Abstract

This study is aimed to test the hypothesis that the soil quality of sugarcane plantations closely linked to the particulate organic matter (POM) and earthworm’s populations. The research was conducted at five sites in Malang, East Java. The sites were selected based on differences in average annual rainfall and two types of soil management : with and without organic input. Soil samples taken from a depth of 0-20 cm were analyzed total organic C (TOC), total N, POM-C, and POM-N and earthworm’s population density and biomass. Abstract

Background : The causes of maternal mortality is greatest bleeding (42%), one of which isabortion (11%) (MOH, 2006). More than 80% of abortions occur in the first 12 weeks ofpregnancy, spontaneous bortus risikoa incidence increasing with increasing parity of 12% to26%. Pre survey conducted in hospitals Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, in 2013 asmany as 327 (15.06%) out of 2171 pregnant women. This shows an increase in abortion figuresfrom the year 2006 to year 2007 by 6 cases (0.2%) of pregnant women. Objective : The aim of this study was to determine is there a relationship between parity andhistory of abortion by abortion in hospitals Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto in 2013. Methods : The method used is the analytic survey with case control design, this study usessecondary data was acquired on 2, 3,7, 8, 9, 10, and July 21, making use of purposive samplingtechniques, sample of 96 respondents Results : There is a significant relationship between parity with the incidence of abortion, this isevidenced by the p value (0.0001) <α (0.05). There is a significant association between a historyof abortion by abortion, this is evidenced by the p value (0.0001) <α (0.05). Keywords : parity, history of abortion, abortion.

Abstract

The research aims to empirically analyze the effects of motivation, perceived costs, perceived convenience and perceived usefulness on student interest in participating in competency training. The research object is students of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Semarang University. The number of samples was 96 students. The sampling technique used a systematic random method, namely students of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics. Technique data analysis used multiple regression and classical assumption tests as well as hypothesis testing (t test and F test). The results showed that: (1) Motivation has a positive and significant effect on interest in participating in competency training. (2) Training costs have a negative effect on interest in participating in competency training. (3) Perception of convenience has a positive effect on interest in participating in competency training. (4) Perceived benefits have a positive effect on interest in participating in competency training. The conclusion is that motivation, perceived convenience and benefits have a positive and significant effect on the intention to attend competency training, while the training costs have negative results. The implication: (1) The quality of the training needs to be improved, namely by using a lot of case study questions and practice questions. (2) The material is kept as simple as possible so that it is easily understood by the trainees. (3) Cooperating with institutions that issue competency training tests.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna kematian orangtua bagi remaja. Subjek penelitian adalah remaja putra dan putri yang telah meninggal salah satu atau ke dua orang tuanya, berjumlah sepuluh orang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna kematian orang tua bagi remaja adalah kehilangan. Adapun kehilangan yang dirasakan oleh remaja meliputi kehilangan sosok pemberi perhatian dan kasih sayang, kehilangan model, kehilangan sumber rasa aman, dan kehilangan teman berbagi. Remaja mengungkapkanperasaan kehilangannya dengan menangis, merasa sedih, melakukan penolakan, dan menyesal. Pasca kematian orangtua kebutuhan utama remaja adalah tersedianyafigur pengganti. Figur pengganti yang dapat berfungsi mengisi kehilangan akan menghasilkan perilaku sosial yang bertanggung jawab, membantu remaja menerima kematian orangtua sebagai takdir dan berubah menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik serta tercapainya kemandirian emosional. Sebaliknya figur pengganti yang tidak berfungsi mendorong terjadinya penyimpangan perilaku sosial dan gangguan moral pada remajayang menglami kehilangan.Kata kunci: kematian, orang tua, remaja

Abstract

Abstract: Descriptive research has been conducted to reveal the students' perceptions of the implementation of authentic assessment (authenthic assessment) in the course of technique and management of laboratoryin the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Riau Academic Year 2013/2014. This research was conducted in December 2013 to January 2014. Subjects were students of the 1st semester of Biology Education, Academic Year 2013/2014 amounted to 54 people consisting of 7 men and 47 women. Parameters measured were perceptions of students with indicators of knowledge (Knowledge), reasoning (reasoning), skills (Skill), work (Product), and attitude (Affect). The results showed student perceptions on the implementation of authentic assessment (authenthic assessment) in the course of technique and management of laboratoryin in good categories. Perceptions of students for indicators Knowledge (Knowledge) was 3:44 (good category), indicators of reasoning (reasoning) is 3:24 (good category), indicators of skill (Skill) is 3:47 (good category), the indicator works (Product) is 3.25 (good category) , attitude indicator (Affect) was 3:28 (good category).Keywords: perception, assessment, authentic assessment, technique and management of laboratory

Abstract

The aim of this research was to compare the effect of substitution of Ammonium Sulphate  (AS) fertilizer on sugarcane growth, nutrient content, and soil chemical properties.  This research was conducted on up-land of sugarcane plantation in Tegalweru village, Dau district, Malang regency. This study tested ten treatments consisting of three treatments using AS fertilizer, six treatments using AS substitute fertilizers that used combination of Urea, Gypsum, and bio-compost and one control (no fertilizer). This research used randomized complete block design with three replications. The results showed that the plant growth between the treatment used AS fertilizer and AS substitute was not significantly different. However, the treatment used 400 kg Urea per ha+938 kg Gypsum per ha tended to have the best plant growth and the highest N uptake. For the treatments using AS substitute fertilizer, the higher the application rate was, the higher the soil N and S contents were.  The treatments used AS fertilizer due to lower soil pH than AS substitute fertilizer. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the use of alternative fertilizers as a substitute of the AS fertilizer is recommended to reduce an adverse impact on soil fertility.
