Background: Vocabulary mastery is crucial to English speaking skills, yet many elementary school students struggle to remember and use vocabulary effectively in daily communication. This is often due to conventional teaching methods that lack engagement and effectiveness. Objective: This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to enhance students’ vocabulary acquisition and speaking skills through animated educational videos as interactive and engaging learning media. The main objective is to help students develop English vocabulary relevant to everyday life and improve their speaking abilities. Method: The program was implemented using a systematic approach comprising five main stages: needs analysis, planning, program implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. It involved 28 sixth-grade students, and the data were gathered through observations, discussions, and interviews.Results: The results indicate that animated educational videos enhanced students’ vocabulary mastery, motivation, and speaking confidence. Students became more enthusiastic, actively participated, and showed greater willingness to speak English during activities. Conclusion: In conclusion, animated educational videos effectively create engaging, interactive, and contextual learning environments and can serve as an innovative strategy to improve the quality of English language learning at the elementary level.

Deixis is an important part of linguistics and pragmatics, functioning to interpret utterances in context. This study aims to examine the types of deixis used in the lyrics of Miley Cyrus’s most famous song at the time, “Angles like you”. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method. The data are derived from the lyrics of the song. The data are based on the taxonomy of deixis types by Yule (1996). The results reveal that there are four categories of deixis found in this study, namely person deixis, time deixis, and place deixis. Meanwhile, none of the discourse deixis is used. Person deixis is the most commonly used deixis, followed by temporal deixis, spatial deixis, and social deixis. Finally, it is expected that this study may facilitate readers to more easily understand the use of deixis in communication.

Poetry is the author's expression as a means of expression in the form of writing with each stanza full of meaning. Therefore, in understanding a poem, in-depth study is needed. This research aims to describe the intrinsic and extrinsic elements contained in the poem “Tuhan, Kita Begitu Dekat” by Abdul Hadi WM The method used is descriptive qualitative with a structural approach originating from the data or poem. Based on research, shows that the results of data analysis of the poem “Tuhan, Kita Begitu Dekat” by Abdul Hadi WM, have several extrinsic elements consisting of theme, feeling, tone, atmosphere, and message as well as the intrinsic element of the poem including diction, concrete words, images, figures of speech and rhyme

This study seeks to critically examine the semiortic elements embedded within the promotional poster for Indonesian Ipar adalah Maut. A poster plays a crucial role in the marketing strategies for cinematic productions, serving as visual medium that comprises the essence of the film. Ipar adalah Maut, a roumantic drama produced by MD Pictures and Manoj Punjadi, and directed by Hanung Bramantyo, serves as the focal point of this study. A qualitative analysis methodology was employed to explore the selected Movie Poster, utilizing Saussure’s semiotic theory as the primary analytical framework. This approach is further enriched by including Darmaprawita’s color theory and Barthers’ concepts of the relationship between the signifier and the signified, as well as the process through signing generate connotative and denotative meaning. The findings of this research reveal that the poster’s illutions of the main characters, accompanied by various props, convey critical information about the narrative themes and storylines presented in the movie. These visual elements function not merely as decorative features but as integral components of the poster’s overall semiotic structure, contributing to the audience’s understanding and interpretation of the film’s content. Through this analysis, the study hightights the intricate interplay between visual design and meaning-making in Movie Posters, underscoring their significance in shaping audience expections and perceptions.

Anxiety significantly impacts students' language learning processes, particularly influencing their ability to perform effectively in speaking activities. This study aims to determine the correlation between students' anxiety and their speaking performance at SMA Negeri 1 Kradenan, involving a sample of 72 eleventh-grade students. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing Pearson correlation analysis to assess the data. The Foreign Language Speaking Anxiety Scale questionnaire, adapted from Horwitz et al. (1995), was used to measure anxiety levels, while speaking performance scores were collected from teachers as secondary data. The results showed a statistically significant negative correlation (r = -0.926, p < 0.05). These findings indicate a strong negative correlation, suggesting that higher anxiety levels are associated with lower speaking performance. To address these challenges, educators must create a supportive learning environment that fosters student confidence. Based on the study's findings, it is recommended that educators implement effective strategies to reduce anxiety, such as relaxation techniques and small group speaking practices. These approaches can help improve students' confidence and enhance their speaking performance, leading to a more positive language learning experience. By addressing anxiety, educators can significantly enhance students' engagement and success in language learning.

Background: Literacy is an ability that is really needed by a person. Literacy is the basis for a person to develop their abilities, apart from that, in terms of receiving new information, literacy has a major role. This makes the government promote literacy improvement programs from an early age. In particular, the implementation of literacy programs is often found at the elementary and middle school levels. Apart from that, equal distribution of literacy skills in Indonesia is also very important in improving human resources in this country. This is proven when the literacy skills between students who attend schools located in big cities and the literacy skills of students who go to schools in fairly underdeveloped areas have quite significant differences, therefore there is a need for programs which can reach the average Indonesian community. in terms of increasing literacy for future generations. Methodology: The target of this activity is students at SD Negeri 4 Juworo. The stages of implementing the activity include observation and discussion with teachers at SD Negeri 4 Juworo. Observations are carried out to identify the condition of partners implementing activities and selecting programs for implementing activities. The observation results show that the literacy skills of SD Negeri 4 Juworo students are still low. So, the An Nuur University service team implemented the use of the vocabulary in the clouds strategy in the classroom when literacy learning was carried out. The form of implementation of this strategy is in the form of games that involve the students actively in the classroom. Results: After the coloring competition activity, fine motoric development in preschool children increased. Conclusion: Parents' knowledge about fine motor development increases, children can carry out tasks well, children's willingness to color contributes to fine motor development in preschool children.
