Abstract

PT Strawberry Corps Indonesia is one of the micro-scale MSMEs that has been incorporated as an Individual Company (PT). This research raises several issues, namely what are the risks that have the potential to arise, how to assess the level of risk, and what is the right mitigation strategy to deal with risks. This research aims to identify and determine potential risks, assess priority risks, and provide appropriate mitigation plans to overcome the risks contained in PT Strawberry Corps Indonesia. The method used is the Failure Mode and Effect Analisys (FMEA) method. There are 16 risk events contained in all stages of strawberry processed production activities. The highest risk falls into the Intolerable category with an RPN value of 448, and the lowest risk falls into the Broadly Acceptable category with an RPN value of 6. There are several risk mitigation plans related to the cause of the risk, namely: facilitating farmers to get education through cooperation with PPL and the Agriculture Office, coordinating or contracting with suppliers, recruiting part-time labor, maintaining the quality of raw materials by setting quality standards for raw materials, storing raw materials at a temperature of - 18°C and conducting routine checks on the cleanliness of equipment and production rooms before production.

Abstract

Social forestry refers to a forest management approach that grants lawful access to local communities for the sustainable use and stewardship of forest resources. This initiative aims to enhance local livelihoods while ensuring long-term environmental integrity. In Glagalinggah Village, the implementation of this program encounters several challenges, particularly in institutional and business governance aspects. These limitations hinder the performance of Forest Farmer Groups (KTH), which in turn obstruct the continuity of business operations and forest rehabilitation efforts. This research investigates the influence of institutional and business governance on KTH performance and the effectiveness of social forestry management. Employing a quantitative approach with SEM-PLS analysis, data were gathered from 70 KTH members. The findings reveal that while both types of governance significantly influence KTH performance, their direct impact on forest management effectiveness is not significant, establishing KTH performance as a full mediating variable. Business governance issues such as low member participation, limited access to capital, and insufficient technological application emerge as the primary barriers. The study highlights the need to strengthen governance capacity to improve group performance and ensure sustainable forest management outcomes. These insights can support local-level policy planning for more effective social forestry programs.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the characteristics of visitors to PT Bali Coklat Junglegold Bali and analyze the influence of price, product quality, and brand image on consumer satisfaction through purchase decision. This research employed a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). A sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive sampling from visitors who had made repeated purchases. The results show that price, product quality, and brand image have a significant influence on purchase decision. Purchase decision also significantly affects consumer satisfaction. However, the mediation test indicates that purchase decision does not mediate the relationship between the independent variables and consumer satisfaction. These findings suggest that while these factors drive purchase decision, the indirect pathway does not significantly contribute to enhancing consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a high value horticultural crop that plays an important role in Indonesia’s food sector. Its cultivation is highly affected by climatic factors, especially rainfall. In 2021, crop failure occurred in Abiansemal Subdistrict due to adverse weather. This study analyzes the relationship between rainfall and cayenne pepper productivity in the area. A quantitative method was used to assess rainfall impact, while qualitative data explored farming challenges. Primary data were collected through interviews with farmers and extension officers. Secondary data on production and harvested area were obtained from the Department of Agriculture and Food of Badung Regency, and rainfall data from BMKG’s Automatic Rainfall Gauge (ARG) in Abiansemal. Spearman correlation analysis using SPSS showed a strong negative correlation between rainfall and productivity (r = -0.900). Excessive rainfall likely led to waterlogging, root damage, and increased disease risk, contributing to yield decline. These results underscore the importance of climate aware farming practices and provide a useful reference for improving the resilience of cayenne pepper production.

Abstract

Abstract

Monoculture rice farming in subak institutions faces multidimensional risks that can threaten production stability and farmers' cash flow, yet empirical prioritization of these risks at the subak institutional level remains limited. This study aims to identify and prioritize risks in monoculture rice farming in Subak Munggu, Balı, using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Primary data were collected through structured in-depth interviews and questionnaires from 30 purposively selected farmers supported by relevant secondary sources Qualitative information was used to compile and validate risk events and rak agents, while quantitative S-O-D scoring (1-10) was applied to calculate Risk Prionty Numbers (RPN) and determine priority risks The analysis identified eight risk events (E1-E8) and twelve risk agents (A1-A12) The highest priority rak agent was demand fluctuations (A1) with RPN 490, the only factor classified in the red (intolerable) zone followed by erratic weather and climate (A4 RPN 342), human error in cultivation and input use (A9 RPN 276) declining government subsidies (A10, RPN 224), and pests and diseases (AS RPN 236) Risk mapping indicates that most risks fall within the ALARP category with one dominant intolerable risk that may control overall business stability These findings imply that mitigation should prioritize market-demand rak management and its upstream linkages to seed and input procurement, alongside climate-adaptive practices and institutional strengthening to reduce exposure in monoculture systems in subak.

Abstract

Consumers' Willingness to Pay for C4 pulen rice produced by UD. Ratih in Bali is analyzed in this study, aiming to identify consumer characteristics and market segmentation, calculate WTP values, and evaluate influencing factors. Employing a quantitative approach with the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and SEM-PLS, data were collected from 100 UD. Ratih consumers through questionnaires and interviews. The findings reveal that consumers are predominantly young (20-24 years), highly educated (59%), with middle income (IDR 3,000,000-IDR 5,000,000), and no family dependents (53%). The highest WTP was recorded for 10 kg packaging (IDR 2,417/kg), with consumer income as the most significant factor (p=0.000), followed by product price (p=0.000) and product quality (p=0.004). The quality of C4 rice—such as its softness and aroma—is a major attraction, although market competition and price fluctuations remain challenges. This study recommends marketing strategies that highlight local quality and utilize digital-based promotions to expand market reach.
