<![CDATA[This quantitative study aimed at finding out the effectiveness of self and peer-correction techniques in teaching writing at the twelfth graders of MAS Muallimin NW Boro Tumbuh in the academic year 2022/2023. The samples of this study were taken through random sampling technique consisting of 25 students. The data were collected from pre-test and post-test. The gained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test. This test was administrated to know answer the hypothesis. The result of the study indicated that self and peer-correction technique was significantly effective in teaching writing for the twelfth graders of MAS Muallimin NW Boro Tumbuh in the academic year 2022/2023. This can be seen from the result of the students’ mean score in the pre-test and post-test. In the pre-test, the mean score was 8.07 with the standard deviation 1.809. In the post-test, whereas, the mean score was 9.77 and the standard deviation was 2.221. The result proved that the pre-test was lower than the post-test. In addition, the hypothesis testing showed that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In a nutshell, the self and peer—correction technique is an advisable technique to apply by the English teacher in their writing class.]]>

<![CDATA[Word cards are exactly the right media for students to enrich students’ vocabulary mastery. To prove this argumentation this study was focus on using word cards on students’ achievement in learning vocabulary in classroom. This study used an experimental design and to collect the data, the present researcher used multiple choices instrument (vocabulary test) to get students’ score in learning vocabulary. In analyzing data, the present researcher used t-test to find out the effectiveness of the word card in teaching vocabulary. The result of analysis data that the t-test was 0.74 and t-table was 0.44 with level of significance (95%) from the total of sample was twenty students. It means t-test was higher than t-table (0.74 0.44). Thus, mean alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. This founding means that there was a significantly effective of using word cards on students’ achievement in learning vocabulary for the tenth grade of MA NW Sikur in the school year 2021-2022.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to know the extent effect of the shadowing technique in developing students' abilities at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. The method used in this study is quasi-experiment, involving two classes as the experiment class. The sample consists of 78 students in the third (3rd) semester. The data collection techniques used are observation sheets and audio tests that must be followed by students. The result of this study then calculates utilizing SPSS to know the difference between the Pre-Test and Post-Test. The result of this study shows that there is an effect of the shadowing technique on students' speaking ability at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. It can be proved by the result of the hypothesis test, which showed a significant level of 0.000, which means <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected.]]>

<![CDATA[Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berjudul Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris Dengan Metode Integrated Skill Bagi Santri Pondok Pesantren Raudatuttholibin NW Paokmotong Kecamatan Masbagik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membantu para siswa yang kesulitan dalam berbahasa inggris dengan menggunakan metode Integrated Skill. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengancara memberikan pelatihan kepada para santri dalam mengintegrasikan kemampuan bahasa inggris. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah para santri pondok pesantren menunjukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris yang cukup signifikan setelah mendapatkan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Peningkatan ketrampilan tersebut meliputi, membaca, membuat kalimat sederhana, dan berbicarapara selain itu para siswa sedikit demi sedikit lebih berani untuk mencoba berbicara di depan kelas. Hal ini menjadi pemicu peserta yang lain untuk melakukan hal serupa. Sehingga suasana kelas menjadi lebih interaktif dan aktif.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this Community Service activity is to help English teachers at the PAUD level in West Sikur village to find, create and apply materials for English teaching and learning activities interactively and according to the children's ages. To achieve this goal, the training method is through training and theoretical deepening. The results of this activity can be described in general as follows: participants were able to understand the theoretical basis for teaching English in kindergarten or PAUD, participants were able to recognize several English songs that could be used for teaching. participants are able to combine songs and movements to help teach English, participants know and try to read simple English stories, participants are able to create simple media to help teach English, participants are able to plan learning activities with fun activities, and participants know and practice several types of games to help with teaching.]]>

