Abstract

At the beginning of March 2020, in Indonesia the learning process on the formal route was disrupted and could not take place properly due to the emergence of the corona virus outbreak. Anticipating the wider spread of the virus, the government issued an online. The online learning process at SMA Negeri 3 Seram Barat leaves various problems starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of learning. Based on these problems, the research aims to: 1) analyze the online learning planning process that can improve students' cognitive abilities at SMA Negeri 3 Seram Barat? 2) analyze the process of implementing online learning that can improve students' cognitive abilities at SMA Negeri 3 Seram Barat? 3) analyze the process of evaluating online learning that can improve students' cognitive abilities at SMA Negeri 3 Seram Barat? and 4) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors at the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of online learning?. This research is a qualitative type of research. The research subjects were 8 people. The instruments used were: interview guide, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive-qualitative. The results of the study show that online learning begins in early March 2020. In 2021, teachers are generally equipped with learning tools, including: a simplified curriculum during the Covid-19 period and lesson plans issued by the Maluku Provincial Education and Culture Office. The planning documents that are owned are the Covid Emergency Curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials, to be given to students. At the stage of implementing the teacher's learning using zoom free is limited to only 30 minutes. The learning approach used is the scientific approach. Some teacher barriers are difficult to conduct a comprehensive learning assessment, the accentuation of the assessment is only on cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management approach aimed at enhancing the quality of products, services, and organizational processes. In educational administration, TQM involves applying these principles to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the education system. This study investigates whether TQM implementation improves digital transformation initiatives and service delivery in educational settings. Using a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Model (SEM), this research measures and analyzes the relationships between TQM, Digital Transformation, and Prime Services. The study population comprises students from the Faculty of Tarbiyah who have completed at least three semesters, providing them with sufficient experience to assess TQM's effectiveness. Nonprobability quota sampling is used to select respondents based on predetermined criteria. The findings reveal that all reflective indicator variables in the outer model are valid, with high reliability demonstrated by composite reliability and Cronbach's alpha values. The inner model testing shows that exogenous variables can be explained by endogenous variables, including TQM (X1), Digital Transformation (X2), and Prime Services (X3). The results indicate that TQM significantly impacts digital transformation and the enhancement of prime services in education. Recommendations for educational administrators include strengthening TQM principles, increasing investment in digital technology, and focusing on prime services to students. These steps can improve operational efficiency, educational quality, and responsiveness to student needs in the digital era.

Abstract

The integration of interactive digital media is increasingly important in teacher education, particularly in Micro Teaching courses that aim to develop students’ basic teaching skills. However, learning media used in such courses often lack interactivity and visual engagement, limiting students’ participation and skill development. This study employed a Research and Development (RD) approach using the Borg and Gall model to develop Canva-assisted interactive learning media for a Micro Teaching course at FITK IAIN Ambon. The participants were 60 teacher education students, consisting of 20 students in a limited trial and 40 students in a large-scale trial. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The developed media included infographics, instructional videos, and interactive quizzes aligned with Micro Teaching competencies. Expert validation indicated very high content and media validity, with scores for ease of use (85%), clarity (88%), curriculum alignment (90%), and visual design (82%). Reliability testing using the test–retest method produced coefficients ranging from 0.72 to 0.85, indicating high consistency. Descriptive analysis of learning outcomes showed increased post-test scores compared to pre-test scores across all measured indicators. In the limited trial, students’ comprehension, engagement, and motivation increased by approximately 20 points. In the large-scale trial, material comprehension improved from 70 to 92, teaching skills from 65 to 87, and student involvement from 72 to 91. The findings suggest that Canva-based interactive media are associated with improved learning outcomes and teaching skill development in Micro Teaching courses. This study highlights the potential of visually rich and interactive media to support student-centered learning in teacher education, particularly in resource-constrained higher education contexts.
