Abstract

The influence of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to entrepreneurship motivation and conceptual understanding of students on colloidal system concept. Colloidal system concept was a concept that requires highly analysis with mastery of concepts that must be understood and require students practice in daily life. Learning will be more meaningful and provide a deep understanding of the learners when learning adapted to the characteristics of the subject matter. One effective solution was implement the cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship. This study aimed to determine the influence of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to entrepreneurship motivation and conceptual understanding of students. The study design used was pretest-posttest control group design, the sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The population in this study were all students of grade XII IPA SMA AL-Hamzar, Thatwas 50 students were divided into an experimental group of 26 students and a control group of 24 students. Entrepreneurship motivation analysis technique using multivariate test obtained scores of experimental group 63%, 74% and score of control group 66%, 68%. While conceptual understanding data using multivariate test with SPSS 16.0 for windows which scores obtained from initial test and final test on the conceptual understanding was no difference between the experimental group and control group that why used T test. Results obtained there was significant influences of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to entrepreneurship motivation and it had no influence on students' conceptual understanding with sig = 0.304 > 0.05. So it can be concluded that there was no influence of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to conceptual understanding of students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA banyak menyajikan masalah-masalah yang ada dikehidupan sehari-hari misalkan peristiwa pencemaran lingkungan. Setiap orang membutuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi untuk menghadapi setiap masalah dengan baik. Salah satu bentuk keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi adalah keterampilan berpikir kritis. Model yang dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah model discovery learning. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental dengan desain Posttest-only Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VII SMPN 4 Praya Tengah Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri atas 2 kelas. Sampel diambil dengan tekhnik sampling jenuh sehingga semua populasi dijadikan sampel. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi 5 % dengan bantuan SPSS 16.0 For Windows. Hasil analisis diperoleh nilai signifikan data keterampilan berpikir kritis sebesar 0,034. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the characteristics, the feasibility practice and the effectiveness of developed module. This study used a model of development Nieveen began preliminary stages of research, prototyping stage, summative evaluation and systematic reflection and documentation. Validation of products was conducted by expert lecturers of chemistry and expert lecturers of media with the percentage of feasibility an average of 93.6% to the category of very feasible. The practice of module testing by the chemistry teachers and students of XII MIA grade and testing of learning plan. Trial by teachers got the average percentage of the feasibility is 94.75% categorized as very practice, testing students gained average percentage of the feasibility was 95% categorized as very practice. The precentage of learning plan was 95% categorized as very practice. The effectiveness of developed module obtained an average score of N-Gain students namely 0.4 categorized as moderate. Based on the percentage of feasibility and the effectiveness level, so it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) module oriented green chemistry in salt hydrolysis concept to improve the scientific literacy of students were feasible, practice, and effectively used to improve the scientific literacy of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Media Animasi Submikroskopik (MAS) terhadap kemampuan representasi siswa pada setiap sub materi pokok larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan (N-gain) kemampuan representasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (p=0,002) dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, rata-rata N-gain kemampuan representasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol pada setiap sub materi pokok. Konsep komponen larutan penyangga mengalami peningkatan tertinggi di kelas eksperimen (rata-rata N-gain = 81,21%). Konsep pH larutan penyangga mengalami peningkatan tertinggi di kelas kontrol (rata-rata N-gain = 76,42%). MAS memuat konsep larutan penyangga pada level submikroskopik dengan jelas sehingga dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep pada level makroskopik dan simbolik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa MAS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi siswa pada setiap sub materi pokok.

