Abstract

Employee engagement merupakan sebuah sarana yang dapat membantu organisasi untuk meraih tujuan organisasi. Dalam penelitian kali ini, peneliti menetapkan model kepemimpinan transformasional sebagai variabel yang mempengaruhi employee engagement. Kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki 4 atribut yang harus dipenuhi, yaitu idealized influence, individualized consideration, intellectual stimulation dan inspirational motivation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap employee engagement di D’Season Hotel Surabaya. Penelitian ini melibatkan 41 karyawan tetap D’Season Hotel Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki pengaruh yang parsial dan signifikan serta simultan dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement serta inspirational motivation berpengaruh paling dominan terhadap employee engagement di D’Season Hotel Surabaya.

Abstract

Kalakai (Stenochlaena palustris) is a common plant in Kalimantan and Sumatra which has been consumed locally as a vegetable. Information about the benefits of kalakai as a functional food has spread widely in the community. However, scientific information and research investigating the potency of kalakai are scarce, and the scientific literature is dominated by local Indonesian-language journals. This review aims to explore and compile the potential health benefits of kalakai based on its nutritional and bioactive content. Kalakai is reported to have various health benefits such as high fibre, antianemia, antioxidant, antidiabetic and antimicrobial activity. Referring to the current status of research, the processing of kalakai as a food functional or nutraceutical ingredient for antioxidative function and controlling blood sugar are the most potential. However, clinical and safety trials still need to be carried out as part of the preparation for the use of kalakai as a functional and nutraceutical food ingredient in the near future.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan teknologi terus mengalami perkembangan dengan sangat pesat, salah satunya yaitu dalam sistem perdagangan secara elektronik yang selanjutnya disebut e-commerce. Seiring dengan hal tersebut, muncul  kekhawatiran konsumen mengenai data pribadi yang di simpan oleh perusahaan marketplace, sehingga diperlukan perlindugan hukum bagi para konsumen daring. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi yang tepat bagi pemerintah dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya dalam membuat kebijakan terkait dengan perlindungan data pribadi konsumen daring di Indonesia. Kajian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui studi literatur. Hasil dari kajian ini menghasilkan rekomendasi untuk kebijakan terkait dengan penerapan prinsip strict liability.  Kata Kunci: Marketplace, Perlindungan data, Privasi, Perlindungan Konsumen, Tanggung Jawab.

Abstract

The film is one form of popular mass media which is packaged in such a way that the message it carries can be conveyed. A Film is a popular form of mass media that is widely used by the public. A film's story is packaged in such a way that the message it conveys is conveyed. The film's values can have cognitive, affective, and conative effects on the audience. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, a 2022 Marvel Cinematic Universe production, is no exception. What is interesting to examine is how the film portrays feminism. The goal of this research is to determine the meaning of the semiotic code in relation to feminism at three levels: reality, representation, and ideology. This study employed descriptive qualitative methods, with John Fiske's semiotic theory approach, such as the codes of television. The result of this research shows that the values of feminism at the reality level are shown through appearance, costume, make-up, behavior, dialogue, and expression code. At the representation level, the values of feminism are shown through camera, lighting, music and sound, conflict, and action. Liberal feminism is the ideological value of feminism that is represented, for which women can claim equality with men based on essential human capitalism as a moral reasoning agent. Film merupakan salah satu bentuk media massa populer yang dikemas sedemikian rupa agar pesan yang dibawa dapat tersampaikan. Pesan-pesan dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam film dapat mempengaruhi penonton baik secara kognitif, afektif dan konatif. Tak terkecuali film seri produksi Marvel Cinematic Universe pada tahun 2022 berjudul She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Yang menjadi menarik untuk diteliti adalah bagaimana representasi feminisme ditampilkan melalui film tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian berikut adalah mencari tahu arti kode-kode semiotika tentang feminisme pada level realitas, level representasi dan level ideologi. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pendekatan teori semiotika John Fiske, dan menggunakan teori kode televisi. Hasil penelitian ini merepresentasikan beberapa nilai feminisme pada level realitas berdasarkan penampilan, kostum, riasan wajah, tingkah laku, dialog, dan kode ekspresi. Pada level representasi nilai-nilai feminisme direpresentasikan melalui kamera, pencahayaan, musik dan suara, konflik, narasi, dan aksi. Serta level ideologi, yang memuat nilai-nilai feminisme direpresentasikan adalah aliran feminisme liberal, hal ini mengartikan bahwa perempuan dapat menuntut hak yang sama dengan laki-laki dalam argumen moral yang dapat dibenarkan dari esensi kapitalis laki-laki.

Abstract

Background: The literature presents a compelling case for the use of percutaneous ethanol injection therapy (PEIT) as a treatment modality for locally recurrent papillary thyroid cancer, particularly when compared to traditional surgical reoperation. The studies reviewed highlight the evolution of PEIT from its initial applications in benign conditions to its potential in managing malignancies. Literature Review: Overall, the literature indicates a growing consensus on the viability of PEIT as an alternative to surgical reoperation for locally recurrent papillary thyroid cancer, particularly for patients who may not tolerate more invasive procedures. The progression from initial applications in benign lesions to considerations for complex malignancies underscores the adaptability and potential of PEIT in clinical practice. Conclusion: The collective insights from these articles support the notion that PEIT could serve as a viable alternative to surgical reoperation for patients with locally recurrent papillary thyroid cancer. The evidence suggests that PEIT not only maintains a favorable safety profile but also offers significant therapeutic benefits, particularly for patients who may be at higher risk for surgical complications. Further research comparing the long-term outcomes of PEIT and surgical reoperation is warranted to solidify its role in clinical practice.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the MSME sector in Indonesia, with a drastic decline in revenue, as 82.9% of business owners experienced negative effects (Katadata Insight Center, 2020). One of the affected MSMEs is a culinary business, specifically a Dim Sum business. This study aims to identify the key issues in business management, including human resources, marketing, and financial management, as well as provide strategic recommendations to support business sustainability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, involving observation, interviews, and analysis using SWOT and TOWS Matrix. The results indicate that the Dim Sum MSME faces challenges such as lack of product innovation, limited implementation of digital marketing strategies, absence of branding and halal certification, and issues in financial management and human resources. Based on the analysis, it is recommended that the business establish its own brand, register for halal certification, and utilize dedicated social media for business promotion. Through this community service program, the business owner is expected to implement the proposed solutions to improve competitiveness and business sustainability in the face of dynamic market changes. This research provides important contributions to supporting MSME adaptation to the challenges of the digital era and post-pandemic recovery.

Abstract

Coal is one of the main fuel sources for electricity generation in Indonesia. Coal contains inherent moisture water content and chemical calorific value. The Inherent Moisture value in coal is one of the main characteristics of coal that determines the quality of the coal. The calorific value of coal was determined from the values ​​of Total Moisture, Ash Content and Total Sulfur which are the determining parameters for coal quality. The aim of this research is to determine the correlation between the Inherent Moisture value and the Calorific Value of coal with ASTM standards. This research was conducted at PT Triyasa Pirsa Utama Samarinda using 10 different coal samples to analyze the Inherent Moisture value and Calorific Value. Based on the data from the analysis and graphs, a correlation between the Inherent Moisture (IM) and Calorific Value (CV) values ​​is inversely proportional, where the higher the IM value, the lower the CV value in the coal sample. The factors that influence changes in IM and CV values ​​are climate, weather, coal storage time and coal grain size degradation. Keywords: Coal, Moisture, Calorific Value, ASTM Standard.
