Abstract

Anak tunagrahita merupakan anak yang mengalami kelemahan psikis dan fisik, kelemahan tersebut dapat menyebabkan gangguan dan hambatan dalam perawatan diri sehingga mengakibatkan anak menjadi kurang mandiri. Salah satu cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemandirian anak adalah dengan memberikan pola asuh yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pola asuh demokratis dan otoriter terhadap kemandirian anak tunagrahita di SLB Yayasan Bahagia Kota Tasikmalaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitaif dengan metode komparatif dan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang memiliki anak tunagrahita ringan sebanyak 63 orang. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian didapatkan pola asuh demokratis pada anak tunagrahita sebagian besar demokratis (60.3%), dan sebagian besar bukan otoriter (60.3%). Kemandirian anak tunagrahita di SLB Yayasan Bahagia Kota Tasikmalaya sebagian besar kurang mandiri (54.0%). Terdapat perbedaan pola asuh demokratis dan otoriter terhadap kemandirian anak tunagrahita di SLB Yayasan Bahagia Kota Tasikmalaya dengan p value 0,002. Simpulan dari penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan pola asuh demokratis dan otoriter terhadap kemandirian anak tunagrahita sehingga disarankan orang tua dapat mengoptimalkan kemandirian anak tunagrahita melalui penerapan pola asuh demokratis, orang tua hendaknya tidak memaksakan kendak kepada anak tunagrahita, sehingga proses kemandirian berkembang secara optimal.

Abstract

Student motivation to learn is an issue that must be paid attention to by everyone, be it the family or the school. Entering adolescence, children will more often experience ups and downs in motivation when studying, ups and downs in learning motivation are influenced by poor emotional intelligence. The aim of this research is to find out the effect of emotional intelligence on the learning motivation of class VIII students at SMPN 6 Bukittinggi. The technique used for sampling was a purposive sampling technique with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire which was distributed to 123 students. The results of the analysis show that emotional intelligence has a significant influence on learning motivation with a correlation value of 0.353 and a coefficient of determination of 0.125. In conclusion, emotional intelligence has an influence of 12.5% ​​on learning motivation, while 87.5% is influenced by other factors not examined in this research. It is hoped that the results of these findings can encourage schools and families to help students have good emotional intelligence so that students have good motivation to learn.Emotional Intelligence

Abstract

The frequent earthquakes in Indonesia have had complex impacts, not only on physical damage and material losses, but also on the psychological aspects of survivors. One psychological problem that often arises is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which can disrupt mental health, quality of life, and an individual's ability to return to normal activities. This condition requires appropriate treatment, one of which is through providing effective coping strategies for survivors. The purpose of this study is to collect and review knowledge related to coping strategies used by earthquake disaster victims who experience PTSD. This study uses a literature review approach by exploring various relevant scientific sources that are in line with the topic. The analysis process was carried out using the content analysis method, namely an in-depth discussion of the data with reference to the stress coping theory proposed by Lazarus and Folkman. The results of the study indicate that each region, both in Indonesia and in various countries, has a different approach to coping strategies to overcome PTSD in earthquake victims. These differences are influenced by culture, social values, community support, and available resources. In general, the identified coping strategies fall into two main categories: problem-focused coping (active coping), which focuses on solving problems, and emotion-focused coping (passive coping), which focuses on managing emotions resulting from trauma. These findings confirm that a combination of these two strategies, tailored to individual characteristics and cultural context, can be an effective approach to the psychological recovery of earthquake survivors.

Abstract

Assertive is a form of learning that forms the identity of an individual. Assertive ability can also bring up communication skills that can assist individuals in carrying out their social demands. Assertive behavior is important for children to have to prevent sexual violence, bullying and communication difficulties in children. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of pop up books in increasing assertiveness in children. The method used in this study is an experimental research method which uses a pre-test post-test control group design. Data collection was carried out through observation with the checklist recording technique. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis. The subjects in this study were class II children of SD Negeri Padang Lua for the 2022/2023 academic year, aged 8-9 years. Based on the results of the pre-post test analysis, there was a significant difference in the form of an increase in assertive behavior in the experimental group. This proves that the use of pop up books is effective in increasing assertiveness in children. It is hoped that future researchers will implement this research in a more conducive environment and with a longer intervention time.