Abstract

This dissemination activity aims to improve the publication skills of teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Kayangan, North Lombok Regency. The method of implementing this service is through outreach and demonstration. The instruments used to measure teachers' publication abilities are interviews and observations. Based on the results of observations and interviews during the training, around 70.59% of the training participants were able to show significant improvement, while the rest still needed to receive additional training so that they could produce scientific work correctly. The results of these observations were supported by the results of an interview with the Head of SMP Negeri 2 Kayangan who stated that this activity was very useful for teachers to motivate and improve their writing skills. They will apply the knowledge and skills in compiling scientific work obtained in the training, both individually and in groups to produce scientific work that can improve teacher professionalism. The results of the training activities showed that teachers were happy to receive refreshment regarding the importance of compiling scientific work.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has reduced children's learning motivation in Aik Gamang Hamlet, Ranggagata Village, Central Lombok Regency. To overcome this problem, socialization and training activities were carried out on making eco-enzymes as an alternative to fun learning science during the transition period of the Covid-19 pandemic. Eco-enzyme is an organic solution produced from fresh vegetable waste, fruit waste, brown sugar and water using selective microorganisms. This activity aims to raise children's enthusiasm, build positive social interactions with parents, and educate housewives to utilize household organic waste into something more useful. The problem solving method is carried out through pre-socialization stages, preparing brochures, collecting materials, core activities, and evaluation for 1 week. As a result, two 600 ml bottles of eco-enzyme were obtained, and it is hoped that eco-enzyme production can continue to be carried out through waste banks. Apart from that, hand sanitizer was also made from aloe vera extract, as well as planting hydroponic plants. Discussions involve active community participation in this activity. From this activity, it can be concluded that training in making eco-enzymes and related activities can be an innovative solution to increase children's learning motivation, strengthen social interactions, and educate the public in utilizing organic waste.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh praktikum inkuiri terbimbing berbasis bahan pangan terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi asam dan basa. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MA NW Debok, dengan sampel terdiri dari kelas eksperimen (20 siswa) dan kelas kontrol (18 siswa). Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes penguasaan konsep dan lembar observasi keterampilan kolaborasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan kolaborasi siswa pada kelas eksperimen, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 11,87 menjadi 14,62. Penguasaan konsep juga meningkat signifikan, dengan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen mencapai 72,25 dibandingkan dengan 57,22 pada kelas kontrol. Uji t menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol signifikan pada taraf 0,05 (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa praktikum inkuiri terbimbing berbasis bahan pangan secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Disarankan agar metode ini diimplementasikan lebih luas dalam pembelajaran kimia untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya pada materi yang memerlukan pemahaman mendalam seperti asam dan basa. The Effect of Guided Inquiry Practicum Based on Food Materials on Collaboration Skills and Students' Concept Mastery in Acid and Base Material  This study aims to evaluate the impact of guided inquiry-based practical activities using food materials on students' collaboration skills and concept mastery in acid-base chemistry. The research employs a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consists of 11th-grade students at MA NW Debok, with a sample comprising 20 students in the experimental group and 18 students in the control group. The instruments used include a concept mastery test and an observation sheet for collaboration skills. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' collaboration skills in the experimental group, with the average score increasing from 11.87 to 14.62. Concept mastery also showed significant improvement, with the posttest average score in the experimental group reaching 72.25 compared to 57.22 in the control group. A t-test revealed that the difference between the experimental and control groups was statistically significant at the 0.05 level (p < 0.05). The study concludes that guided inquiry-based practical activities using food materials significantly enhance students' collaboration skills and concept mastery. It is recommended that this method be more widely implemented in chemistry education to improve student learning outcomes, especially in subjects requiring deep understanding, such as acid-base chemistry.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of virtual laboratories on enhancing students' computational thinking skills, focusing on the half-life concept in radiochemistry. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model was employed. Thirteen students enrolled in a Radiochemistry course participated in the study. The intervention involved the use of PhET simulations as a virtual laboratory, designed to facilitate a structured and interactive learning environment. Pretest and posttest assessments were conducted to measure the students' computational thinking skills. The results showed significant improvement in computational thinking post-intervention, with notable gains in decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design. Statistical analysis using paired-sample t-test and normalized gain scores confirmed the effectiveness of the virtual laboratory in enhancing these skills. The study concludes that virtual laboratories, such as PhET simulations, are effective in developing computational thinking abilities, providing a valuable tool for modern educational practices. These findings suggest that integrating virtual laboratories into the curriculum can significantly improve students' problem-solving and critical thinking skills, preparing them for future academic and professional challenges.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan salah satu permasalahan lingkungan yang memerlukan perhatian serius. Sampah banyak dihasilkan dari kegiatan rumah tangga. Upaya sederhana yang dapat dilakukan untuk meminimalkan sampah rumah tangga adalah melakukan daur ulang sampah anorganik. Masyarakat perlu diberikan pelatihan tentang pengelolaan sampah tersebut. Pada program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, peserta pelatihan adalah ibu rumah tangga, remaja putri, bapak, dan anak-anak di Kelurahan Sasake sebanyak 54 orang. Metode kegiatan pengabdian menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi. Adapun langkah-langkah kegiatan adalah ceramah untuk menjelaskan kajian sampah, jenis dan sumber sampah, pengelolaan sampah dengan prinsip 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), lalu dilanjutkan tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan praktik daur ulang sampah anorganik (botol dan kemasan plastik) menjadi produk bermanfaat. Program pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat khususnya mengenai daur ulang sampah, sehingga diharapkan dalam jangka panjang dapat meminimalkan sampah serta meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul “PelatihanKewirausahaan Melalui “Business Day” Untuk Membangun Karakter Siswa” memiliki beberapa target dan luaran. Adapun target dari program inidiantaranya: (1) program ini diperuntukkan bagi orang tua dan guru yangada di lingkungan PAUD Mutiara Islami; (2) meningkatkan pemahamanguru mengenai metode pembelajaran; (3) meningkatkan kemampuan gurudalam menganalisa karakter masing-masing anak; (4) meningkatkankesadran orang tua untuk terlibat dalam pembentukan karakter anak; dan(5) meningkatkan Kerjasama antara orang tua dan guru dalampembentukann karakter anak. Kemudian luaran yang dihasilkan dariprogram ini diantaranya: (1) terlaksananya kegiatan pelatihan dengan judul“Pelatihan Kewirausahaan Melalui “Business Day” Untuk MembangunKarakter Siswa; dan (2) guru dan orang tua memiliki persepsi yang samadalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Adapun tahapan kegiatan ini sebagaiberikut: (1) persiapan dan pembekalan; (2) penyampaian materi; (3)pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdiann dan (4) rencana keberlanjutan program.Hasil dari pengabdian diperoleh bahwa terciptanya sistem kekeluargaanantara pihak sekolah, guru, dan orang tua sehingga mengakibatkan motivasianak dalam belajar dan bermain meningkat.
