Abstract

Research in contemporary education over the past few decades has led to considering the influence of non-cognitive factors such as learning styles in various learning behaviors. This study aims to examine the influence of the epistemic beliefs that consist of belief in knowledge and belief in learning on field-dependent and field-independent learning styles. The sample consisted of 129 students at the Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program, Department of Islamic Education, Kudus State Islamic Institute through the simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique was through the use of questionnaires. There are three scales employed in this study, namely epistemological trust scale, dependent learning style and independent learning style. Data were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that the belief in learning has a significant and positive effect on the field-dependent and field-independent learning style. Meanwhile, the belief in learning has only a significant and negative effect on the field-independent learning style and has no significant effect on field-dependent learning style. The results provide some insightful considerations regarding the utilization of epistemic beliefs for improving learners’ interaction with the surrounding context to obtain an optimal academic performance.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the present study was to determine the relationship between religious commitment and marital satisfaction among couples worked as Indonesian Migrant Workers. This study involved 51 samples of married couples and one of whom worked as Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) who live in Ponorogo District. The sampling technique used is convenience sampling. Data collection techniques used in this study in the form of scales and checklists. The data analysis in this study done by using correlation technique. Based on result of analysis test obtained that religious commitment have positive correlation with marital satisfaction equal to r = 0,364; p = 0,009.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara komitmen beragama dengan kepuasan kerja pada pasangan yang bekerja menjadi tenaga kerja Indonesia di luar Negeri. Penelitian ini melibatkan 51 sampel pasangan yang telah menikah dan salah satunya bekerja menjadi Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) yang tinggal di Kabupaten Ponorogo. Adapun teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah  convenience sampling. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dalam bentuk skala. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis diperoleh bahwa komitmen beragama mempunyai korelasi positif dengan kepuasan perkawinan sebesar r= 0,364; p=0,009.

Abstract

This Study was meta-analysis of the correlation between religion and happiness. Meta-analysis aims at concluding, integrating, and interpreting data gathered from previous research. Therefore, apart from acting as primary research, the data to be analyzed through this method must have the same constructs and correlation patterns so that it could be compared with one another. The quantitative review includes 15 studies from 9 articles that contained a combined sample of approximately 7272. This analysis extends previous work by directly correcting error of sampling and measurements. Summary analysis provided support that religion has a correlation on happiness. The result showed religion have been identified as predictors and happiness.

Abstract

This Study was meta-analysis of the relationship between self efficacy and mathematics learning outcome. The quantitative review includes 14 studies from 13 articles that contained a combined sample of approximately 6157. This analysis extends previous work by directly correcting error of sampling and measurements. Summary analysis provided support that self efficacy has a correlation on mathematics learning outcome. The result showed self efficacy have been identified as predictors and mathematics learning outcome.

Abstract

The study on academic procrastination can help educators and educational developers in avoiding the lack of success and even failure in the educational process. This study aims to examine the effect of belief about knowledge, belief about learning, and self-regulation in learning on academic procrastination. This quantitative study involves 277 college students. The data collection technique used in this study is a questionnaire in the form of a scale. There are four types of scales used in the data collection process: the scale of belief about knowledge, the scale of belief about learning, the scale of self-regulation in learning, and the scale of academic procrastination. Data analysis technique using structural equation technique. The results show that belief about knowledge has an effect on self-regulation in learning (r = 0.157, p = 0.028), belief about knowledge affects academic procrastination (r = -0,157, p = 0.000), belief about learning affects self-regulation in learning (r = 0.199, p = 0,040), belief about learning affects academic procrastination (r = -0.147, p = 0,019), and self-regulation in learning affects significant negatively to academic procrastination (r = -0.097, p = 0,030).

Abstract

Salah satu situasi yang menimbulkan rasa tidak nyaman pada siswa adalah ujian nasional, dan siswa yang dihadapkan pada situasi tersebut akan muncul perasaan cemas. Ketika akan menghadapi ujian nasional, tingkat kecemasan siswa mengalami peningkatan dikarenakan ujian nasional dilaksanakan menggunakan sistem berbasis komputer yang berbeda dengan ujian nasional sebelumnya. Dalam mencari rasa aman untuk mengatasi kecemasan yang dirasakan oleh siswa maka salah satu caranya adalah dengan meningkatkan efikasi diri. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk (1) mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional, (2) mengetahui besar hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional, (3) mengetahui tingkat efikasi diri siswa, (4) mengetahui tingkat kecemasanmenghadapi ujian nasional. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 3 MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. Total sampel penelitian adalah 186 siswa dari jumlah populasi 393 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik probability sampling. Data di dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan skala efikasi diri dan skala kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional. Data kemudian dianalis menggunakan analis korelasi product moment dan menggunakan taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional, hal ini terlihat pada nilai signifikansi 0,000 dimana p < 0,05 dan r= -0,573 (2) sumbangan efektif atau peranan efikasi diri terhadap kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional sebesar 32,8%, maka masih ada 67,2% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor faktor lain yaitu faktor lingkungan dan faktor individu, (3) tingkat efikasi diri di MTsN 2 Kota Kediri berada pada tingkat tinggi dengan nilai rata rata (mean) 158,32, (4) tingkat kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional di MTsN 2 Kota Kediri berada pada tingkat sedang dengan nilai rata-rata (mean) 92,11.

