Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of entrepreneurial literacy possessed by urban fariming entrepreneurs in the city of Makassar, especially in the Orchid Women Farmer Group located in the Bara-Baraya sub-district, Makassar district and the implementation of entrepreneurial literacy in agricultural activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods collected using three techniques namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Then to determine the sample in this study using the purposive sampling method with the provisions of criteria, namely: (1) joined in the Women’s Group of Orchid Farmers; (2) is an important part (top) in the organizational structure; (3) knows the ins and outs of the Women’s Group of Orchid Farmers so as to be able to provide information that can represent; (4) domiciled in the city of Makassar. After exploring, it was found the the Women’s Group of Orchid Farmers in general already have entrepreneurial literacy and knowledge releted to entrepreneurship has been implemented in their farming activities although it is not optimal because not all members have and understand entrepreneurial literacy. Keywords: entrepreneurial literacy, urban farmer, makassar city

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of positive psychological capital and growth mindset on individual well-being and educational consumption expenditure patterns in farming households in Selayar Islands Regency, both through direct and indirect influences. This study used a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. The study population included farmers in Bontomanai, Benteng, and Buki Districts, with the sample determined through purposive sampling technique based on the criteria of farming households with school-age children. Data collection was conducted using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire, while data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results showed that positive psychological capital and growth mindset had a positive and significant effect on individual well-being and household educational consumption expenditure patterns. In addition, individual well-being was proven to have a significant effect on educational consumption expenditure patterns and acted as a mediating variable in the relationship between positive psychological capital and growth mindset and educational consumption expenditure patterns. These findings confirm that strengthening the psychological aspects of farming families plays a crucial role in improving individual well-being and supporting the sustainability of educational investment amidst economic constraints.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian daerah, namun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam hal pengelolaan keuangan, inovasi, serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital yang optimal. Kondisi ini berdampak pada keterbatasan daya saing dan efektivitas kinerja usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi keuangan dan pembayaran digital terhadap kinerja UMKM dengan inovasi usaha sebagai variabel intervening di Kecamatan Tamalate, Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Partial Least Squares (PLS) melalui aplikasi SmartPLS 4.0. Data dikumpulkan dari 368 pelaku UMKM yang bergerak di sektor perdagangan, kuliner, dan jasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan dan pembayaran digital berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap inovasi usaha dan kinerja UMKM. Inovasi usaha juga berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja UMKM serta memediasi hubungan antara literasi keuangan dan pembayaran digital dengan kinerja UMKM. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan literasi keuangan dan optimalisasi sistem pembayaran digital dapat memperkuat kapasitas inovasi, yang pada akhirnya mendorong peningkatan kinerja dan keberlanjutan UMKM di era ekonomi digital.
