Abstract

AbstrakKurikulum 2013 yang menuntut untuk dapat mengintegrasikan kearifan atau potensi yang ada di daerah, sehingga diperlukan sebuah bahan ajar yang mendukung yaitu bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal. Salah satu kearifan lokal yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam proses pembelajaran adalah Ekowisata Mangrove Pangkal Babu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa modul elektronik berbasis Ekowisata Mangrove Pangkal Babu yang valid. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development), dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE akan tetapi hanya sampai tahapan pengembangan (Development). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kelayakan modul elektronik aspek bahasa didapatkan dari validator bahasa dengan rata-rata 4,28 termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak, tingkat kelayakan media dengan rata-rata 4,58 termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak, tingkat kelayakan materi dengan rata-rata 4,59 termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Sedangkan hasil dari validasi praktisi dengan rata-rata 4,49 termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Serta keterbacaan modul elektronik bagi siswa dengan rata-rata 3,92 termasuk kategori baik, dan keterpakaian modul elektronik dengan rata 3,81 termasuk kategori baiki. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan modul elektronik berbasis ekowisata mangrove pangkal babu menggunakan aplikasi 3D PageFlip Professional layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. .Kata Kunci: Modul elektronik, 3d pageflip professional, Ekowisata mangrove, Sekolah dasar.AbstractThe 2013 curriculum demands to be able to integrate the existing wisdom or potential in the region, so we need a supporting teaching material, namely teaching materials based on local wisdom. One of the local wisdoms that can be integrated into the learning process is Pangkal Babu Mangrove Ecotourism. This study aims to produce valid teaching materials in the form of an electronic module based on Pangkal Babu Mangrove Ecotourism. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development), using the ADDIE development model but only up to the development stage. The results of this study indicate that the feasibility level of the electronic module in the language aspect is obtained from the language validator with an average of 4.28 which is in the very feasible category, the media feasibility level with an average of 4.58 is in the very feasible category, the material feasibility level is an average of 4.59 is in the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the results of the practitioner's validation with an average of 4.49 were in the very feasible category. As well as the readability of the electronic module for students with an average of 3.92 in the good category, and the usability of the electronic module with an average of 3.81 in the good category. The results of this study can be concluded that the development of an electronic module based on mangrove ecotourism pangkal babu using the 3D PageFlip Professional application is feasible for use in the learning process in grade IV of elementary school.Keywords: Electronic module, professional 3d pageflip, mangrove ecotourism, elementary school.

Abstract

The shifting of offline to online classroom during Covid-19 Outbreak arose classroom management issues, especially in rural areas. From that point, this study aims to investigate pre-service language teachers’ perceptions on managing online classrooms.  Those respondents were five third graders in a university in Garut, West Java who were conducting pre-service teaching programs.  To achieve the goal of this study, qualitative research in the form of a case study design was employed. The data were collected using semi-structured interview.  The data were then analyzed using Creswell ‘s inductive analysis framework (2012) framed by the theory of classroom management from (Simonsen at al, 2014). As the result, teachers viewed that having a good classroom management is a must. Yet, they still needed to upgrade their self-concept as the teachers, as well as knowledge and skills in managing online classes; paying attention on the classroom conduciveness, translating the lesson plan into online teaching practice, as well as considering the quantity and quality of the task. The practical implication of this study is that relevant trainings may be addressed to pre-service teachers before they came to schools. Specifically, those trainings should cover the self-concept of pre-service teachers regarding their pedagogical competences, technological literacy, as well as the belief as the prospective teachers at the very first place.

