Abstract

Survey results from several salted egg manufacturing businesses where in the process of cleaning eggs from the mud mixture using tools in the form of fibers or wires so that the remaining mud stuck to it can be cleaned. Craftsmen who are experienced enough can only clean around 150 eggs or around 12 kg in one hour, of course this is less efficient if the production scale of the UMKM is large. The partners for this community service activity are UMKM which are engaged in making salted eggs. one of the problems faced is in the process of washing salted eggs, which is a process that is carried out before being marketed, where the process still uses manual washing power using human power, manual washing requires less efficient time so that when there are orders, many UMKM experience problems. to fulfill orders from consumers. UMKM that operate in the egg business sector really need a touch of technology related to the salted egg washing method. With this problem, in Community Service Activities for UMKM, salted egg washing machines will be handed over to partner entrepreneurs, namely UMKM Mak Ngat, Purworejo Village, Suruh District, Semarang Regency. The impact of using a salted egg washing machine on Mak'Ngat UMKM is that the salted egg washing process is more economical, namely when done manually it can clean around 150 eggs or around 12 kg in one hour, but when done using a machine the cleaning capacity reaches 45 kg per hour and this number rose drastically.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang rangka atau frame dari brake lining rivet machine yang kokoh saat diberikan pembebanan statis sesuai perhitungan dapat dilakukan dengan simulasi. Proses simulasi dilakukan menggunakan software solidworks jenis static structural. Material yang digunakan untuk membuat struktur rangka adalah baja ASTM A36 dengan massa jenis 7.850 kg/m3 dan yield strength 374 N/mm2. Kasus pembebanan pada rangka ini terbagi menjadi 2 bagian, yaitu pembebanan pada dudukan press tool dan dudukan aktuator hidrolik. Pada dudukan aktuator terjadi 2 kasus pembebanan, yaitu F1 dan F2 sebesar 107,8 N dan 2.191 N. Serta pada dudukan press tool terjadi kasus pembebanan F3 yaitu sebesar 234.583 N. Hasil von mises stress pada dudukan aktuator adalah 2,978 N/mm2, dengan nilai factor of safety 125. Sedangkan pada dudukan press tool adalah 303,722 N/mm2 dengan factor of safety 1.2. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, nilai von mises stress yang terjadi masih dibawah dari nilai yield strength material dan angka keamanan atau factor of safety diatas angka 1. Sehingga rancangan struktur pada brake lining rivet machine dikategorikan aman dari pembebanan yang diberikan.

Abstract

Semarang State Polytechnic as a tertiary institution implementing the Tri Darma of Higher Education through the 2023 Competitive Community Service program sees several problems faced by UMKM partners, where the service partner who collaborates with us is Mang Ngat UMKM, one of whose businesses is engaged in making salted eggs, where One of the problems faced is that there is no egg washing machine that replaces manual washing of salted eggs, but this problem can be resolved with the provision or donation of a salted egg washing machine in the first stage. The next problem faced by Mang Ngat UMKM service activity partners is that they require knowledge of the machine operation process according to procedures so that the operation is safer for the operator and the machine. Apart from that, Mang Ngat UMKM also need knowledge of the maintenance process for the salted egg washing machine so that the machine can last longer. long. With these problems, in the follow-up activities of Community Service to Mang Ngat UMKM after the provision or grant of egg washing machines, follow-up activities were carried out, namely by carrying out training on the operation and maintenance of salted egg washing machines at Mang Ngat UMKM in the Rasamala market, Srondol Wetan housing complex, Banyumanik sub-district, Semarang city, with After carrying out training on the operation and maintenance of salted egg washing machines, it is hoped that the salted egg washing machines can be operated safely by Mang Ngat UMKM and maintenance can be carried out properly so that the salted egg washing machines can increase their service life.

