Abstract

Jawara used to a ‘santri’ (student at traditional Muslim school), an apprentice of a ‘kiayi’ (teacher of Islam) who had supernatural and divine power, who fought against the colonial in Banten. Furthermore, they also became bandit because of their bad behavior in which they brought about criminal and violence to the society around them. Later on, they became the sub-culturalism which grow in Banten. Unfortunately, this situation was benefited by Golkar (Labor Class) Party as the mass mobilize machine for the sake of New Order Regime. In the other hand, it gave advantage toward Jawara to experience political realm there so that they could absolutely access entire local sources with their great attempts. When there was the Reformation Era, followed by policies about decentralization and local autonomy which made Banten became new province, it automatically gave opportunity to Jawara having role more active and unhampered in local government of Banten. Having possessed significant role in the Banten province establishment, Jawara recently owns crucial role local government bureaucracy by being a number one person as a governor there. This study is done to reveal “How did Jawara evolve from being a bandit into local official and control Banten Governance?” To answer such a question, the researcher implements theoretical framework that is theory of social alteration and jawara’s evolution. Moreover, the researcher employs qualitative method by historic descriptive approach as the research methodology. The method of data collecting is interview technique, documentation study, monitoring, and observation.The findings of this research reveal that Jawara carry out evolution through 2 factors. The first is that the actors (Jawara) change in which they have an ability to do various things, i.e. acceleration in building Jawara interrelation, acceleration through organization training, acceleration in individual competition, heading toward culture and belief principles, participation in Banten Province establishment, and using violence as power instrument. The second is the emergence of structural alteration. This change gives greater opportunity to penetrate into the society and local government so that they can access their power in candidacy as a Vice Governor of Banten at 2001 and afford to consolidate local politic there that ultimately became Governor of Banten in the period of 2006 until 2011. However, this structural alteration succeeds to be a supporter in evaluation process of Jawara. Indeed, the actors ability have definitely the one which can consolidate back his role in Banten. The second of factors interact become power of informality government Jawara, that work in illegal structure expression shadow state.Key words: Jawara, social Evolution, aktor alteration, Structural Change

Abstract

ABSTRACT Parking is a common problem in many area, but parking as one of potential incomes parking is not manage well. Badung Regency as one of potential tourism areas in Bali, especially in Kuta district also face the difficulty in which the volume of vehicles are not balance with the parking lot. Research method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative. To collect the data, the researcher did the field observation and deep interview with the interviewees who to know the information about the parking retribution management and public empowerment in Kuta district. The result from this research are : first, LPM Kuta as parking organizer get profit from parking retribution where by parking retribution that they got, LPM can empowering the people and The Department of transportation, communication and informatics as a coordinator, facilities and infrastructure provider and supervisory management. Second, there are some problems such as parking officer’s fraudulence. The parking officers toke the return by increasing the parking fees and not gave the parking ticket. Third, the income from parking retribution already use by the LPM to empowering the society but still less optimal on empowered the disability. Hopefully, by this research both the government and LPM can monitoring the parking management in field and the disability get the special treat Key words: society empowerment, cooperation, parking retribution

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to get the actual picture about Simantri's Program evaluation at Kintamani's district, Bangli The method of this research is qualitative comparability to understand how simantri have differences in results between Abuan and Mengani. To collect the data this research use interview, observation, and documents. The result founded in this research which is, performing failing Programs Simantri at Mengani village because of some factor which is, lack of farmer group participations, communication that insufficiently effective among associate and farmer's group member, so the knowledge, attitude, and farmer member action in activity performing programs still less according to working procedure which be applied. Abstract

ABSTRACT   Political parties is a means or a place for the community to achieve power in government. One political party in Indonesia is still showing its existence until now is the PDI-P. Bali province is one of the strong base PDI-P. The power of PDI-P not only be seen in the central government in Bali but also in all regency in Bali. Klungkung regency is one of districts in Bali that showed the dominance of PDI-P. It can be seen with the victory of PDI-P in local elections and legislative elections. But in 2013, PDI-P was defeat in Klungkung elections. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the defeat causes of PDI-P in Klungkung regency election in 2013. The theory used is the Theory of Symbolic Interaction with the approach changes the meaning of a symbol of a political party. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study found that, PDI-P defeat in the election of 2013 was influenced by internal and external causes. The determining candidates late from DPP PDI-P, less solid political machine PDI-P that does not fully support the decision of the DPP PDI-P, and there are cadres are disappointed because it failed to become a candidate recommended by the DPP followed by supporters who ultimately did not choose PDI-P became the main cause of the internal side. In external side the ownership of cooperative from other candidates, incompatibility of candidates that determined PDIP with community's desire, and and the emergence of issues discrimination another candidate that gave rise to fanaticism of regionalism is a major cause of the external side. In this study concluded that Klungkung society is now more pragmatism in selecting candidates such as see figure and vision and mission that brought in compare the political party in the election. Abstract

ABSTRACK Multiculturalism that occurred in the village kusamba to explain how the public perception of the village kusamba to the meaning of the politics of multiculturalism in klungkung, revealed how the patterns of relationship Muslim-Hindu of Bali. Perception in the village Kusamba be classified into three parts, namely, the public perception among the elite, the public perception among the middle and the public perception of society, common perception has the classified into three parts to know how the difference, justice and equality of each of the public perception in home village kusamba and village kusamba to the meaning of the politics of multiculturalism that happened. As a step a theoretical, this study uses the theory of multiculturalism which was said to be an amplifier to create the harmony among religious in the village of Kusamba who have the diversity of culture and religion. the religious harmony the village kusamba not only on tolerance, but.equality of all elements of society that materialized in the whole social, cultural, even in the political space. The method used in this study is the method of qualitative descriptive, while the techniques of collecting data through interviews, study documentation and analysis of documents. In the analysis of the findings in the field showed that there are differences and similarities to the public perception in the village kusamba and the values of multiculturalism that is embedded in generations and how a society able to cling to tolerance has been undertaken for a long time until today. Abstract

