English language learning at the elementary level.

Abstract

The integration of digital media into language learning has expanded opportunities for EFL learners to practice speaking in more authentic, creative and self-directed ways, particularly through student-created digital content (SCDC) that enables learners to produce and share their own speaking performances. Public speaking remains a persistent challenge for Indonesian EFL college students, who often experience anxiety, limited exposure, and traditional instruction that restricts authentic speaking practice. This study explores the learning pathways of Indonesian EFL college students by examining their experiences, challenges, and growth while creating digital speaking content for public speaking practice. This study employed a qualitative case study design, involving nine English education students enrolled in a semester-long public speaking course. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and reflective journals, analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s (2017) thematic analysis framework, grounded in Constructivist Learning Theory, the Affective Filter Hypothesis, and Self-Determination Theory. The findings reveal that students experienced SCDC as meaningful, empowering, and transformative, as it allowed personal expression and greater control over learning. While students confronted linguistic, technical, and psychological challenges, these difficulties became opportunities for constructive practice, reflection, and development. This study also shows multidimensional growth, categorized into linguistic, digital, motivational, and identity development. Overall, this study concludes that SCDC functions not only as a speaking task but also as a holistic learning pathway that connects experiences, challenges and growth into a transformative learning process. Finally, this study provides significant implications for language teaching and learning.

Abstract

This research applied quasi-experimental method with two groups pre-test and posttest design. There were two variables of this research; they were independent variable and dependent variable, while the independent variable was Flashcard and dependent variable was students’ speaking skill. The population of this research was the second years students of MA Yafallah year 2020 consisting of 352 students. The sample of the research consisted of 60 students which were taken by using Purposive Sampling technique.This reasearch used only one instrument. That was the oral speaking test. Futhermore, that instrument process was used pre-test and post-test. Moreover, the researcher collected the data with assessing student’s vocabulary and fluency. As the result, the data indicated that there was significant differences between students post-test in experimental class and control class. The mean score of post-test (4.1) in experimental class was greater than the mean score of post-test (2.9) in controlled class. From t-test, the researcher found that the value of t-test (2.29) was greater than t-table (2.00). Therefore, the researcher suggested that The Use of Flashcard is effective in teaching speaking

Abstract

Nowadays, worldwide still struggling with a pandemic of a virus that is called novel coronavirus. This virus has expanded from 2019 till now. Subsequently, governments decide on modifying each single scope including on education. Government restricts face to face meeting toward cutting off Covid 19 expanses. Government has to provide a new rule of teaching the learning process. This situation has an enormous encounter between teacher and student; they should conduct a teaching learning process by online. Thus Google classroom by Google is one of one stop platforms in the electronic learning process. It assists both teacher and student to conduct online class and they can arrange assignments generously by utilizing Google classroom. The method that was employed in this research was a library research. Arikunto stated that literature studies in research are methods of collecting data by seeking information through books, newspapers, magazines and other literature that aims to form a theoretical foundation (Arikunto, 2006). The entire research stands on discussing the effectiveness of Google Classroom by Google both qualitative research and quantitative research. This condition defines that online learning has a significant role in pandemic. Since the research collects the entire journal, the researcher obtained that this research clearly clarifies that Google classrooms effectively support online learning in Covid 19 pandemic.

In collecting data, the writer concentrates the utterances which contains words which has more than one meaning. The result of the research, there are 20 words with more than one meaning.

Abstract

This research in title “Politness strategies the use Bald-on Record in the MOANA movie. The problems of this research are: What kinds of Politeness Strategies used Blad-on record by the character in “Moana” & What are the functions of Politeness Strategies Bald-on Record used by the main character in “Moana” movie. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The purpose of this research is to identify, classify, analyze the function and types of politeness strategies in used that can be shown in the conversation in the animation movie. In collecting data, the writer concentrates the utterance‟s which contains the politeness strategies produced by the main character in the movie. The result of the research, there are 4 strategies that are used by these 2 characters; bald-on record, positive politeness, negative politeness, and off record. This research foccus in politeness strategies use bald-on record.

Abstract

Curriculum is a set of plans and tools to establish the objectives, subject matter, and curriculum material as well as the learning activities to be carried out in order to achieve particular educational goals. This research was conducted to ascertain English teachers’ perception of the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in one of the vocational high schools, called Centers of Excellence (SMK PK). The researcher used a descriptive qualitative method as a research design, and data obtained through observation and interview. The subjects were four English teachers. This research is focused on the following six areas of implementation Merdeka Curriculum: 1) Understanding of subject 2) Content administration reduction in MBKM 3) Learning process and P5 in MBKM 4) Assessment 5) Teacher experience in MBKM 6) Obstacles. The results of the research found that the Merdeka curriculum in one of the vocational high schools had been implemented. However, an obstacle arose related to teacher are still adapting to the new term in the Merdeka curriculum. The teachers are unable to manage time effectively in the learning process and have limited references. The teachers must provide handling during the administration of the evaluation because the students are different, resulting in less engaged students for whom the teacher is only a facilitator. Other problems included teachers who rarely utilized the Merdeka curriculum's assessment methods. Additionally, the English teacher has a way to overcome some of the obstacles and make sure the Merdeka curriculum succeeds.