Abstract

Menghafal Al-Qur’an merupakan salah satu upaya menjaga kemurnian Al-Qur’an dan kebutuhan umat muslimin terhadap diri sendiri. Namun, sebagian besar muslim merasa kesulitan dan berat untuk menghafalkannnya. Begitu juga yang dialami oleh siswa yang tinggal di ma’had dan mendapat target untuk menghafalkan Al-Qur’an. Kesibukan yang beragam dari masing-masing siswa dapat mempengaruhi kualitas menghafal Al-Qur’an. Karena itu, peneliti ingin mengetahui tentang : 1. Tingkat Pengelolaan diri siswa kelas VIII di Ma’had Al-Azhar MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. 2. Tingkat Kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an siswa kelas VIII di Ma’had Al-Azhar MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. serta, 3. Hubungan antara pengelolaan diri dengan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an pada siswa kelas VIII di Ma’had Al-Azhar MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di Ma’had Al-Azhar MTsN 2 Kota Kediri yang berjumlah 50 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis uji korelasi product moment dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode skala dan hasil nilai tes lisan menghafal. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh data bahwa: 1. Tingkat pengelolaan diri pada siswa kelas VIII di Ma’had Al-Azhar MTsN 2 Kota Kediri tergolong dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebanyak 22 siswa dengan presentase 44%. 2. Tingkat kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an pada siswa kelas VIII di Ma’had Al-Azhar MTsN 2 Kota Kediri dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebanyak 19 siswa dengan presentase 38%. 3. Terdapat hubungan positif antara pengelolaan diri dengan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an siswa kelas VIII di Ma’had Al-Azhar MTsN 2 Kota Kediri sebesar 0,982 Artinya semakin tinggi tingkat pengelolaan diri maka kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an akan semakin tinggi pula.

Abstract

Research on the development of the concept of gratitude with Indonesian participants is quite important, considering that in Indonesia until now there has been no instrument specifically used to measure or assess the concept of gratitude that was developed based on Indonesian citizens. The purpose of this study is to develop the concept of a thanksgiving scale using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The study participants were 129 students of IAIN Kediri. The scale used in this study is based on the results of the first study conducted qualitatively. The second research analysis using exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The results of an exploratory analysis conducted on data from all research subjects, obtained the results that the gratitude of the subject is organized into three factors, namely the factor of recognizing favors, receiving favors and praising Allah for favors. Based on the confirmatory analysis it was found that chi-square 135,570 (DF = 88, p = 0.001), CMIN / DF = 1.541, GFI = 0.884, AGFI = 0.841, TLI = 0.904 and RMSEA = 0.065. Thus the criteria for acceptance of the model can be met or are in accordance with the requirements. Thus it can be stated that the proposed model design is the same as empirical data or the proposed model is fit.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of family support on reading interest in class IX MTs Nurul Islam, Kediri. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study were 57 respondents. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling in the form of purposive sampling. The research data analysis was carried out using linear regression analysis. Based on the results of research on family support for reading interest in class IX MTs Nurul Islam, Kediri, namely: the level of family support is in the moderate category and the level of students' reading interest is in the moderate category. Based on the results of the regression analysis, a sufficient/moderate (positive) relationship was obtained between family support and reading interest with a coefficient of determination of 20.9%. Thus it can be said that the influence of reading interest is influenced by family support by 20.9%, while the remaining 79.1% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between epistemological beliefs and self-regulated learning. The respondent of this study were 105 students of elementary Islamic teaching program in Islamic State College in Kudus, that completed questionnaires to measure they epistemological beliefs and self-regulated learning. The results of the study showed that there was a negative significant relationship between epistemological beliefs and selfregulated learning.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan epistemologis dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Jurusan Tarbiyah, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Kudus yang berjumlah 105 mahasiswa. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dalam bentuk skala. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi yang menghasilkan bahwa kepercayaan epistemologis berhubungan secara negatif dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri.
