Abstract

Indonesia is ranked in 117 out of 175 from the most corrupt countries in the world. The corruption phenomenon can be analyzed from the individual micro elements. In a person's life, there are people considered as a role model / anti-corruption figures. Considering that one could not control his desire, he tends to justify any way for his pleasure. It might be said that  self-control is closely related to religiosity. In fact, corruption not only happens in official governors, but also in university students. It is ironic when we compare it with the ideal expectations of the community toward students as the future generation. The  purpose of this research is to know the influence of role models and religiosity toward anti-corruption behavior. Quota Sampling is used to collect the data ( 440 students from nine universities in East Java) and moderated regression analysis (MRA) is utilised to analyze them. The result shows that the religiosity variable can not moderate independence and dependence variables. Nevertheless, role models have a significant effect to predict anti-corruption behavior by 12.7%. Of four role model figures, teacher/lecturer figure has the largest contribution by 12,7% toward anti-corruption behavior. Unfortunately, this figure is considered having low anti-corruption behaviour by their student. The result of this research would be recommendation for the government to find the right agent to prevent and intervene corruption behavior and for the students to choose the right figure in fostering anti-corruption behaviour.

Abstract

Students are often faced with many situations that involve the right decision-making process in various situations, such as when choosing courses in each semester, where to live, and activities during the holidays. The perspective of time is one part that is considered in the decision-making process. If someone thinks that they still have a long time, it could be that the individual will delay deciding to consider more things. This research is a quantitative correlational study to determine the effect of the future time perspective on decision making. The sample in this study was 117 students with a simple random sampling method. The instruments used to measure the two variables are the future time perspective survey and the Melbourne decision-making questionnaire, adapted into Indonesian. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25. This study proves that there is an effect of future time perspective on decision making with a predictor contribution of 17%. Keywords: Decision making, future time perspective, student

Abstract

Abstract. Environmental awareness is an introspective behavior of environmental issues. This behavior is very important to develop, especially among schools. Because, in this era, many teenagers have been indifferent to environmental issues. Low environmental awareness, then low our gratitude to nature. The lack of awareness about nature can dilute the noble values in society. This study aims to determine the effect of environmental awareness on gratitude to nature in high school students. This research is a non-experimental quantitative study. Data collection using Environmental Awareness and Gratitude to Nature scales. The data analysis method uses simple linear regression. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling with a sample of 261 subjects. The results showed that there was an influence of 26,3% of environmental awareness on gratitude to nature. Abstract

Tidak hanya di kota, remaja di desa juga turut mengalami problem pengelolaan emosi dikarenakan berbagai isu sosial yang berbenturan dengan perubahan pada diri mereka. Remaja harus mengembangkan konsep diri dan melatih kompetensi sosial sembari mempelajari atau beradaptasi dengan norma atau tuntutan masyarakat pada diri mereka. Kondisi di desa yang umumnya lebih konservatif dan kolektif menghasilkan konflik diri dan sosial pada remaja. Kondisi tersebut dapat menyebabkan emosi yang negatif dan masalah kesehatan mental sehingga remaja perlu mengelola perasaan tersebut secara efektif. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada mengenai kondisi tantangan perkembangan remaja di desa serta elaborasi terhadap konsep teori pengelolaan emosi pada remaja, maka dilakukan pelatihan menulis ekspresif bagi remaja di Desa Tambakrejo. Hasil dari pelatihan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa remaja yang telah berpartisipasi dapat memiliki pengetahuan dan melakukan pengelolaan emosi secara lebih adaptif. Hasil dari menulis ekspresif juga menunjukkan potensi dari teknik tersebut sebagai metode dalam asesmen atau untuk menggali berbagai masalah perkembangan dan kesehatan mental remaja lainnya. Abstract

Elementary school children have the potential to develop positively with the support of their social environment. The more positive experiences presented in a child's daily life, the more likely they are to grow into well-adjusted individuals. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Program Tetirah Bimasakti in reducing challenging behaviors in elementary school children. This study utilized a quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. Participants included six children enrolled in the Program Tetirah Bimasakti, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument employed was the Indonesian version of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) for children. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test. The results indicated a decrease in the participants' difficulty scores; however, there was no significant change in their prosocial scores. This suggests that while the Program Tetirah Bimasakti was effective in reducing difficult behaviors, it was insufficient for fostering prosocial behavior. Consequently, this study implies that relevant institutions should develop structured modules for activity programs that can be tailored to specific and targeted competencies.

Abstract

The critical thinking disposition is one of the key characteristics for success in the global competition of the 21st century. This concept refers to the extent to which a person has a tendency to be skeptical, gather more evidence, and analyze the information encountered. This disposition is generally shared by the students and the scholars in philosophy or a society with a high appreciation of philosophy, science and secularism. Recently there has been an interest in looking more deeply and empirically at the influence of social aspects such as religion and culture on critical thinking disposition. Conflicting research results were found showing the positive and negative influence of religion on critical thinking dispositions. These mixed results indicate the possibility of the presence of a mediator variable that can change the direction of the relationship or influence between the two variables. This research is interested in examining the influence of religiosity on critical dispositions through two pathways. The first path is the direct path of the two variables. Meanwhile, the second path is the path mediated by epistemic beliefs and epistemic emotions. The research results show that epistemic beliefs can be a partial mediator for the causal relationship between religiosity and critical thinking disposition. However, epistemic emotions cannot be a mediator for both variables. These results show that religion, especially in Indonesian Muslims, has a significant influence on a person's critical attitude and that influence can become stronger if accompanied by contextualist epistemic.
