Abstract

Every student has different abilities, this difference is due to the different stages of ability that students have. The purpose of this study was to describe students' thinking skills based on Van Hiele's learning theory. The subjects of this study were 15 students of class VIII SMPN 2 Makale. The instruments used were test descriptions and interviews. The results showed 93% who had the ability to think at the introductory stage (stage 0), 80% of students who had the ability to think at the stage of analysis (stage 1), 33% of students who had the ability to think at the sequencing stage (stage 2), and 20% of students. who has the ability to think at the deduction stage (stage 3). Thus, the thinking ability of iclass VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Makale based on Van Hiele's theory on cube and block material reaches stage 3 or the deduction stage.

Abstract

The background to this research is the lack of student learning outcomes in class V mathematics subjects at SDN Pranggang 3. Class V students at SDN Pranggang 3 still experience difficulties when understanding length unit material. The factor that influences the lack of learning outcomes is that the learning process does not or does not involve students directly and is only explained by the teacher. The aim of this research is to determine students' understanding of length unit material by using a smart ladder teaching aid with the demonstration method. This research is classroom action research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were fifth grade students at SDN Pranggang 3. Based on the results of interviews with students who obtained results above the KKM, they said that it was more fun if they could directly practice the material they were studying rather than just reading it. Meanwhile, students whose scores were below the KKM felt that they did not understand when multiplying or when dividing the questions that had been given. Mathematics lessons on length unit material using this smart ladder teaching aid can help elementary school students understand length unit material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze problems and solutions in the literacy improvement program carried out at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Prambon. The method used in this study is to use qualitative descriptive research by collecting data by interviewing responding teachers at the school and also the principal as the person in charge of the program that will be implemented to improve literacy at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Prambon, namely the literacy program 10 minutes before learning activities begin and love the library which is carried out with a predetermined schedule at In its implementation, supervision and evaluation are always carried out by the principal as the person in charge of the activity, there are several problems that exist from students and also from the infrastructure of books.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah soal cerita pada siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) Katolik Frateran II Kota Kediri ditinjau dari kemampuan numerasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 6 siswa dari kelas V. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes soal, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah soal cerita siswa SD Katolik Frateran II Kota Kediri berada pada tingkat yang cukup baik, Faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah tersebut antara lain kurangnya latihan dalam memecahkan masalah soal cerita dan kurangnya pemahaman konsep matematika. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar sekolah memberikan perhatian lebih pada pengembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa, khususnya dalam konteks cerita, melalui berbagai metode pembelajaran yang menarik dan memadai.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Android untuk sarana belajar dan adaptasi teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap analisis dilakukan analisis kebutuhan; tahap desain melibatkan perancangan aplikasi G-Mila; tahap pengembangan mencakup pembuatan aplikasi G-Mila; tahap implementasi dilakukan uji coba aplikasi; dan tahap evaluasi mengukur validitas aplikasi G-Mila. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Kalijogo Wates Kabupaten Kediri. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media menunjukkan rata-rata 89% (sangat valid), validasi oleh ahli materi 97,5% (sangat valid), dan validasi oleh praktisi 87% (sangat valid). Aplikasi G-Mila dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi operasi hitung bilangan bulat.   G-Mila: Android-based learning media innovation for technology adaptation at Kalijogo Wates Middle School   Abstract This study aims to develop an Android-based learning media for educational and technological adaptation purposes. The research uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The analysis stage involves needs analysis; the design stage includes the design of the G-Mila application; the development stage covers the creation of the G-Mila application; the implementation stage involves testing the application; and the evaluation stage measures the validity of the G-Mila application. The research was conducted at SMP Kalijogo Wates, Kediri Regency. Validation results by media experts showed an average of 89% (very valid), validation by material experts 97.5% (very valid), and validation by practitioners 87% (very valid). The G-Mila application is deemed suitable for use in mathematics learning on the topic of integer operations.

Abstract

Sidik Jari merupakan karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh setiap orang dan pasti berbeda. Ibaratnya, sidik jari merupakan barcode pada masing-masing orang. Guratan-guratan garis pada jari-jari siswa diramalkan mempunyai pola yang dapat menggambarkan kemampuan matematis. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti hanya meneliti kaitan sidik jari dengan kemampuan berhitung, logika dan geometri pada siswa. Diawali dengan peneliti mengambil sidik jari siswa, kemudian melakukan uji tes tertulis pada siswa sampai uji keabsahan data penelitian. Berdasarkan analisis keterkaitan antara tes pertama, tes kedua dan pola sidik jari yang dimiliki siswa, maka diperoleh suatu kesimpulan yaitu siswa yang unggul dalam kemampuan berhitung adalah siswa yang memiliki pola sidik jari whorl. Siswa yang unggul dalam kemampuan logika matematis adalah siswa yang memiliki pola sidik jari Loops. Siswa yang unggul dalam kemampuan geometri adalah siswa yang memiliki pola sidik jari Loops. Jika tes sidik jari ini dilakukan sejak dini pada siswa, maka kemampuan matematis siswa dapat diketahui, sehingga jika tes menunjukkan kekurangan kemampuan pada siswa maka dapat segera dicarikan solusi. Dengan demikian kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah terhadap mata pelajaran matematis dapat berjalan dengan efektif, sehingga tujuan dari pembelajaran dapat tercapai.

Abstract

Mathematical thinking in problem-solving is an important goal of learning mathematics. The ability to use various ways of presenting mathematical concepts (multi-representation) is an important aspect of mathematical thinking. In its implementation, students experience problem-solving failures because of difficulties in making changes from one representation to another. This fact can be seen from the initial observations in statistics class, which showed that out of 37 students, only 12 students were successful in solving statistical problems because they could change verbal and graphic representations to symbolic ones correctly. Meanwhile, 17 out of 25 students failed because they did not understand the problems displayed in graphic form. To overcome this problem, statistical module development research has been carried out by applying the SPSS practice video barcode innovation. The development method uses a modified 4-D model, namely define, design, and develop. Modifications are carried out by eliminating the dissemination stage due to limited time and research costs. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire. The data obtained are qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that the module developed was included in the very feasible criteria, in terms of content feasibility at 85.78%, language feasibility at 88.61%, presentation feasibility at 84.82%, and graphic feasibility at 84.72%. The results of the trial were limited to 37 students who received a positive response of 85,63% so the statistics module was suitable for use as teaching materials.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Kediri masih menghadapi tantangan dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Pembelajaran cenderung berorientasi pada hasil, bukan proses berpikir siswa. Hal ini berdampak pada rendahnya minat dan identitas matematis siswa. Tujuan: Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberdayakan guru MGMP SMP Kabupaten Kediri melalui pelatihan joyful learning berbasis praktik nyata dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas tiga tahap: (1) need assessment untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan guru; (2) pelatihan berbasis praktik yang melibatkan simulasi pembelajaran dan micro teaching; dan (3) pendampingan reflektif. Hasil: Kegiatan ini menghasilkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang bermakna dan menyenangkan. Sebanyak 91% peserta mampu mengintegrasikan strategi joyful learning dengan konteks materi matematika yang diajarkan. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan berbasis praktik terbukti efektif meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dan kreativitas guru dalam menerapkan joyful learning pada pembelajaran matematika di SMP.
