Abstract

The background of this research stems from the conditions that have occurred at the Al Akbar foundation orphanage since the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the last two years had an impact on the Social Welfare Institution in Pekanbaru so that the donors who initially regularly helped slowly stopped donating. This study aims to find out how the Al Akbar Foundation's public relations strategy in overcoming the conditions caused by Covid-1. As a public relations orphanage, operational institutions certainly need a good communication strategy between parties in overcoming the effects of Covid-19. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The methodology used includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and depiction. From the results of the study, it is known that the strategy implemented by public relations in overcoming the conditions due to covid 19 can run well, because it applies the first four strategies of the operational strategy approach; both approaches to strategy responsibility; the third is a persuasive and educative strategic approach, and the last is a cooperative strategy approach. Basically the strategy can be implemented by public relations but needs to be improved on a cooperative strategy approach. Due to the presence of covid-19 as donors stopped providing assistance, but problems can be overcome with the responsibility of public relations to maintain harmonious relationships resulting in new collaborations with new prospective donors for a better future at the Al Akbar orphanage.

Abstract

Beberapa tahun terakhir ini kejahatan terhadap orang dewasa maupun anak-anak semakin meningkat baik kualitas dan kuantitasnya. Kejahatan terhadap anak di Indonesia tidak dapat dihindari karena korban nya semakin hari semakin meningkat,kejahatan terhadap anak juga beragam mulai dari kekerasan,eksploitasi dan salah satu yang paling menyita perhatian adalah Pemerkosaan Perkosaan merupakan salah satu kejahatan yang akhir-akhir ini sering diberitakan baik melalui koran, majalah maupun media massa lainnya yang mengalami peningkatan relatif cukup serius. Tindak pidana perkosaan tidak hanya dilakukan oleh orang dewasa dan anak sebagai korbannya, tetapi juga dilakukan oleh anak dan anak juga sebagai korbannya. Tindak pidana perkosaan sangat memcemaskan terlebih kalau korbannya adalah anak-anak yang masih di bawah umur, sebab hal ini akan mempengaruhi psikologis perkembangan anak dan menimbulkan trauma seumur hidupnya. Selain itu masa depan mereka menjadi suram dan mereka tidak mempunyai masa depan lagi.

Abstract

Critical reading requires advanced cognitive skills to evaluate, interpret, and analyse texts effectively. However, mastering critical reading can be challenging, especially for learners, due to factors such as vocabulary gaps, cultural differences, and diverse educational backgrounds. This study aimed to explore learners' perspectives on the implementation of digital annotation in enhancing their critical reading skills. This was descriptive qualitative research. Total sampling technique was applied in choosing the sample which involving sixteen eleventh-grade students from a private Islamic senior high school. The data were collected by using a questionnaire developed through Google Forms and it were analysed by reducing, displaying, and drawing conclusion which adopted from a three-step qualitative data analysis.The findings revealed that the use of digital annotation tools was perceived positively by students, as it facilitated better comprehension of reading materials, eased the acquisition of new vocabulary, encouraged critical thinking, and supported the generation of new ideas. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, such as difficulty in articulating critical thoughts in writing, challenges in interpreting feedback notes, unstable internet connectivity, limited digital skills and supporting resources, digital distractions, and confusion caused by excessive annotations from multiple perspectives. In conclusion, learners had a generally positive attitude toward digital annotation despite facing implementation barriers. Therefore, educators are encouraged to integrate digital annotation thoughtfully, considering students’ digital literacy, technological access, and regional educational contexts to ensure effective and inclusive learning.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bimbingan dalam meningkatkan komunikasi untuk metode belajar tahfidz di Pendidikan  Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah (PDTA) Nurul Yaqin Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat(PkM) ini adalah dengan dua sesi tahapan. Tahapan pertama memberikan materi dan cara metode komunikasi belajar cepat tahfidz  adalah dan sesi tahapan kedua adalah praktik  dilakukan pada anak anak di pesantren Nurul Yaqin Pekanbaru. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dan perubahan yang baik untuk anak anak di PDTANurul Yaqin. Peningkatan komunikasi untuk metode belajar tahfidz di Nurul Yaqin yang sering digunakan adalah menggunakan 5 metode  yaitu muraja’ah, takraran, talaqqi, musyafahah,bin nazar.  Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif setelah dilakukan bimbingan  dan  komunikasi guru dan anak anak pesantren meningkat setelah dilakukan evaluasi.