ABSTRACT Political party’s actor and elite calculation are undivided element on politics process.  Which is the political party as the main pilar in demokratic system, and utilities of power and governs, also the elit position playing the good roleand directing the legislation.  Which is taken by this reseach named the role of political party and elite calculation toward coalition characteristic on study case of joint election at Bali 2015.  People’s unknowing about process of candidating and forming of coalition which having a privat tendency. The metodh which used in the reseach is qualitative reseach with case comparative, with the case would been researching are election on Tabanan and Karangasem regency. As the foreword theories which use for the structure of reseach it using the coalition theory, elite theory, and rational choise theory and some reseach found which are the political intentions as the basic coalition forming in election.  The candidate having a connection with using as the consideration of party’s action in high level with dominant acts such big political party that given a relative freedom under their lower structure, however, the little party giving the more freedom for the local level in the districts. Abstract

ABSTRACT Slank is a band or musician who has a huge influence on his fans in Indonesia. Not many bands have as much fan base as Slank. The research entitled "Music Hegemony and Slank Lifestyle in Building Slankers' Loyalty" aims to provide an explanation of how the practice of hegemony can occur between Slank and Slankers, so that loyalty is created. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with in-depth interviews. The theoretical foundation used in this study is Antonio Gramsci's theory of hegemony and Michel Foucault's theory of discourse power. Based on the analysis of the data obtained the first findings, Slank managed to hegemony the Slankers through music by entering the things they want to convey through the lyrics of Slank songs and hegemony through lifestyle by convincing Slankers that Slank has the same interests as Slankers. Second, Slank has also created a power of discourse by disseminating Slank's ideology so that the Slankers will normatively justify anything that is justified by Slank. Abstract

ABSTRACTU TheP success of Golkar in overcoming multiple management conflicts in 2014-2015 had an impact on the management of the Bali Province. This makes Golkar seen as a strong political party in the institutional system, infrastructure, and internal party mechanisms. This strength is the main attraction of the writer to analyze it with the theory of Talcott Parson Functionalism with the concept of the scheme A-G-I-LP (Adaptation,pGoal Attainment, eIntegration, land pLatency). This study uses a qualitativei descriptiveo approachi. Thep resultsi of thei studyp indicate that Golkar's success in defending itself from the shocks of party internal conflicts stemmed from the Party's strength. According to the theory used the results of the study showi thati first, thei adaptation scheme, used by Golkar as a form of the main force in maintaining existential and determining the direction of the Golkar party in the new political era. Second, the goal attainment scheme shows that Golkar's strength is based on an ideological foundation, intellectual strength, and work-oriented orientation. Butu on thei otherp handi, the strong leadership in the Golkar party plays a very important role as a driver of cadre consolidation in maintaining the existence of the party in the community. Third, Golkar in maintaining party resistance also prioritizes the consistency of cadres in framing a good party platform as its Integrity. And fourth, Golkar in identifying itself as an open, moderate and democratic party, so in the framework of safeguarding this, the Golkar Party continues to maintain the Pancasila ideology as the latency that underlies each of its actions and maintains its old brand, which is Golkar. Abstract

ABSTRACT Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan and I Gede Dharma Wijaya failed to win the Buleleng Local Election in 2017. They didn’t gain enough voters to defeat Putu Agus Suradnyana and I Nyoman Sutjidra, including in the Kendran Village which was the origin area of Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan and I Gede Dharma Wijaya. As the theoretical basis, this research uses votting behavior theory. This researchalso used the descriptive qualitative method. Data found in the field show that votting behavior in Kendran Village in Buleleng Local Election in 2017 is influenced by several voting behavior approaches. First, the sociological approach, the behavior of choosing the community is influenced by ethnic, religious, social class, and area of origin. Second, the psychological approach, the behavior of choosing the community is influenced by ties to candidates and ties to political parties. Third, the rational choice approach, where the behavior of choosing people is influenced by identification based on consideration of profit and loss. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the psychological approach and the rational choice approach were the dominant factor of kendran’s votting behavior. Abstract

ABSTRACT PDIP is a party with a long history in Indonesia especially in Bali, but the depreciation in PDIP's performance in Bali in the past few years questioning the existence of PDIP in Bali. To maintaining the existence of the party, PDIP comes with one of its strategies, One Island One Management. This study uses a qualitative method, where interviews, documentation and literature is uses as the data collection techniques. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, with respondents are Koster-Ace campaign team from PDIP.The results of the study suggest that PDIP uses the One Island One Management political strategy which then correlates with the mapping strategy in the form of mapping the political power of PDIP in Bali as a winning strategy where this strategy brings PDIP to victory in the governor election and wins 57.68% of the votes. One Island One Management is one of the important aspects for PDIP as a goal of building a more prosperous Bali while gaining a dominating mass base by making Bali management and governance managed by PDIP both from the regions and at the center, namely Governor. In order to realize this idea PDIP carried out a mapping strategy that was used so that it succeeded in transforming the masses into voices and pairs carried out by PDIP namely Koster-Ace won the Bali Pilgub in 2018 .