Abstract

Karya sastra tercipta karena adanya pengalaman batin pengarang berupa peristiwa atau problem dunia yang menarik sehingga muncul gagasan imajinasi yang dituangkan dalam bentuk tulisan dan karya sastra. Karya sastra menyumbangkan tata nilai, figur, dan tatanan tuntutan masyarakat. Hal ini merupakan ikatan timbal balik antara karya sastra dengan masyarakat, walaupun karya sastra tersebut berupa fiksi, tetapi pada kenyataannya, sastra juga mampu memberikan manfaat yang berupa nilai-nilai moral bagi pembacanya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analis menggunakan teori Roland Barthes, setelah dikaji dalam perspektif leksis hermeneutik, proaretik, simbolik, gnomik, semik, karakter Raihana digambarkan sebagai wanita tabah dalam novel memenuhi kriteria sikap kritis seorang istri yang menemukan kejanggalan dalam sikap suami. Usaha-usaha yang dilakukan oleh Raihana untuk menyadarkan suaminya juga sudah tepat. Hal yang tidak relevan dengan feminisme dalam diri Raihana sebagai sosok wanita solehah yang digambarkan dalam novel terletak pada keinginannya untuk tidak bercerai dan tidak mengadukan permasalahannya pada hakim. Hal ini membuat kesengsaraan dalam pernikahannya selama hayatnya

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui opini Republika dan Kompas yang ditinjau dari teori Fairclough. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan, identitas, praktik wacana, dan peran wartawan dalam menampilkan konteks sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis konten kualitatif. Sumber data, diambil dengan purposive sampling, masing-masing 10 berita. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan mencari, menentukan, dan merekam data. Teknik pengolahan data dengan seleksi, persiapan, penomoran, klasifikasi, analisis, dan penutup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Republika secara tersembunyi, sementara Kompas menyebutkan nama dan mendukung partai tertentu. Wacana Republika tidak meminggirkan peserta secara langsung. Sementara Kompas meminggirkan peserta, menggunakan bahasa sensasional dan mengarahkan pada sesuatu. Peran wartawan dalam konteks sosial Republika tidak memprovokasi, sementara Kompas secara langsung menuntut pembaca untuk melakukan sesuatu. Jadi, penyampaian berita di Kompas dan Republika memiliki ciri khas tersendiri sesuai dengan visi misinya. Kata kunci: Fairclough, Kesehatan, Konteks Sosial, Pandemi, Wacana

Abstract

Reading comprehension is an essential competence in learning Indonesian, especially in understanding narrative texts. However, some students still experience difficulties in comprehending explicit and implicit meanings and in evaluating the content of texts. These problems indicate the need for studies that analyze students’ reading comprehension based on cognitive levels. This study aims to analyze the level of reading comprehension ability of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Cibalong in narrative texts based on Barrett’s Taxonomy and to describe the characteristics of students’ comprehension at each level. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The subjects consisted of 32 students from class VII D selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a written test consisting of five essay questions representing the literal, reorganization, inferential, evaluative, and appreciative levels. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques by calculating scores, mean values, and percentage categories of students’ abilities. The results showed that the students’ average score was 80, which falls into the Good category. A total of 43.75% of students were in the Very Good category, 34.38% in the Good category, and 21.88% in the Fair category. The highest achievement was found at the literal and reorganization levels, while variations in ability were still observed at the inferential, evaluative, and appreciative levels. These findings indicate the need to strengthen learning activities that emphasize the development of critical and reflective thinking skills. Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill that plays an important role in supporting elementary students’ learning achievement. However, some students still experience difficulties in understanding explicit and implicit meanings and in evaluating the content of reading texts. This condition indicates the need for a systematic analysis of students’ reading comprehension based on cognitive levels. This study aims to describe the reading comprehension ability of fifth-grade students at SDN Merarmukti based on Barrett’s Taxonomy, to identify the distribution of students’ abilities at each level, and to determine the dominant and weakest levels of comprehension. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The subjects consisted of 15 fifth-grade students who were selected using total sampling. Data were collected through a written test in the form of essay questions covering five levels of Barrett’s Taxonomy: literal, reorganization, inferential, evaluative, and appreciative. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques by calculating scores, final grades, and percentage categories of students’ abilities. The results showed that 53.33% of students were in the Very Good category, 6.67% in the Good category, 26.67% in the Fair category, and 13.33% in the Needs Improvement category. Students demonstrated strong performance at the literal and reorganization levels, while their abilities at the inferential, evaluative, and appreciative levels varied. These findings indicate the need to strengthen reading instruction that emphasizes critical thinking, discussion, and reflection. This study is expected to serve as a reference for teachers in developing more effective reading learning strategies. Abstract

