Abstract

As an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the government issued a policy for schools to implement online learning since March 2020. Was online learning effective during the Covid-19 pandemic. The object that the writer examined was the ability to speak and tell stories in class VII Sentosa School students. Because maybe online learning at home is less effective so students are asked to look for it from various sources. During online learning, teachers are required to be more innovative, and teachers must change and create new teaching methods so that teaching and learning activities are not boring and monotonous. Sentosa School grade 7 researchers and tutors conduct online storytelling activities in English. Researchers apply learning to tell stories with the media of hand puppets and discussion methods. This online field research was conducted using a quantitative approach with the discussion method.

Abstract

Purpose of The Research is to find out the effectiveness of frequency in giving assignments on English learning outcomes at grade 6th students at Global Persada Mandiri Elementary School Bekasi. The instrument for obtaining research data was the results of test given to students in two different classes with different methods of giving. The method of this research is experiment method, the population was all class VI students at SD Global Persada Mandiri Bekasi. This research involving 60 samples which taken randomly. Based on the result of the research conducted, it is proven that there is an effect of the frequency of assignments on English learning outcomes with the results of the control class research calculations where the mean value is (65,9), median (64,6), and the mode(65,1) for the experimental class obtained a mean value of (73,9), median (71,2) and mode (72,5). Then the results of the hypothesis test a fairing of 3,88 and of 1,644. In testing the H0 it is rejected if is greater than . The results of the t-test show that > where 3,88>1,644. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the frequency in giving assignments on the English learning outcomes at grade sixth of Global Persada Mandiri Bekasi. ABSTRAKTujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas frekuensi pemberian tugas terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas 6 SD Global Persada Mandiri Bekasi. Instrumen untuk memperoleh data penelitian adalah hasil tes yang diberikan kepada siswa di dua kelas yang berbeda dengan metode pemberian yang berbeda. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen, populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI SD Global Persada Mandiri Bekasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 60 sampel yang diambil secara acak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terbukti terdapat pengaruh frekuensi penugasan terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris dengan hasil perhitungan penelitian kelas kontrol dimana nilai mean (65,9), median (64, 6), dan modus (65,1) pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai mean (73,9), median (71,2) dan modus (72,5). Kemudian hasil uji hipotesis fairing sebesar 3,88 dan sebesar 1,644. Dalam pengujian H0 ditolak jika lebih besar dari . Hasil uji t menunjukkan > dimana 3,88>1,644. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh frekuensi pemberian tugas terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris kelas VI Global Persada Mandiri Bekasi.

Abstract

Possessing a strong vocabulary enhances students' communication skills, enabling them to express ideas effectively. Observations revealed issues such as limited vocabulary, inability to grasp word meanings, difficulty in producing new words, and memorization challenges among some students. To address these issues, various methods and habits, including listening to English songs, can improve vocabulary. Repeated listening to English songs becomes a habit, exposing students to new vocabulary in song lyrics. This research aimed to investigate the correlation between students' habit of listening to English songs and their vocabulary mastery among 8th-grade students at Mts Yusufiyah Jakarta Timur. The study utilized a quantitative approach, including prerequirement tests (normality and linearity), with a sample of 30 students from class VIII Mts Yusufiyah. Data collection involved questionnaires and tests, with analysis using a T-test. Results indicated a significant positive correlation (r = 0.644) between students' habit of listening to English songs (X) and their vocabulary mastery (Y), with a significance level (α) of 0.05. The p-value (2-tailed) was 0.00, smaller than 0.05, confirming the correlation's significance. Thus, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. In conclusion, there is a strong and positive correlation between the habit of listening to English songs and vocabulary mastery

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam mengembangkan self-awareness anak usia dini melalui metode Self-Reflection Activities di TK Islam Nailufar. Self-awareness merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan sosial-emosional anak yang menjadi fondasi bagi kemampuan regulasi emosi dan interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, studi dokumentasi, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan partisipan utama dua guru kelas. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi guru meliputi tiga tahap: (1) perencanaan dengan merancang kegiatan reflektif seperti emotional check-in, menggambar perasaan, storytelling reflektif, dan latihan mindfulness; (2) pelaksanaan melalui komunikasi empatik, penggunaan media reflektif (papan emosi, cermin, boneka), serta menciptakan suasana kelas yang aman secara emosional; dan (3) evaluasi serta tindak lanjut yang dilakukan melalui observasi perilaku anak, diskusi reflektif, serta penguatan positif yang berkelanjutan. Guru juga menyesuaikan kegiatan dengan tahap perkembangan dan karakteristik individual anak. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Self-Reflection Activities dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk menumbuhkan self-awareness anak usia dini bila dilaksanakan secara konsisten, kontekstual, dan didukung guru.

Abstract

Pendidikan potensial tahap awal pertumbuhan anak dapat di peroleh dari orang tuanya. Seorang Ibu memiliki peran penting dalam hal penerapan pola asuh dalam memahami anak sesuai dengan kondisinya. Peran Ibu Rumah tangga yang mampu menerapkan pola asuh demokratis akan menjadikan anak memiliki kecerdasan kognitif yang lebih baik sesuai tahap perkembangannya. Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah tentang peran pola asuh pada Ibu rumah tangga dalam menstimulasi perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini di rentang usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus di lembaga PAUD Aspirasi Desa Muktiwari Cibitung Kabupaten Bekasi Jawa Barat. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pola asuh tipe demokrasi yang diterapkan oleh Ibu rumah tangga dapat menstimulasi perkembangan kognitif anak-anaknya terutama pada tahapan praoperasional direntang usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini telah dianalisa berdasarkan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, catatan anekdot dari guru kelas dan dokumentasi pada lima anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan metode yang diterapkan dalam pola asuh demokrasi berhasil menstimulasi anak usia dini dalam proses belajarnya melalui penguatan pembiasaan yang dibuat oleh Ibu dan guru untuk menstimulasi kecerdasan kognitif anak..

Abstract

Teaching English to young children plays a crucial role in shaping their language development and laying a solid foundation for future learning. Early mastery of English provides children with long-term advantages that influence both academic success and professional opportunities. Scholars and educational institutions recognize early childhood as a critical period for cognitive and linguistic growth, which makes the selection of effective teaching strategies essential. This study explores the integration of music and movement as strategies for teaching English to preschool learners. The use of rhythm, melody, and physical activity in the classroom is expected to create a multisensory learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles. Previous studies, such as Lestari (2019), have demonstrated that combining songs with movement significantly enhances vocabulary acquisition in preschool-aged children. Additionally, kinesthetic learning activities have been shown to improve comprehension and memory through active engagement. This approach is aligned with the Direktorat PAUD (2015) guidelines, which emphasize a holistic model of early childhood education that integrates cognitive, emotional, and physical development. By examining the role of music and movement in the classroom at Mighty Minds Preschool, this study aims to highlight how these strategies contribute to vocabulary growth, emotional engagement, and classroom interaction. The findings are anticipated to provide valuable insights into innovative pedagogical methods that can enhance English learning in early childhood education
