Abstract

AbstrakWilayah perbatasan memerlukan sebuah mekanisme pengelolaan yang terintegrasi dan berkesinambungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merumuskan strategi dan model pembangunan yang sesuai dengan kondisi wilayah pada Kecamatan Perbatasan Negara di Provinsi Riau. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara purposive di Kecamatan Rangsang Barat Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau. Analisis data yang digunakan deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : pembangunan pada kecamatan perbatasan yang memiliki wilayah pesisir seharusnya dilakukan dengan melalui suatu pendekatan pembangunan yang menjamin terpeliharanya keseimbangan ekologi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi, yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan terpadu, dengan meletakkan masyarakat sebagai basis pembangunan. AbstractThe boarder area need a integrity and continually management mechanism. The purposes of this research to formulate the strategy and the model of development fringe which suitable with the area condition in the district of fringe country in Riau province. This research is done in the district of Rangsang Barat, Meranti regency of Riau province. The method of data analyzing that is used descriptive and quantitative. The result of research has shown the development of beach and ocean area should be done toward a development approach that keep the ecology balance and economic growing oprimally and sustainable with put the society as based development and doing it integraty.

Abstract

The community and industry have been developing sago products. However, the downstream industrial development of sago products carried out by the community is still very limited, both in terms of type and quality. The aim of this study was to formulate strategies and policies for the development of technology for downstream sago products, especially sago noodles. The study was conducted in the Meranti Islands District in 2019, with a sample of 40 sago noodle micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Data collection was carried out by means of surveys and focus group discussions (FGD). Data analysis using SWOT analysis. The results of the research found that the majority of sago processing technology was still traditional and semi-modern and 87.5% of the sago noodle product quality was not good. Efforts to organize the production space according to product hygienic sanitation standards and improve sago noodle product packaging technology are the right strategies to improve the quality of sago noodles. Therefore the policy of developing sago noodle downstream product technology is implemented by Building supporting facilities for the smooth running of the sago noodle business, such as providing clean and proper water facilities for processing sago noodles, Providing socialization, and improving the quality of human resources regarding quality and sago noodle packaging.

Abstract

Efforts to realize household food security in Pekanbaru City are still not optimal, because there are still food insecure households. This study aims to identify and evaluate internal and external factors and formulate strategies to improve household food security in Pekanbaru City. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques: interviews, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and documentation studies. The data analysis techniques used are evaluation of internal and external factors and SWOT analysis. The results of this study identified 26 strategic factors to improve household food security consisting of 12 internal factors and 14 external factors. The most important internal factor is the availability of food is quite good while the most important external factor is a strategic geographical location. Based on the results of the evaluation of internal and external factors, the strategy to improve household food security is in quadrant III with strategies to overcome weaknesses by taking advantage of opportunities. This study recommends five alternative W-O strategies which are then elaborated into several action plans to improve household food security in Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was aimed to asses the quality of food consumption and analyze the associated factors to improve the quality of food consumption of Riau Province, the food deficit region. A descriptive analytical study method was applied; and the data used in this research was secondary data. Descriptive and multiple regression analysis were applied for this study. The results showed that the food consumption quality was low which was dominated by food derived from grains, oils and fats and sugar. Food availability quality, income percapita, and food prices were not significantly associated with the food consumption quality. The strategies to improve the quality of food consumption are through developing a better institutions for food processing and marketing in rural in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of food distribution, and the value-added; increasing people knowledge on food and nutrition.Keywords: deficit region, food quality, food security, nutrition educationABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menilai kualitas konsumsi pangan penduduk daerah defisit pangan Provinsi Riau dan menganalisis faktor yang memengaruhinya. Pendekatan penelitian adalah deskriptif analitis. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder dan uji yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda. Hasil kajian menunjukkan kualitas konsumsi pangan penduduk belum baik, karena masih didominasi oleh konsumsi pangan yang berasal dari kelompok padi-padian, minyak dan lemak serta gula. Ketersediaan pangan, pendapatan per kapita penduduk, harga pangan secara bersama-sama tidak memengaruhi secara signifikan terhadap kualitas konsumsi pangan penduduk. Peningkatan kualitas konsumsi pangan penduduk di daerah defisit pangan dapat dilakukan antara lain dengan mengembangkan kelembagaan pengolahan dan pemasaran di perdesaan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas distribusi pangan dan peningkatan pengetahuan pangan dan gizi masyarakat yang berkelanjutan.Kata kunci: daerah defisit, ketahanan pangan, kualitas pangan, pendidikan gizi
