Abstract

Homoseksualitas di Indonesia, masih merupakan hal yang tabu dan sulit diterima oleh masyarakat. Orientasi seksual yang lazim ada dalam masyarakat adalah heteroseksual, sedangkan homoseksual oleh masyarakat dianggap sebagai penyimpangan orientasi seksual. Stigma negatif dari masyarakat tersebut menyebabkan timbulnya kecemasan sosial pada kaum homoseksual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat kecemasan sosial yang ada pada individu homoseksual gay dan lesbian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif non-eksperimen dengan menggunakan skala kecemasan sosial. Jumlah subyek sebanyak 30 orang gay dan 30 orang lesbian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kecemasan sosial yang sangat signifikan antara kaum homoseksual gay dan lesbian dengan nilai thitung sebesar -5,906 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Tingkat kecemasan sosial pada kaum lesbian lebih tinggi daripada kaum gay. Kata kunci : Kecemasan sosial, homoseksual, gay, lesbian Homosexuality in Indonesia was still considered taboo and socially unaccepted. The common sexual orientation in the society was heterosexual, while homosexual was considered a form of sexual disorientation. The negative stigma from the society led to social anxiety on the homosexuals. The study aimed at investigating the different levels of social anxiety experienced by homosexuals, gays and lesbians. This non-experimental quantitative study employed social anxiety scale. The subjects were 30 gays and 30 lesbians. The findings revealed that there was a very significant difference between social anxiety levels on gays and lesbians with the t-score -5.906 and the significance value 0.000. In addition, the social anxiety level of the lesbians was higher than the gays. Keywords: Social anxiety, homosexual, gay, lesbian

Abstract

The massive flow of easily-accessed information in social media has affected teenagers with a high level of neuroticism hard to control their behavior in using social media. As a consequence, they are prone to experience anxiety that other people are engaging in some more fun and valuable activities and that they miss the chance to engage in those activities. This anxiety is known as ?Fear of Missing Out (FoMO)?. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between neuroticism and the Fear of Missing Out among teenagers who actively use social media. This study used a correlational study design with purposive sampling. Subjects of this study were teenagers with a total of 110 between the age of 13-18 that actively use social media in recent months. The instrument used were the Big Five Inventory (BFI) and modified Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) Scale. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment. Correlation results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between neuroticism and Fear of Missing out (FoMO) scores among teenagers. Coefficient value of the correlation (r) was 0,464 with p = 0,00 < 0,01. It can be concluded, the higher the tendency of the teenagers having neuroticism, the higher risk of experiencing anxiety that other people?s activities are more fun and valuable. The contribution of the neuroticism to the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) was 21,5%.

Abstract

Gratitude dan psychological well-being merupakan aspek emosi positif yang ada dalam individu. Individu yang memiliki rasa bersyukur karena mampu menyadari bahwa dirinya banyak menerima kebaikan, penghargaan baik dari Tuhan, orang lain dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Sedangkan individu yang memiliki psychological well-being ketika Ia mampu menerima dirinya, membentuk hubungan yang hangat, memiliki kemandirian, mengontrol lingkungan eksternal, memiliki arti dalam hidup serta merealisasikan potensi dirinya secara kontinyu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Gratitude terhadap Psychological well being pada remaja. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif non eksperimen korelasional dua variabel. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala Ryff’s psychological well-being scale dan  The Gratitude Questionnaires Six Item Form (GQ-6). Analisa data menggunakan metode analisa korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara gratitude dan psychological well-being pada remaja (r=0,012, p=0,865). Kata kunci: Gratitude, psychological well-being, remaja. Gratitude and psychological well being is a positive emotional aspect in every individual. People have gratitude on their self because they aware to get something good in every situation, a good appreciation from God and another people. Meanwhile, people who have psychological well being when they have self acceptance, positive relation to other people, have autonomy and mastering environment, have purpose in life and realizing their potential. The purpose of this study is to know the effect of gratitude towards psychological well being in adolescents. The research design used quantitative non-experimental study, correlating 2 variables. The sampling technique using cluster sampling. The data collected by using Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale formed by Caroll D. Ryff (1989) and The Gratitude Questionnaires Six Item Form (GQ-6) be in the form of Likert Scale by McCullough (2002). The data analyzed by correlational analysis method. The result of this study show that there is no correlation between gratitude and psychological well-being in adolescent (r = 0,012; p=0,865). Keywords: Gratitude, psychological well-being, adolescents

Abstract

Masalah kenakalan remaja di Indonesia semakin memprihatinkan dan menjelma menjadi masalah sosial yang kritis karena telah mengarah pada berbagai bentuk tindakan kriminalitas. Kesejahteraan psikologis pada remaja dapat menjadi pondasi bagi remaja dalam menghadapi masa kritis dan penuh gejolak pada periode remaja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan kesejahteraan psikologis remaja di sekolah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu 224 remaja di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Muhammadiyah Malang. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala psychological well-being dari Caroll D.Ryff. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar kesejahteraan psikologis remaja di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan berada pada kategori sedang. Dimensi yang paling berpengaruh pada kesejahteraan psikologis remaja adalah adalah enviromental mastery, dimana remaja merasa bahagia ketika mampu menguasai lingkungannya secara baik.Kata kunci: Kesejahteraan psikologis, remaja.Juvenile delinquency problem in Indonesia was even more alarming and transformed into a critical social problem because it has led to various forms of criminal acts. Psychological wellbeing in adolescents can be a foundation for youth in the face of critical and turbulent period in the adolescent period. The purpose of this study was to describe the psychological well-being of adolescents in schools. This research method used descriptive quantitative method. Subjects were 224 teenagers in Vocational High School Malang. The sampling method used cluster sampling method. Data collection techniques in this study used psychological well-being scale by Caroll D.Ryff. The results showed that the psychological well-being of adolescents in schools shows most students have medium psychological well-being. The most influential dimension is the dimension of environmental mastery, where teenagers feel happy when able to control the environment as well.Keywords: psychological well-being, teenager.

Abstract

Abstrak. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between psychological well-being and the use of defense mechanism's in young adults whose parents are divorced. This research uses a quantitative research design with a correlational approach. The research subjects were early adult children (18-25 years) with divorced parents, using the Accidental Sampling technique with 105 respondents. The instruments in this research are the psychological well-being Scale and the Defense Style Questionnaire. Data analysis uses Pearson correlation and Spearman rank. The results showed that psychological well-being and self-defense mechanism's (immature) were negatively significant with a value of p=0.005 and R=- 0.271. The higher a person's psychological well-being, the lower the use of defense mechanism's that are classified as immature. Kata Kunci: Child of divorce, defense mechanism, psychological well-being

Abstract

Elementary school children have the potential to develop positively with the support of their social environment. The more positive experiences presented in a child's daily life, the more likely they are to grow into well-adjusted individuals. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Program Tetirah Bimasakti in reducing challenging behaviors in elementary school children. This study utilized a quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. Participants included six children enrolled in the Program Tetirah Bimasakti, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument employed was the Indonesian version of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) for children. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test. The results indicated a decrease in the participants' difficulty scores; however, there was no significant change in their prosocial scores. This suggests that while the Program Tetirah Bimasakti was effective in reducing difficult behaviors, it was insufficient for fostering prosocial behavior. Consequently, this study implies that relevant institutions should develop structured modules for activity programs that can be tailored to specific and targeted competencies.
