So the purpose of this study is to find out the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee in the international market. The analysis tools used are Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Export Product Dynamic (EPD) to see the competitiveness of exports of coffee bean commodities (HS 1801) to destination countries. The results of the analysis by the RCA method show that Indonesian coffee beans have an average value of RCA greater than one in the export destination country. Based on the results of the EPD analysis showed that Indonesia's coffee beans export destination countries occupy the position of rising star only Japan, Germany, Belgium and India which are not included. Japan and Belgium are in the falling star position, India has lost opportunity and in the meantime Germany is in a retreat position.

Abstract

Silkworms (Tubifex sp.) are a natural feed that plays a crucial role in fish hatchery activities due to their high protein content and easy digestion by fish larvae. The sustainable availability of silkworms is crucial for the success of fish seed production at the Mesuji Regency Fish Seed Center (BBI). However, various obstacles remain in its implementation, such as supply instability, dependence on suppliers from outside the region, price fluctuations, and the risk of quality degradation during the distribution process. This study aims to analyze the condition of silkworm raw material fulfillment, identify the obstacles faced, and formulate strategies that can be implemented to support fish hatchery activities at the BBI in Mesuji Regency. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of managers and technicians from the Mesuji Regency Fish Seed Center (BBI) involved in fish hatchery activities and silkworm procurement. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that silkworms are the primary natural food used in the larval stage of fish and play a crucial role in increasing the growth and survival rate of fry. The main obstacles faced in fulfilling silkworm needs include unstable supply availability, dependence on external suppliers, and fluctuations in price and quality. The strategies implemented by the BBI Mesuji Regency include collaboration with several suppliers, feed requirement planning, silkworm use management, and quality control. The most potential strategy to support the sustainability of fish hatchery activities is the development of independent silkworm cultivation to ensure supply continuity, improve natural food quality, and reduce dependence on external suppliers.

Abstract

The Mustika Rahayu community group is engaged in tilapia cultivation for consumption, located in Karangtengah Village, Cibadak District, Sukabumi Regency. The downturn due to the Covid-19 pandemic is also experienced by this business group, and this condition is getting worse due to low skills on how to cultivate tilapia properly and correctly, the high price of feed and medicines, and the lack of knowledge to do fish farming online. The results of the assistance and training activities for tilapia cultivation skills carried out to partners, namely the Mustika Rahayu fish farming business group, empower them, as evidenced by the following: 1) increased partner knowledge about tilapia cultivation in round ponds with biofloc system/technology; 2) increased knowledge and skills of partners in conducting good tilapia farming; and 3) increased tilapia production by 40% from before the implementation of the activity. This Community Empowerment (PKM) project had a positive impact, especially on partners who were able to cultivate tilapia properly in biofloc ponds.
