Abstract

Indonesia has decided to hold simultaneous local elections on December 9, 2020, even though the country and the rest of the world still face the COVID-19 pandemic. The local election stages have begun in June 2020 by forming a unit to update data of voters and socialize how to hold the elections during the pandemic. This paper aims to build communication strategies in socializing how to hold the elections during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results were obtained using the survey method involving 440 respondents in Denpasar in September 2020. The communication strategy is a combination of offline and online mediums. Despite a policy to stay at home, data shows that residents of Denpasar still needed offline mediums such as billboards and banners. In addition, they also searched for information about the election through printed advertisements and television advertisements. To ensure the smooth socialization of election process, the General Election Commission (KPU) in Denpasar uses accounts in social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook in collaboration with parties that have a large number of followers or mass media that have accounts in social media with a large number of followers. However, almost all respondents do not follow the official account of KPU Denpasar. Uniquely, in Denpasar, some potential voters still rely on community leaders and figures in searching for information about the local election. To that end, to build communication strategies, these community leaders and figures should be involved. Data also show that online meeting like zoom, google meet, or Webex meeting is not sufficient.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui budaya informasi pada siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkapkan dan menjelaskan secara deskriptif mengenai budaya informasi pada siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Khususnya pada siswa pendidikan luar biasa di provinsi Bali. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan stratified random sampling. Jumlah sampel yang diteliti berasal dari sekolah penyelenggara pendidikan luar di provinsi Bali, yakni SLB Negeri 1 Denpasar, SLB Negeri 1 Singaraja dan SLB Negeri 1 Tabanan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan ditentukan sebanyak 152 responden. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran mengenai budaya informasi yang dimulai dengan cara mendapatkan informasi, mengolah informasi hingga memanfaatkan informasi untuk pengambilan keputusan pada siswa berkebutuhan khusus.Kata kunci: budaya informasi, siswa berkebutuhan khusus, sekolah luar biasaABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the information culture for students with special needs. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research with survey approaching. This research attempts to reveal and explain descriptively about the information culture for students with special needs. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. The number of samples studied originated from extraordinary schools in the bali province, namely are SLB Negeri 1 Denpasar, SLB 1 Singaraja and SLB 1 Tabanan . Based on the results of calculations determined as many as 152 respondents. This study provides an overview of the information culture that begins with how to obtain information, process information to utilize information for decision making on students with special needs.Keywords: information culture, students with special needs, extraordinary schools

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development trend of community satisfaction with the performance of the Gianyar Regency government, especially health services and social welfare services in the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a survey research conducted to the Gianyar community regarding the Community Satisfaction Index on the performance of the Gianyar Regency government. This research uses measuring tools and indicators of the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Number 14 of 2017 concerning Guidelines for the Survey of Community Satisfaction on Public Service Delivery. The results showed that the indicators of time and complaint handling showed a low trend compared to other elements. The time indicator shows a score of 3.015 and the complaint handling indicator shows a score of 3.04. In general, the Community Satisfaction Index on Government Performance is good with an average score of 78.29.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the productivity of lecturers at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University in a span of 10 years (2012–2021). The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The results of this study proved that from 54 lecturers, 40 lecturers were found to have lecturer profile accounts on the Google Scholar website with a total publication of 940 journal articles. Lecturer productivity based on Lotka's Law gets an exponent value (n) 0.0050 with a value (C) 0.0350. This shows that the percentage of lecturers who contribute 2 articles to the lecturer profile on google scholar is on the observation results of 5%, while in the calculation of Lotka's theoretical value is 3.59%. After conducting the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, it was found that Dmax was greater than the critical value (0.8834 > 0.2150). Based on these results, it was found that there was a significant difference between the theoretical value of Lotka Law and the results of observations in journals indexed by google scholar in the FISIP lecturer profile for 2012–2021.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini berangkat dari permasalahan keterbatasan metode pendampingan belajar khususnya pada kalangan siswa penyandang disabilitas tuna daksa dalam memahami mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di SLB-D YPAC Bali. YPAC Bali merupakan satu-satunya lembaga penyelenggara pendidikan bagi siswa penyandang disabilitas tuna daksa di Provinsi Bali. Masalah yang mendesak dicarikan solusi adalah ketiadaan daya dukung metode pendampingan belajar berupa alat peraga. Salah satunya terkait materi di Pelajaran PKn yaitu materi Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) dan Partisipasi Politik dalam Pemilu yang penyampaiannya masih merujuk pada metode ajar bagi siswa normal (non-berkebutuhan khusus/difabel) dan sama sekali tidak ada alat peraga bagi siswa penyandang disabilitas tuna daksa. Dropping bantuan perangkat pengajaran yang diberikan Pihak Pemerintah justru diperuntukan bagi siswa penyandang disabilitas tuna wicara, sehingga metode pembelajaran yang diberikan akhirnya tergantung sepenuhnya dari kreatifitas guru kelas masing-masing. Diakui Kepala Sekolah maupun guru pengampu mata pelajaran, mereka seringkali kesulitan dalam menjelaskan materi PKn terutama terkait soal kasus aktual yang harus dipahami oleh siswa, terlebih metode penyampaian materi harus dilaksanakan secara berulang. Bahkan pada konteks ini, banyak guru yang hanya mengejar ketuntasan materi tanpa disertai dengan adanya simulasi atau permainan melalui alat peraga tertentu yang dapat menunjang pemahaman siswa atas mata pelajaran. Padahal materi ini menjadi sangat penting mengingat terkait dengan aktualisasi atas hak-hak mereka sebagai warganegara sekaligus hidup di tengah masyarakat. Menjawab permasalahan diatas, kegiatan ini akan mengambil kelompok sasaran siswa SLB-D. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan luaran berupa metode pendampingan belajar berupa tayangan tematik yang diharapkan bisa memudahkan akses mereka dalam memahami materi ajar PkN yang penerapannya dilakukan di lingkungan pendidikan formal yaitu SLB-D YPAC Bali.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Information literacy is generally interpreted as a standard and reference for recognizing when information is needed and the ability to find, search, analyze, evaluate and communicate information. Mastery of information plays an important role because technology and information are so easily accessible and used anytime and anywhere. The purpose of this study was to determine parents' understanding of digital literacy and whether foster children are proficient in digital literacy. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods by collecting data from observations, interviews, and documentation. This study discusses the role of foster parents in children's digital literacy at Pondok Kasih Bali. The population of this research is foster parents. The results of this study indicate that children in Pondok Kasih Bali carry out digital literacy activities but are still not effective due to several obstacles such as inadequate facilities, for the role of foster parents in Pondok Kasih Bali they also play an important role in children's curiosity - pretty tall kid. Abstract

