The determination of the period of payment of iddah income after divorce by the ex-husband to the ex-wife is very important because women who are carrying out the iddah period are not allowed to leave the house. For this reason, husbands are encouraged to provide iddah as stated in the word of Allah surah al-Thalaq:1. But, after divorce, the man disappears regardless of his ex-wife, besides that the policy on determining the period of payment of iddah income has not been regulated in the legislation or the compilation of Islamic law. So this research is important to be carried out as an effort to realize justice for women. This research is a literature research (Library research), which is a study that presents a variety of data by the research topic which includes primary data, namely the concept of iddah in the compilation of Islamic law which will be analyzed using Islamic legal theory. The results of the study that the determination of the period of payment of income is very important to be stated in the laws and regulations in Indonesia. Because the obligation to practice iddah will also be carried out if the ex-wife does not experience any deficiency Even the state can determine sanctions for ex-husbands who do not provide iddah to ex-wives. Sanctions provide a deterrent effect and encourage husbands to comply with their obligations fairly and responsibly.

There are several types of mythical forms, namely cosmogony myths, origin myths, myths of gods, androgynous myths, and myths of the end of the world. In relation to religion, myths have a very important role. A myth is a story told to establish a particular belief, act as a novice event in a ceremony or rite, or as a fixed model of social or religious behavior. Abstract

This study examines the internalization of Islamic values in religious-based communities and the factors influencing this process. The objective is to understand how informal education in families and communities shapes children’s Islamic character and to identify related challenges and opportunities. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed, utilizing participant observation, in-depth interviews with religious figures, parents, and children, and document analysis of community religious activities. Findings suggest that the internalization of Islamic values is most effective through practice-based approaches, such as congregational prayer, reading books, and participating in socio-religious activities. Socio-cultural factors, particularly the culture of collectivism, play a significant role in reinforcing these values, while challenges arise from the influence of digitalization and modernization, which reduce children’s involvement in religious practices. The study emphasizes the need for collaboration among families, communities, and educational institutions to adapt Islamic learning methods to technological changes. It also calls for policies that support community-based informal education to ensure the continued transmission of Islamic values.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (IBS) are unique Islamic educational institutions that play a significant role in shaping the character and behavior of santri (students). This study aims to explore the perspectives of kiai (Islamic leaders) in internalizing a character education model within santri traditions amidst the challenges of modernity. This qualitative research employs a phenomenological approach, focusing on field studies conducted at the Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School in Sumenep, East Java. Data collection involved interviews with 10 kiai, providing insights into traditional practices that influence santri character formation. The findings reveal several traditional models that foster character development in santri. These include showing respect to kiai through specific customs like handshaking, communal meals, polite communication, simple attire, maintaining cleanliness, fulfilling worship obligations, respecting guests, displaying diligence in learning, and engaging in unique rituals such as "bersampetan" (communal bathing). These practices strengthen relationships among kiai, ustadz (teachers), santri, and other residents within the IBS environment, creating a harmonious and conducive learning atmosphere. These traditions are integral to character education in IBS, reinforcing values of integrity, ethics, and responsibility. They not only preserve the cultural heritage of Islamic boarding schools but also offer a sustainable model for character building relevant to the modern era.The findings suggest that IBS traditions can serve as an effective framework for character education, addressing contemporary challenges while fostering the development of ethical, responsible, and well-rounded individuals in Islamic education.

Abstract

The Panjang Mulud tradition represents a local celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday that has developed within the Banten community, particularly in Serang City. This tradition embodies not only religious values but also social and cultural dimensions that reflect the community’s resilience in maintaining Islamic values amid modernization. This study aims to analyze Islamic cultural resilience within the dynamics of the Panjang Mulud tradition using Clifford Geertz’s interpretive anthropology combined with the theory of cultural resilience. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic model through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation in Tanggul Village, Cimuncang Subdistrict, Serang City. The findings reveal that Serang’s community demonstrates strong cultural flexibility in preserving Islamic values through the negotiation of meanings between religious, social, and economic aspects. The Panjang Mulud tradition continues to transform in form without losing its spiritual essence and functions as a medium for strengthening local Islamic identity that is adaptive and contextual in the modern era.