This study aims to describe the reading comprehension ability of tenth-grade students at SMK As-Shofa in understanding narrative texts based on Barrett’s Taxonomy. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The population consisted of 321 students, while the sample was 24 students from class X Pharmacy A selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a reading comprehension test developed according to the five levels of Barrett’s Taxonomy: literal, reorganization, inferential, evaluation, and appreciation. The instrument was validated by Indonesian language teachers to ensure content validity. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative techniques, including scoring, percentage calculation, and categorization. The results showed that students’ reading comprehension ability was generally in the sufficient to very good category. Most students demonstrated strong performance at the literal and reorganization levels, indicating good ability to identify explicit information and organize text structure. However, their performance at the inferential, evaluative, and appreciative levels was relatively lower, suggesting limitations in critical and reflective reading skills. The distribution of scores revealed that 70.83% of students were in the sufficient category, 20.83% in the good category, and 8.33% in the very good category. These findings indicate that although basic comprehension skills are well developed, higher-order thinking skills in reading still require improvement. The application of Barrett’s Taxonomy proved effective in systematically mapping students’ reading abilities and can serve as a useful reference for improving reading instruction and assessment. Abstract

This study aims to describe the critical reading ability of third-year students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program at the Indonesian Institute of Education in understanding academic texts based on Barrett’s Taxonomy. The research employed a quantitative descriptive design with a survey approach. The participants consisted of 26 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a reading comprehension test in the form of essay questions developed according to the five levels of Barrett’s Taxonomy: literal, reorganization, inferential, evaluative, and appreciative. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by calculating scores, percentages, and categorizing students’ levels of critical reading ability. The results indicate that students’ critical reading ability falls into the good category, with an average percentage of 71.60%. The literal indicator obtained the highest score at 83.75%, followed by reorganization (77.00%) and inferential (71.25%). The evaluative and appreciative indicators showed lower scores of 65.50% and 60.50%, respectively. The distribution of scores reveals that 38.46% of students were in the good category and 23.08% in the very good category, while 11.54% remained in the low category. These findings suggest that students are able to understand explicit information, draw conclusions, and evaluate texts logically; however, their reflective and appreciative abilities still need improvement. The application of Barrett’s Taxonomy proved effective in systematically mapping students’ critical reading levelsof abilities. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing more structured, contextual, and higher-order-thinking-oriented critical reading instruction in higher education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reading comprehension ability of sixth-grade students at SDN 2 Girijaya in understanding narrative texts based on Barrett’s Taxonomy. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach involving 40 students as research participants. Data were collected through a reading comprehension test covering five levels: literal, reorganization, inferential, evaluative, and appreciative. The research instrument was developed in the form of essay questions based on the indicators of Barrett’s Taxonomy. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to obtain the mean scores, percentages, and categories of students’ reading ability. The results show that students’ reading comprehension ability is in the good category, with an average score of 77.82. Students demonstrated adequate mastery of literal and reorganization aspects, while variations were found in inferential, evaluative, and appreciative aspects. Some students experienced difficulties in drawing conclusions, providing evaluations, and relating the content of the text to personal experiences. The findings indicate that reading instruction needs to be directed toward strengthening higher-order thinking skills through systematic and continuous learning strategies. The application of Barrett’s Taxonomy proved effective in mapping students’ reading comprehension abilities in a structured manner. Abstract

The digital transformation of education necessitates the integration of technology into learning processes. However, a gap persists between the potential of digital platforms and their effective implementation in partnership-based programs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pijar Sekolah application as an educational technology to support the Partnership Double System (PDS) program at SMAN 18 Garut, focusing on its effectiveness, challenges, and optimization strategies. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as documentation. The findings reveal that while Pijar Sekolah has the potential to improve learning effectiveness, strengthen school-industry collaboration, and support an integrated evaluation system, its implementation is suboptimal. Key obstacles include limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among users, resistance to change, and a lack of systematic integration with industry partners. The use of the platform remains predominantly administrative rather than pedagogical. This study concludes that the success of educational technology in a PDS context depends not only on platform availability but also on human resource competence, institutional support, and strategic integration. The implications suggest a need for targeted training, infrastructure improvement, and a systematic integration framework for school-industry partnerships.