Technological improvements have made library collections also make efforts to preserve collections by digitizing them. Collection digitization is an effort to preserve information in the library. Digitization is carried out based on consideration of the type and criteria of the collection, such as collections that are no longer published or are rare. The purpose of this study is to determine the process of digitization at UPT. Gadjah Mada Library. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Selected informants know the data related to research in accordance with the principles, considerations and criteria of purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques also use observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the UPT. The Gadjah Mada University Library preserves rare collections by digitizing them. Digitization was carried out on as many as 33 thousand rare collections, and 2505 of these collections have been uploaded on the rare collections page. Annually 300 book titles have been successfully digitized. The digitization process uses different tools according to the level of fragility with the flow of capturing images, editing, and uploading 10 pages per book title. This digitization is able to answer the problem of preserving collections so that it is useful for the academic community to the general public who wish to gain knowledge related to rare collections.

Abstract

This research analyzes how promotional strategies are implemented by UPT. Gadjah Mada University Library via social media Instagram. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling technique. The aim is to understand the use of the Instagram platform as a medium for promoting library services to users. Data was obtained through interviews with the head of library services, library staff, library users and analysis of content uploaded to Instagram accounts. Results indicate promotional strategies, including educational content, collection information, and promotion of events and services. This research illustrates the significance of Instagram as an effective tool in expanding the reach of library promotions. This research is expected to provide insight for UPT. Gadjah Mada University Library and similar institutions in optimizing the use of social media for service promotion. Keywords: Technology, Instagram, Users, Promotion, Library.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of student digital literacy mastery on the use of the INSTKI ELibrary. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method approach. Quantitative is a process to find knowledge by using data in the form of numbers as a tool to find information. Research data obtained from primary data and secondary data. Data analysis techniques in this study used validity tests, reliability tests, descriptive data analysis and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package Social Science) software. The results of this study state that there is a significant influence between Student Digital Literacy Mastery on the Utilization of the INSTKI E-Library.

Abstract

Information literacy is a critical skill for all students, including those with disabilities, to access and utilize knowledge effectively. This study explored the information literacy practices of students with disabilities and developed a tailored information literacy model to address their unique needs. Conducted at the State Special School of 1 Bengkulu, Indonesia (Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri 1 Bengkulu), this research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, with participants including students with disabilities and their educators. The study revealed that students heavily rely on teachers for accessing information, utilizing sources such as books, libraries, the internet, and museums. However, their information literacy skills remain underdeveloped due to challenges associated with their disabilities. Based on these findings, the study proposed a model designed to enhance information literacy by guiding students in identifying, searching, evaluating, and effectively using information. This model aims to foster greater independence and adaptability in accessing and processing information, contributing to equitable education outcomes for students with disabilities.
