Abstract

Lifting Sunda culture in this Retired Sinetron Freeman become fascination a look on because of setting, dialectal of Ianguage, and comedy situation in its story jell with atmosphere of kesundaan and town of Bandung. Retired Freeman narrate life of group "small" freeman mastering terminal area, market and merchant of cloister in town of Bandung. The Reality freeman many in men domination, so becoming this research inspiratif for mendeskripsikan and analyse Sunda men image which is construction differen in this sinteron. Research use descriptive approach qualitative with analysis of semiotik model Charles Sanders Peirce. Result of analysis there are ten figure picture player of men in Retired Freeman sinetron which is representasi as cultural men image of Sunda having meaning in life, namely as follows 1) Men Sunda have style fashion in dressing as image identity, 2) Men Sunda have the understanding of Sunda character and ethos namely, "Cageur, Bageur, Bener, Singer, and Pinter,” 3) Men Sunda inculcate life value "Silih Asah, Silih Asuh and Silih Asih" in society and family, and 4) Men Sunda prefer pattern "Riung Mumpulung or Bengkung ngariung bongkok ngaronyok" namely shake together with family and brother in a state of liking and is hard. Abstract

Visitors to the culinary tourism at Payungi Market in Metro City are increasing, since Payungi Market has implemented smart tourism, which is an approach that utilizes information and communication technology in the tourism industry. This approach aims to improve efficiency, accessibility and experience for tourists. Payungi Market uses communication technology such as mobile applications, websites, Instagram social media, and geographic information systems, to simplify information and facilitate interactions with tourists. This research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The aim of this method is to find out how to apply the smart tourism concept and its use. This research data was collected through observations on social media, research locations and literature studies from both domestic and foreign journals. The research results show that the payungi market has succeeded in achieving the three elements in the smart tourism concept, namely Smart experience, Smart business ecosystem and Smart destination, which aims to increase culinary promotion, excellent service and social and business facilities through creative, interesting and useful information for people so they can participate, do things and experiences that have value for themselves.

Abstract

AbstractThis research discusses social phenomena childfree in mass media (books) which are one of the agendas of the feminism movement. Victoria Tunggono is the first Indonesian writer who voice childfree loudly through her book entitled "Childfree and Happy". This research uses qualitative methods and Sara Mills critical discourse analysis and feminism theory to find out how this book represents feminism from childfree issues. The result of this research is childfree has described through causes, effects, and arguments using an effective language so that the readers can understand and highlight the side of feminism easily. The feminism side shown through subject-object and writer-reading classification and word and sentence level analysis refers to representations that emphasize the issue of women's bodies and women as objects. The conclusion is the book has representation radical feminism. Because the issue of women's bodies and women as objects is related to the basic concepts of radical feminism, namely patriarchy, family, and women as subordinates.Keywords : Childfree, Critical Discourse Analysis Of Sara Mills, Feminisme AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas tentang fenomena sosial dalam media cetak (buku) yang menjadi salah satu agenda gerakan feminisme, yaitu childfree. Victoria Tunggono merupakan penulis Indonesia pertamayang berani menyuarakan childfree lewat bukunya yang berjudul ”Childfree and Happy”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills serta teori feminisme untuk dapat mengetahui bagaimana buku ini merepresentasikan sisi feminisme dalam isu childfree. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah childfree digambarkan melaluipenyebab, pengaruh, dan argumen dengan menggunakan bahasa sehari-hari dan istilah yang mudah dipahami pembaca dan menonjolkan sisi feminisme. Sisi feminisme yang ditunjukkan melalui klasifikasi subjek-objek dan penulis-membaca dan analisis level kata dan kalimat merujuk pada representasi yang tekankan pada isu ketubuhan perempuan dan perempuan sebagai objek. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa representasi feminisme yang disajikan dalam buku ini mengarah kepada feminisme radikal. Karena isu ketubuhan perempuan dan perempuan sebagai objek berkaitan dengan konsep-konsep dasar pemikiran feminisme radikal yakni patriarkat, keluarga, dan perempuan sebagai subordinasi.Kata Kunci :Analisis Wacana Kritis Sara Mills, Childfree, Feminisme,

