Abstract

Content analysis is one of the data analysis methods in qualitative research which can be applied in various fields of study. This method is known for its advantages and flexibility in analyzing various text data. By using content analysis, especially the inductive approach, this article tries to explain how to conduct and apply a qualitative content analysis to research issues that is still fragmented, such as investigating the factors of Muslim tourists' revisit intention to Lombok in the context of halal tourism. The main stages described in this paper are: open coding, recontextualization, and categorization and compilation. In addition, this article also explained how to present and interpret the data that has been analyzed. It is hoped that the explanation of this article can help other researchers who want to use inductive qualitative content analysis in the field of management and/or tourism studies, or other studies where the topics researched are still limited or fragmented. Abstract

Migrasi pekerja adalah kegiatan ekonomi yang penting bagi negara penerima maupun negara pengirim. Namun, terlepas dari manfaat yang dibawa oleh pekerja migran, terdapat banyak kerentanan dan ketidakamanan yang mereka hadapi seperti kekerasan fisik dan mental, upah tidak dibayar, perdagangan manusia, dan lainnya. Padahal, kebebasan dari rasa takut, kebebasan dari kekurangan, dan hidup dengan bermartabat adalah hak setiap pekerja tersebut sebagai seorang individu. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kerangka konsep keamanan manusia, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Indonesia dalam melindungi pekerja migrannya. Studi ini menemukan bahwa upaya pemerintah telah mencerminkan prinsip dan pendekatan keamanan manusia dalam strateginya; namun, masih banyak tantangan yang harus diatasi.

Abstract

Migration of workers is an important economic activity for both receiving and sending countries. However, apart from the benefits that migrant workers bring, there are many vulnerabilities and insecurities they face such as physical and mental violence, unpaid wages, human trafficking, and others. In fact, freedom from fear, freedom from want, and to live with dignity is the right of every worker as an individual. Using a qualitative approach and the framework of human security concept, this article aims to analyze the efforts made by the Indonesian government in protecting its migrant workers. The study found that the government efforts has demonstrated the practice of human security principles and approaches in its strategies; however, there are still many challenges that need to be addressed.

Abstract

Despite the importance of labour migration in Southeast Asia, the mechanism of migrant workers protection in the region is still lacking. Because of that, cases show that often the undocumented and/or the low-skilled workers receive inappropriate treatment in the host countries. In certain cases, they were treated as second-class citizens – this is despite the work that they do. To address these issues, ASEAN has conducted a series of dialog forums and issued various agreements. In doing so, ASEAN have been involving different key stakeholders working on the issue, including international organizations, regional and national civil society organizations, and employers’ union. Unlike mainstream study which mainly focusses on the role of member states or ASEAN in developing regional mechanisms in the region, this research highlights the strategic role of International Labour Organizations (ILO). We argue that ILO is the powerful entities (aside of the member states) behind the region’s decision to pay more serious attention to the issue. This research shows how the ASEAN member states tend to be more open towards ILO’s involvement in their issues – while, because of the region’s norms of non-interference, they usually are reluctant to take any kind of external intervention to the region. Within this context, from the three possible type of roles of international organization in international system proposed by Clive Archer, i.e. as arena, instrument or actor, this article argues that ILO plays a role more as an actor that act independently to fill the gap left by the inability (unwillingness) of ASEAN member state to provide protection to their own migrant workers.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between community participation and economic empowerment in the tourism sector using a qualitative descriptive approach and literature review. The main focus of this research is to highlight the importance of community participation at various stages of tourism development, from planning to evaluation. Community participation is crucial as it not only enhances the sense of ownership over tourism projects but also creates new job opportunities and acts as diverse sources of income for the community. By involving communities in providing tourism services—such as guiding, handicrafts, and local cuisine—they can contribute directly to the industry while preserving and promoting local wisdom. Training programs conducted for communities aim to enhance their capacity and skills, enabling them to adapt to the ever-evolving dynamics of the tourism market. Furthermore, strengthening the cultural identity of communities by introducing local values is a vital aspect of attracting tourist interest. The findings of the study indicate that active community participation positively impacts individual well-being and contributes to sustainable economic development, ensuring the benefits of tourism are distributed equally among all involved communities. This research highlights that empowering communities through active engagement at all stages of tourism development fosters resilience, supports cultural preservation, and promotes equitable economic growth, offering a sustainable model for community-based tourism initiatives.