<![CDATA[TOEFL is an English test that is used to measure a person's English language skills. Test takers usually need the results of this test to continue their education in higher education, get job opportunities and apply for scholarships. To improve the grades and quality of their English skills, students take English courses outside of school or join special English training. Therefore, this test is considered to be very important and needs to be mastered. This test covers all the skills that must be mastered in English so it is not surprising for us to introduce this test not only for English students but for other study programs who want to learn English. The aim of this activity is to introduce types of English language tests using the TOEFL test, with the hope that this can be initial capital for students who want to continue their studies to a higher level or want to seek scholarships from the government. The outcome of this activity is that students are able to recognize and master the types of questions that will be tested in the English test so that it can help students to get maximum test results.]]>

<![CDATA[Fishbowl strategy is extremely significant strategy in teaching speaking skill especially English for the language learners. This study focus on finding the effect of fishbowl strategy in teaching speaking ability for the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Terara in the school year 2023. This study was an experimental research. The population of this study was all the the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Terara in the school year 2020. The sample of this study was 32 students. In collecting the data, this study used speaking test instrument. Then, to analyze the data this study used descriptive statistic and testing hypothesis. The result of this study found that the mean score of experimental group was 41.2 and for the control group was 40.5. In testing the hypothesis was found that t-test was 2.948 and t-table in significant rank 5% was 2.10 (2.948 > 2.10), those founding means that the hypothesis was accepted. It means that there is an effect of fishbowl strategy toward speaking ability and the students.]]>

<![CDATA[The importance of soft skills for the younger generation is the basis for the preparation of this Community Partnership Program (PKM). The focus of this community service activity is to increase the interest in learning English for the people in highlanders based on environmental/nature folklore books and to increase the soft skills of Karang Taruna partners in Pemepek Village, Pringgarata District. The specific objective of this PKM is to increase interest in learning and improve English skills (soft skills). Some of the methods used in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are question and answer and discussion methods to identify knowledge and supporting technology. The lecture method is used during the learning process and theoretical understanding of English. The results of community service that has been trained show that learning English based on nature-themed storybooks is easier to understand by the students being taught. By using this method, there is a pretty good increase for students. Apart from that, other results obtained were that youth and children absorbed English learning material more quickly and this activity was also a starting point for other activities.]]>

<![CDATA[Pada tingkat mahasiswa, keterampilan menulis sangat diperlukan untuk mengungkapkan pemikiran atau gagasan yang dimilikinya dalam bentuk tulisan akademis. Menulis teks akademik merupakan suatu kegiatan akademik yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan tulisan akademik. Penulisan akademik yang dipelajari pada jenjang perguruan tinggi pada mata kuliah penulisan akademik adalah penulisan gagasan dalam bentuk proposal penelitian, makalah, ringkasan buku, artikel, dan laporan yang ditulis secara logis dan sistematis dalam bentuk laporan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis akademik mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Academic Writing dengan menggunakan Project Based Learning (PBL). Penerapan Metode Based Learning berfokus pada permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan penulisan karya ilmiah baik berupa artikel ilmiah maupun artikel akademik dengan menggunakan metode Project Based Learning. Dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan sebagai sampel dipilih mahasiswa kelas A semester 5 Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen: observasi, wawancara dan kuesioner untuk menganalisis data dalam bentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model PBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis akademik. Peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari hasil pre-test siswa yang awalnya sebesar 63,87%, dan setelah dilakukan penelitian ini hasil post-test akademik menulis siswa meningkat menjadi 84%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, implikasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu menulis artikel atau tulisan akademik sesuai dengan kaidah yang tertera pada indikator penelitian.]]>

<![CDATA[In the current era, English has become an essential language to master, prompting many people to compete to acquire proficiency. This community service activity aims to support the enhancement of students' English daily communication skills as part of the flagship foreign language program for students at the Barokatul Walidain Pijot Islamic Boarding School. The implementation of this activity began with an introductory socialization session. Subsequently, the community service activities were conducted in the form of training using three methods: lectures, discussions, and practice. Evaluation results from the beginning to the end of the program demonstrated significant improvement. The materials provided in this activity highly motivated participating students to learn English. The students were enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed participating in all the activities of the community service program conducted by the team.]]>
