Abstract

This study propose to find out the different effect between Content Based Instruction and Task Based Instruction in teaching speaking skill. The population of the study is the second year students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Ishlah Ireng Lauq with totaling students 222 and consisting of 6 classes. 74 students are taken as the samples which are divided into two groups; i.e. “X” group and “Y” group consisting of 37 students for each group. To get the whole data needed, test instruments in the forms of post-test was employed. Having deeply analyzed the whole data it is found that the student’s ability using Content Based Instruction method is higher than the students using Task Based Instruction method. This fact can also be seen from the mean score of “X” group which reaches 77, 18 and the means core of “Y” group which reaches 74, 59. This can also simply mean that the use of Content Based Instruction method and Task Based Instruction have different effect in teaching speaking skill in the second year students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Ishlah Ireng Lauq. Furthermore, Based on the statistical computation, interval confidence of 90%, 80% (0, 10 and 0, 20) t-test= 0,804 is lower than t-table=1,688 and 1,306. Which is automatically means that the both of them are not suitable for teaching spiking skill.

Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the effect of audio-lingual method in teaching speaking of MTs MTs Al-Amin NW Bagek Empat. The method used to analyze the obtaining data was an experimental research. The sample of this study was divided into two groups those were experimental group and control group. Each group consist of 40 students. The result of this study was significant by using of audio-lingual method in teaching speaking. It was proved by the result of t-test was 6.665 and t-table was 1.617 (6.665>1.617) mean scores of experimental groups were 1.8, while for control group were 0.65. Based on the hypothesis that was proposed the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa MTs. Darul Furqan NW Mengukur dalam menggunakan short functional text didalam berbicara. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan descriptive quantitative. Setelah mengumpulkan data dan menghitung total nilai yang diperoleh oleh siswa melalui tes, peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa kelas delapan mempunyai kemampuan dalam menggunakan short functional text dalam berbicara. Kategori yang digunakan untuk mengukur persentase kemampuan siswa adalah rendah, menengah/sedang, dan tinggi. Adapun level yang diperoleh oleh siswa kelas delapan dalam penelitian ini adalah level menengah. Oleh karna itu bisa disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas delapan MTs. Darul Furqan NW Mengkur didalam berbicara menggunakan short functional text cukup memadai.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain an overview of improving speaking skills and self-regulated students of English education of Institute Pendidikan Nusantara Global in the implementation of English area. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted at the Institute Pendidikan Nusantara Global (IPNG) Aikmual Lombok Tengah NTB. After the data is obtained the researcher further analyzes and tests the validity of the data by validating the data using data source triangulation tests and data collection techniques. The data of this research collected through practice test (Themes: environment, culture, health, education) and non-test (interview guidelines, self-regulated questionnaires and documentation studies). Based on the results of test and data analysis it can be concluded that the ability of students in improving speaking skills using English area is very effective and needs to be applied and developed. The application of English area can improve students’ speaking skills and self-regulated.

Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the improving of writing skill (WS) and self-development (SD) students of MA by applying the Grammar Translation Method (GTM). This research is qualitative research. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) NW Mengkuru, East Lombok, NTB. The data of this research collected through test and non-test. Based on the results of test and data analysis it can be concluded that the ability of students in improving writing skills using grammar translation method is very effective and needs to be applied and developed. The application of grammar translation method can improve students’ writing skills and self-development.

Abstract

This study aimed at knowing the correlation between the character of English teacher with the students’ learning motivation in teaching and learning process of eighth grade students of MTs NW Kalijaga. This study was designed as descriptive quantitative research and in collecting the data in this investigating the researcher used the non-test technique (questionnaire). The instrument (questionnaire) of data collection about the character of teacher and students’ motivation in teaching and learning process by using the scale which was prepared five answers alternatives are: score 5 for the students who answer solid (sangat setuju: SS), score 4 for the students who answer agree (setuju: St), score 3 for the students who answers uncertain (ragu-ragu: RG), score 2  for the students who answers disagree (tidak setuju: TS),  score 1  for the students who answers really disagree (sangat tidak setuju: STS). The result of the correlation computation by correlation between teacher’s character and students’ motivation in teaching learning process. The score obtained from the data analysis = 0,461, the score refer that the correlation was susfficient.

Abstract

This quantitative study aimed at finding out the effectiveness of self and peer-correction techniques in teaching writing at the twelfth graders of MAS Muallimin NW Boro Tumbuh in the academic year 2022/2023. The samples of this study were taken through random sampling technique consisting of 25 students. The data were collected from pre-test and post-test. The gained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test. This test was administrated to know answer the hypothesis. The result of the study indicated that self and peer-correction technique was significantly effective in teaching writing for the twelfth graders of MAS Muallimin NW Boro Tumbuh in the academic year 2022/2023. This can be seen from the result of the students’ mean score in the pre-test and post-test. In the pre-test, the mean score was 8.07 with the standard deviation 1.809. In the post-test, whereas, the mean score was 9.77 and the standard deviation was 2.221. The result proved that the pre-test was lower than the post-test. In addition, the hypothesis testing showed that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In a nutshell, the self and peer—correction technique is an advisable technique to apply by the English teacher in their writing class.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted in response to the fact that most students at SMK Dane Rahil’s Tourism Department didn’t have proper English-speaking skills to work in tourism industry. Hence, the aimed this research: (1) to find out whether there are significant effects of tourism activities in the Gili Islands towards students’ speaking skills in the twelfth grade of SMK Dane Rahil Lenek; (2) to find out how tourism activities in Gili Islands affected students’ speaking skills in the twelfth grade of SMK Dane Rahil Lenek.This research used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest with purposive sampling technique. The treatment provided was internship programs in Gili Islands. The subjects of research were students of the twelfth grade of SMK Dane Rahil Lenek from tourism department. They were 24 students in total. It was conducted from December 2021 to March 2022. Tests and questionnaire were used as instruments. The SPSS 26 for Windows was used for analysis. The pretest cumulative average score was 2.9, minimum score was 2.4 and maximum was 3.4. It indicated that students’ speaking skills are poor. After the treatment, students were post tested with the results that cumulative average score was 4.2, minimum score was 3.6 and maximum was 4.8. It showed that tourism activities had significant effects towards students’ speaking skills. Whereas questionnaire results showed that students’ intense participation within activities had made them speak English frequently and improved their speaking skills significantly

Abstract

The aim of this Community Service (PKM) is to add insight and new experiences for teachers, especially for English teachers in MTs. Janwary NW Borok, East Lombok. The stages carried out in this PKM are: Managing all the completeness of the PKM, Identification of problems, Providing Assistance and Guidance, Monitoring and Evaluation of Implementation. The Community Service Program conducted by MTs. Janwary NW Borok Lombok Timur NTB obtained very satisfactory results as monitoring and evaluation had been carried out several times according to the set time. With the socialization and coaching through this PKM, students feel more confident in pronouncing English even though there are still many vocabulary words that have not been mastered, but students feel motivated and excited to develop their English skills.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to explain how Educational Policy is carried out in accordance with Economic Era 4.0 and Societies 5.0 resolves. Until the Build Society 5.0 idea came. 4.0 industrial revolution the study's results suggest that the technology's role in the 4.0 industrial revolution should be expanded to construct a society 5.0 model of a wealthier and civilized human existence. It is vital to adapt relevant learning patterns for Indonesians in particularly to train people for the 4.0 industrial revolution and society 5.0. Eight national curriculum standard school reform policies should be reinforced in their execution in Education Management. A new paradigm of school administration based on information artificial intelligence and technology must be established to assist the deployment of a learning system in the period of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