Abstract

Pengetahuan tentang literasi keuangan pada anak usia dini sangat penting untuk membentuk kebiasaan pengelolaan yang sehat. Dengan mengajarkan konsep dasar seperti menabung, mengelola pengeluaran, bersedekah dan memahami nilai uang, anak-anak dapat mengembangkan kemampuan untuk membuat keputusan keuangan yang bijak. Pengetahuan tentang literasi keuangan di Indonesia saat ini masih jarang diterapkan, baik pada lingkungan keluarga maupun di lingkungan sekolah, khususnya untuk anak usia dini. Dalam proses pelaksanaan kegiatan, tim pengabdian masyarakat akan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan kegiatan, tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan tahap evaluasi kegiatan. Selama kegiatan, materi yang disampaikan oleh penulis dimulai dari pengenalan nominal uang, cara mengelola uang secara bijak seperti menyisihkan setengah dari uang yang diterima untuk ditabung dan menyisihkan sedikit uang untuk disumbangkan kepada yang membutuhkan. Hasil dari kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa edukasi literasi keuangan berjalan dengan baik, kegiatan diikuti oleh siswa-siswi dengan antusias.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pelatihan (Training Needs Analysis/TNA) pegawai Toko B dengan menggunakan pendekatan performance gap untuk meningkatkan kinerja organisasi. Isu-isu pokok yang diidentifikasi meliputi ketidak efektifan komunikasi antarbagian, kurangnya keterampilan dalam prosedur pelayanan dan menangani keluhan pelanggan, serta ketidaktahuan pengaturan display dan manajemen stok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode analisis kualitatif, mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dengan pegawai di berbagai bagian, observasi langsung, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya gap kinerja yang signifikan antara kinerja aktual dan kinerja yang diharapkan. Kesenjangan ini berdampak pada kualitas pelayanan pelanggan, efisiensi operasional, serta kepuasan pelanggan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, penelitian merekomendasikan pelatihan komunikasi efektif, pelayanan pelanggan yang unggul, serta manajemen stok dan display barang untuk menutup gap kinerja yang ada dan meningkatkan kinerja pegawai secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas Kelompok Pengolah dan Pemasar (Poklahsar) produk olahan ikan dalam hal perencanaan keuangan usaha. Perencanaan keuangan merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam menjaga keberlangsungan dan pengembangan usaha, khususnya bagi pelaku usaha kecil di sektor perikanan. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman dasar tentang perencanaan keuangan, mulai dari penyusunan anggaran, pencatatan pengeluaran dan pendapatan, hingga proyeksi kebutuhan modal usaha. Metode pelaksanaan berupa pemaparan materi, diskusi interaktif, serta praktik langsung menyusun rencana keuangan sederhana. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menyusun perencanaan keuangan usaha mereka secara lebih terstruktur. Diharapkan, kegiatan ini dapat mendorong Poklahsar menjadi lebih mandiri, tertib dalam pengelolaan keuangan, serta mampu mengembangkan usahanya secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

There are various social problems faced by the young generation in Montong Ajan Village, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Two of the most serious issues are the high number of early marriages and the low number of people who receive higher education due to dropping out of elementary or junior high school, or senior high school. Based on this, this community service activity aims to increase insight and understanding of the importance of education for the young generation, especially students of SMP Islam Tanwirul Qulub Sengketan in Montong Ajan Village. This activity is carried out using a counseling approach that includes lectures, interactive discussions, educational games, evaluations, and the distribution of stationery. It is hoped that through this series of activities, students will become more motivated to stay in school, discover their interests, and explore job options available to them, as well as delay marriage to achieve a better quality of life. Overall, it can be concluded that community service activities can be carried out effectively and receive positive responses from the participants. In the future, similar activities should be carried out in other schools in Montong Ajan Village or in areas experiencing similar social problems to provide more significant and broader benefits for the younger generation.

Abstract

Factors that contribute to the prevalence of college students' anxiety vary, so this study examines and analyzes these factors in college students. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that contribute to the prevalence of college students' anxiety in general. This research uses a qualitative descriptive literature research methodology, empirical data on which this literature review is based is typically from 2020 to 2024. A systematic review based on PRISMA. Result of this research is students at the final level begin to feel anxiety as a result of anxiety about their future orientation. Excessive fear and concern about future outcomes can inhibit students' desire to participate in their career development, which will worsen their beliefs about the career decision-making process and its potential outcomes. So in this case it is very necessary to have an orientation towards the future, have career maturity and support from parents and teachers has an important role to reduce the level of anxiety felt.
