Abstract

Virtual reality (VR) has been shown to be beneficial for educational purposes and has emerged as a prevalent topic for teaching and learning. However, there is very little that is currently known about VR in the context of learning from different fields. This research is a systematic literature review which intends to investigate the future trends of virtual reality for learning by analyzing real-world data obtained from Google Scholar, Crossref, and Google Trends; the first pertinent publication discovered in the database is included as the data of this study. In total, 451 relevant publications from Google Scholar and 999 relevant publications from Crossref have been identified by utilizing content analysis. Based on the findings, VR is an immensely new and emerging worldwide topic that involves authors and connections from various countries. Overall, the significant increase in publications on “virtual reality for learning” (as a source of knowledge) in recent years corresponds to the growing trend of Internet searches on “virtual reality for learning” (as a practical demand). These findings contribute to a reference, to promote, to adjust and re-align VR in workplace learning. This study only covers publication trends, including the number of publications per year and the source types of publications, as well as internet search trends from 2004 to 2022.

Abstract

This meta-analysis study explores the effectiveness of technology-enhanced language learning in the context of English language teaching. Through a comprehensive review of relevant literature, various research studies were examined to gain insights into the impact and potential of technology in language learning. The findings highlight that the use of new technologies positively contributes to learners' language learning skills and enhances their overall proficiency. Mobile learning and ICT tools have been identified as effective resources that facilitate English language learning by providing accessible and efficient learning environments. Additionally, the research indicates that technology-supported language learning is as effective as learning with human teachers, indicating the potential of technology to offer personalized and tailored learning experiences. However, it is crucial to provide teachers with proper training and support to confidently integrate technology into their teaching practices. Educational institutions should offer comprehensive training programs and allocate sufficient time for teachers to enhance their technological skills and confidently utilize educational technologies. These findings underscore the importance of technology in enhancing language learning outcomes and emphasize the need for ongoing support and professional development for teachers in integrating technology into language teaching.

Abstract

Bahasa mencerminkan kepribadian seseorang dalam berkomunikasi atau berinteraksi. Dalam hal demikian, penting untuk mempelajari dan mengetahui bahasa yang santun agar komunikasi berjalan lancar dan tidak terjadi kesalahpahaman. Tujuna penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui analisis kesantunan berbahasa (language etiquette) mahasiswa teknik mesin polines dalam berkomunikasi tertulis dengan dosen. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Adapun data koresponden 130 Mahasiswa Diploma. Hasil penelitian ini Dan dalam hasil analisis ANOVA juga dapat diketahui bahwa pada bagian ini ditampilkan hasil yang diperoleh adalah nilai F= 0.197 dengan tingkat probilitas sig. 0,022, oleh karena signifikansi < alpha (0,05) jauh lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya Terdapat Pengaruh yang signifikan Tingkat kesantunan Berbahasa Mahasiswa Teknik Polines dalam Komunikasi tertulis dengan Dosen.

Abstract

Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is a dynamic educational approach that holds the potential to enhance language proficiency, content knowledge acquisition, and academic achievement among students. By integrating language learning with subject content, CLIL provides students with immersive and meaningful learning experiences that facilitate communicative competence, critical thinking skills, and intercultural awareness. Discussions surrounding CLIL implementation have emphasized its potential to transform language education and promote multilingualism in diverse educational contexts. Key findings from research on CLIL suggest that participation in CLIL programs can lead to improvements in students' language proficiency across various linguistic skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Additionally, CLIL facilitates deeper comprehension and retention of subject matter by providing authentic contexts for learning and promoting interdisciplinary connections. Students participating in CLIL programs demonstrate comparable or even superior levels of content knowledge acquisition compared to those in traditional subject-based instruction, highlighting the effectiveness of CLIL in promoting academic success and critical thinking skills. However, the success of CLIL implementation hinges on various factors, including teacher preparation, institutional support, and resource allocation. Educators play a central role in the success of CLIL programs, requiring specialized training and ongoing professional development to effectively integrate language and content instruction. Institutional support is essential for creating conducive environments for CLIL implementation, while adequate resources are critical for optimizing learning experiences and addressing the diverse needs of learners.

Abstract

Spreader Assy is an integral part of the Jabodebek LRT train delivery. This part serves as an elevating device for the carriage. The installation of the spreader assembly to the train body poses a hazard to operators and work instruments, is too lengthy, and does not adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). This issue is due to the implementation of the spreader assembly, which is still supported by crowbars, wood, and an iron plate. This study's objective is to analyze the design of the hydraulic lifter for the operator's convenience and safety when installing the spreader assembly. Hydraulic jack, base plate, and lifting plate are the primary components of this instrument. Based on FEA analysis, the stress that occurs in the hydraulic lifter construction after receiving the spreader assy load of 225.18 kg is between 3,312,239 N/m2 and 6,624,476 N/m2, whereas the yield strength of the SS400 material is 250,000,000 N/m2 because the stress is greater than the yield strength of the material. Since the maximum value is still well below the material's yield stress, it can be concluded that the hydraulic lifter construction can safely support the burden of the spreader assembly