Abstract

Proses elektroplating bertujuan membentuk permukaan logam dasar. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rapat arus dan waktu elektroplating terhadap nilai pertambahan massa dan ketebalan lapisan. Pengaruh rapat arus dan waktu terhadap pertambahan massa dan ketebalan nikel pada Logam ST-37 dengan metode elektroplating telah dilakukan. Rapat arus dilakukan variasi senilai 8,0; 7,5; 7,0; 6,5; 6 A/dm2 dan waktu kontak dilakukan variasi senilai 5; 7,5; 10; 12,5; 15 menit. Pelapisan Ni pada Logam ST-37 dengan proses elektroplating menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama waktu dan rapat arus yang digunakan dalam pelapisan Ni yang terjadi pada permukaan Logam ST-37 semakin tebal pada rapat arus tetap, yang ditunjukan dengan pertambahan massa dan ketebalan lapisan Nikel.

Abstract

Proses pengolahan kedelai untuk pembuatan tempe sekala menengah kebawah masih menggunakan cara tradisional untuk mengupas dan memisahkan kulit ari kedelai. Permasalahan yang dihadapi relatif sama yaitu efisiensi, kapasitas, dan tingkat kebersihan yang masih rendah. Tujuan dari penenlitian ini adalah untuk merancang mesin pemecah dan pemisah kulit ari kedelai kapasitas 300kg/jam. Mesin pemecah dan pemisah kulit ari menggunakan mekanisme silinder bergerigi otomatis adalah solusi untuk membantu usaha menengah kebawah. Pembuatan mesin pemecah dan pemisah kulit ari kedelai ini dimulai dengan studi literatur, observasi untuk perencanaan, menentukan mekanisme pemecahan dan pemisahan kulit ari, setelah itu menyiapkan komponen untuk pembuatan dan perakitan mesin. Rancang bangun mesin pemecah dan pemisah kulit ari mempunyai mekanisme pengupasan dengan memanfaatkan celah antara silinder bergerigi dengan penyetel yang dapat di atur sesuai dengan jenis kedelai yang akan di kupas. Pengujian mesin dilakukan dengan beberapa variasi celah dan putaran 420 rpm karena merupakan putaran paling optimal sehingga diperoleh sepesifikasi akhir mesin dengan kapasitas hopper 15 kg dan menggunakan motor listrik 0,5 hp 1400 rpm serta dua buah silinder bergerigi dengan celah masing masing 2 mm dengan slider pengupas yang mampu menghasilkan 330kg/jam kedelai bersih yang siap diproses.

Abstract

The partners for this community service activity are UMKM which are engaged in goat slaughtering. One of the problems faced is that the process of removing goat skin is still manual, that is, it still uses human labor, where using human power for the goat skinning process requires less efficient time. Therefore, these UMKM really need a touch of technology related to the goat skin removal method to overcome the problems of UMKM engaged in the business of slaughtering goats and selling goat meat. Therefore, in community service activities, goat skin pulling machines will be handed over to partner entrepreneurs, namely MSMEs. Mak Ngat at the Rasmala market in the Srondol Wetan housing complex, Banyumanik sub-district, Semarang city. Impact After using a goat skin pulling machine for Mak'Ngat UMKM, the goat skinning process is more economical, namely when done manually it can skin 12 goats in one hour, but when done using a machine, 12 goats can be done in 15 minutes and this number has increased drastically

Abstract

Maintenance and repair work in a building or structure is not only in low places, but also in high places which require assistive devices. The assistive device in question is scaffolding. The design of this scaffolding begins with a literature study followed by data collection in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Semarang State Polytechnic to obtain data on the need for height assistive devices which are used as a reference for making electric scaffolding. The purpose of this study is to design an electric scaffolding with a capacity of 300 kg and to perform the performance of the electric scaffolding made. After the design of the electric scaffolding, the dimensions of the equipment were obtained, namely 1000 mm x 1500 mm x 2000 mm and specifications that can lift goods with a maximum height of 5 m, a minimum height of 0.35 m, a maximum load of 300 kg and an AC 220 V electric hoist drive. Based on the results of the performance test, in this case the test data was taken from the weight of the load that the machine can lift based on the travel time when the machine moves up and down. The load weight of 300 kg with electric scaffolding was covered in 27.44 seconds when going up and 21.02 seconds when moving down.
