Abstract

Geopolymer concrete is concrete composed of cystesis material of non-organic materials that go through a polymerization process so that it is environmentally friendly, so it can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide produced in Portland cement in the normal concrete manufacturing process which can cause a greenhouse effect. Geopolymer concrete requires a lot of silica and alumina. In geopolymer concrete, the most common alkaline activators used in geopolymer concrete are Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) and Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3). Fly Ash has a lot of silica and alumina and the role of alkali activator to dissolve the elements of silica and alumina. The method carried out is an experiment. This study used a ratio between fly ash and activator of 70%:30%, and used a ratio of activators between Na2SiO3 and NaOH of 5:2, 6:2, 7:2, 8:2, 9:2, with a cylinder test object of 20x10 cm with a test result of 42.71 MPa.Keywords: Activator, Compressive Strength, Geopolymer Concrete,

Abstract

The infrastucture of high-rise buildings must have an earthquake resistance. As a mitigation effort, a building must be symmetrical. When an earthquake occurs the response of the structure easily predictable. However, along with the development of architectural design, many buildings with irregular shapes (asymmetrical). So, it is necessary to analyze the behavior of structures in irregular buildings. The purpose of this study was to determined the maximum displacement value and a structural performance due to an earthquake loads based on ATC-40. The earthquake analysis used a Response Spectrum and Time History with the help of ETABS V17.0.1 software, case study located in Bekasi City Government Service Office (POLRES) building. The research used quantitative descriptive method. Based on the analysis, the maximum displacement value due to earthquake loads using the Response Spectrum analysis method for the X direction were 74,655 mm and 54,566 mm for the Y direction.Keywords: Asymmetrical, Displacement structure, Earthquake loads, Earthquake Resistance, Structure performance,

Abstract

The city of Bandung is one of the cities that is prone to earthquakes because it is passed by the Lembang fault. Therefore, buildings in the city of Bandung should have implemented the concept of earthquake-resistant buildings in their construction. To avoid the occurrence of damage or collapse of the structure of the building against an earthquake, it is necessary to analyze the building against the earthquake. This study aims to determine how many deviations occur in the building due to the earthquake and the performance of the building structure. The method used is the response spectrum and time history analysis method and then evaluates the performance of the structure against earthquakes using the ATC-40 standard. The building that is the case study is the Directorate of Drugs and the Directorate of Intelligence and Security for the West Java Police, which consists of 5 floors. Structural modeling and analysis were performed using ETABS v20. Earthquake records used are Imperial Valley, Kobe and Trinidad earthquakes. Based on the results of the analysis of the maximum deviation with the response spectrum method 26.74 mm in the X direction and 26.46 mm in the Y direction. Meanwhile, for the time history analysis, it was obtained 33.05 mm in the X direction and 28.96 in the Y direction. The maximum value of the total deviation obtained 0.0016 m and the maximum value of inelastic deviation obtained 0.0014 m so that it shows the level of performance of this building structure based on ATC-40 is Immediate Occupancy (IO), which means the structure is in a safe condition.Keywords : ATC-40, earthquake resistant buildings, spectrum response, time history,

Abstract

Pompa hidram adalah pompa air dijalankan dengan tenaga air itu sendiri. Pompa tersebut bekerja dengan menggunakan energi air yang jatuh ketinggian kecil untuk mengangkat sebagian kecil dari jumlah air ke ketinggian yang lebih besar. Dengan cara ini, air dari mata air atau sungai di lembah dapat dipompa ke daerah di lereng bukit. Keuntungan utama dan keunikan pompa hidram adalah bahwa dengan aliran air yang kontinu, pompa hidram beroperasi secara otomatis dan terus menerus tanpa sumber energi eksternal lainnya — baik itu listrik atau bahan bakar hidrokarbon, sehingga biaya operasionalnya rendah. Pompa hidram ini sangat sesuai untuk digunakan di daerah di mana terdapat sumber air yang mempunyai head rendah, serta diperlukan memompa air ke lokasi pemukiman yang mempunyai elevasi lebih tinggi dari sumber air tersebut. Pada kondisi seperti inilah pompa hidram menjadi sangat bermanfaat sekali, karena pompa ini tidak membutuhkan sumber daya lain selain energi kinetik dari air yang mengalir itu sendiri. Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan dan pemeliharaan pompa hidram bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam hal pembuatan dan pemeliharaannya, sebagai alternatif penghematan tenaga listrik dan pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah dan demonstrasi serta praktek dan pembimbingan. Metode ceramah dan demonstrasi digunakan untuk memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan peserta berbagai hal yang berkaitan dengan teknologi hidram. Adapun praktek dan pembimbingan digunakan untuk memberikan kesempatan berlatih membuat hidram.

Abstract

This study compares the seismic performance of fixed-base and base-isolated structures for the KAI Boutique Hotel Building in Bandung, a region prone to earthquakes due to active faults such as the Lembang, and Baribis Faults. This study aims to analyze the differences in base shear, displacement, and inter-story drift between the two structural systems using response spectrum analysis, and evaluate the seismic performance level based on ATC-40 guidelines. The research methodology involved modeling an 11-story hotel building in ETABS v.18.1.0 with two scenarios: fixed-base and base- isolated models analyzed by response spectra. The base isolation system uses High Damping Rubber Bearings (HDRB). The main parameters analyzed include base shear, and inter-story deviation. The results show that base isolation significantly reduces base shear. For example, by response spectrum analysis, the base shear is reduced by 54.5% in the X direction and 56.3% in the Y direction compared to the fixed-base system. Base isolation effectively reduced the average inter-storey deviation by 68% in the X direction and 73% in the Y direction. Based on ATC-40, both fixed-base and base-isolated structures achieved the "Immediate Occupancy (IO)" performance level in all analyses, showing minimal structural and non-structural damage, allowing the building to continue functioning after the earthquake

Abstract

Technological advancements in the construction industry have encouraged the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a digital approach in project implementation. This study discusses the implementation of BIM in calculating work volumes (Quantity Takeoff/QTO) and project scheduling by considering labor fluctuations through resource leveling analysis. The objective of this research is to compare QTO results between BIM and conventional methods, as well as to analyze labor requirements and project duration. This research uses a case study method on the superstructure phase of a building project. The comparison results show a difference in work volumes between the BIM and conventional methods, namely 8.98% for reinforcement work, 13.23% for concrete casting, and 8.57% for formwork. Based on these findings, this study provides a quantitative overview of the differences between the conventional and BIM-based methods in terms of work volume. Further studies are recommended using more diverse case objects and a broader scope of construction work.

Abstract

Indonesia is located in the ring of fire and at the convergence of three tectonic plates, making it highly prone to earthquakes. This study aims to evaluate the seismic performance of the Presisi 3 Building at the Indonesian National Police Headquarters and determine its performance level based on displacement. The analysis was carried out using the response spectrum, equivalent static, and pushover methods with ETABS 18.1. The results indicate variations in maximum displacement and drift across the three methods. The pushover analysis produced a performance point with a base shear of 56,270.2575 kN and displacement of 461.685 mm in the x-direction, as well as a base shear of 49,926.4545 kN and displacement of 565.955 mm in the y-direction. According to ATC-40 and FEMA-440, the building’s performance level is categorized as Immediate Occupancy (IO), indicating that the structure remains safe and functional after an earthquake.Keywords: Displacement, Equivalent Static, Inter-story Drift, Pushover, Response Spectrum.
