Abstract

AbstractThis research investigates the role of cash waqf as a Islamic social fund in eradicating poverty in Special Region of Yogyakarta. Researchers combine both of quantitative and qualitative research methods (triangulation) to increase the perceived quality of research findings. To answer the problems, researchers employe three steps analysis, firstly forecasting with statistical approach using the weighted moving average method; secondly cash waqf simulation; and thirdly researchers propose The New Integrated Model Of Cash Waqf Information System. The results of this study has succesfully answered the progress of cash waqf, the support of stakeholders (government, financial institutions and society) to achieve target of cash waqf. Based on the forecasting moving average method, it can be seen that the collected fund of cash waqf is still very fluctuating in some future period following the trend of cash waqf fund before. In the simulation of cash waqf based on expenditure distribution at DIY , to reach the target of cash waqf in one year, for example in 2018, that is equal to Rp. 684,646,315.33, each household only spend about of Rp. 60,000 to Rp. 80,000 per year. If all Muslim societies especially at DIY have realized the importance of cash waqf, then the potential cash waqf cant be maximized and the flow of cash waqf returns can be distributed to strengthen the social pillars of the region such as poverty, hunger, health and eduaction. Keywords: cash waqf, eradicating poverty, forecasting, simulation, integrated model

Abstract

Cash Waqf-Linked Sukuk (CWLS), which integrates cash waqf instruments and sovereign Sukuk, is an innovative Islamic investment product with social and spiritual dimensions. This study investigates public intention to participate in Retail CWLS (SWR) using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework with the addition of other relevant constructs. An online survey was conducted using the purposive sampling technique and involved 130 respondents. The data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) supported by WarpPLS. The results indicate that Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Transparency (PT), and Trust in the Indonesian Waqf Board and Waqf Institutions have a significant positive effect on individual Intention to participate in Retail CWLS. Furthermore, this study reveals that Trust could partially mediate the relationship between PU and individual Intention. However, Religiosity fails to moderate the relationship between PU and individual Intention to purchase SWR. The study also demonstrated other complementary statistical outputs such as split-sample, non-linear relationships among latent variables, effect size, and the Q-squared coefficient to ensure that the processed data were robust. Also, this finding indirectly implies that CWLS is not only targeted at the Muslim community but also for general investors from other religions and beliefs.

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has a significant impact on the economy, one of the most affected business scales is micro and small businesses. Regarding this potential problem, the central government issued a policy package in the form of financial incentives for various sectors of tourism, aviation and property services, as well as additional subsidies and tax cuts. The author uses a quantitative approach, where data sources are obtained by spreading questionnaires in the Central Java region. Then the results are processed using the SPSS program. Based on this, this study aims to explore how much effectiveness in terms of policy implementation and how the level of local government participation in the policy. The results showed that of the five policies for MSMEs, the provision of working capital incentives has the highest percentage index, this shows that in the short term, the provision of working capital incentives in the form of cash assistance will have a direct impact on MSME.Keywords: Governance Policy, Governance Participation, SMEs Sustainability,   Pandemic Covid-19 Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak signifikan terhadap perekonomian, salah satu skala usaha yang paling terdampak adalah usaha mikro dan kecil.