Abstract

Abstrak - Kebijakan TKDN (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri) dan penerapan IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) oleh pemerintah terhadap peredaran smartphone melalui Kementerian Perindustrian dan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informasi menimbulkan perhatian publik. Isu pelarangan peredaran iPhone 16 karena belum memiliki nilai minimal TKDN yang dipersyaratkan, memicu polemik dan praktik pembelian secara ilegal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis framing pemberitaan Kompas.com terkait kebijakan tersebut dengan menggunakan analisis Robert Entman. Selain itu penelitian ini juga berusaha untuk menggali tanggapan generasi milenial pengguna iPhone 16 terhadap penerapan larangan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun masyarakat memahami tujuan kebijakan yang ditetapkan, namun muncul harapan agar regulasi dapat mempertimbangkan kebutuhan dan akses terhadap produk teknologi berkualitas. Selanjutnya Framing media yang menonjolkan sisi pembatasan tanpa penjelasan solutif menimbulkan resistensi dan persepsi negatif, khususnya di kalangan milenial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Kebijakan yang diterapkan tanpa disertai komunikasi publik yang efektif serta solusi teknis yang ramah konsumen, menyebabkan penerapan kebijakan TKDN dan IMEI cenderung dipersepsikan membatasi hak konsumen. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah perlu menerapkan strategi komunikasi kebijakan yang lebih inklusif dan adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi serta ekspektasi masyarakat digital.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the rhetoric used in President Prabowo Subianto's 2024 inaugural speech.  Using a constructivist paradigm, this study employs a qualitative approach and analyzes the five laws of rhetoric as proposed by Aristotle and the classical rhetoricians (Socrates, Plato, and Demosthenes). President Prabowo Subianto is the focus of this study, and the video of his 2024 inauguration speech serves as the target of the study. A fill-in system is used to analyze the data. The findings of this investigation are (1) The speech's topic was sustainable development and economic prosperity, with an emphasis on renewable energy and sustainable agriculture to preserve natural resources, economic growth and environmental sustainability, building a robust economy with jobs for all, enhancing infrastructure, assisting small and medium-sized businesses, and boosting competitiveness in the global market. (2) Disposition (drafting) in the form of an introduction that includes content, arguments, proof, and greetings. (3) Elocutio (style of language) Proverbs, metaphors, and repetition are the language style employed. (4) Recollections (memory) President Prabowo Subianto described his experiences in a speech without consulting the text. (5) President Prabowo Subianto emphasized, lowered, and elevated vowels during his inauguration. He looked around, raised his hands halfway, and made pointing gestures. In order to persuade the audience, eye contact and mental interaction were employed. In conclusion, President Prabowo Subianto's speech complied with the theoretical requirements of classical rhetoricians and Aristotle's five laws of rhetoric, ensuring that the speech's rhetoric was understandable and focused on its goal.

Abstract

Dalam era kompetisi global, institusi pendidikan tinggi perlu membangun citra yang kuat dan kredibel. Universitas Lampung meluncurkan slogan “Be Strong” sebagai strategi komunikasi corporate branding untuk memperkuat posisinya di ranah nasional dan internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi corporate branding yang diterapkan melalui slogan tersebut serta mengevaluasi efektivitasnya berdasarkan teori Hatch dan Schultz yang berfokus pada keselarasan antara visi, budaya, dan citra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Unila berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai slogan ke dalam kehidupan kampus, baik melalui media digital, pelibatan sivitas akademika, maupun kolaborasi eksternal. Slogan “Be strong” memberikan dampak yang besar dalam memperkuat daya saing, reputasi, dan membangun identitas Unila memiliki ketangguhan dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Strategi ini dinilai cukup efektif karena berhasil mengkomunikasikan visi institusi, memperkuat budaya kolektif, dan memperbaiki citra publik Unila. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan strategi branding institusi pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

Crisis communication can occur in any organization, including the State University of Lampung University. This campus has always had a good reputation in the eyes of the public, but when the bribery case occurred, the public's trust in Unila was disappointed, embarrassed and protested. This news spread widely and quickly in the digital era, in less than 24 hours, Unila's news had become a trending topic in society which ultimately formed public opinion. Concepts that are relevant to this research are crisis communication management and public relations media relations to overcome reputation problems. This research aims to find out how Unila Public Relations media promotes a new image to the public in maintaining reputation. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing online media publications and interviews. The research results of 17 news reports using the ERASE model, namely (Evaluation, Research, Action, Strategy and Evaluation), explained that the first evaluation was an introspection process on Unila's previous management system. The results of research on public opinion in online media regarding reporting on the PMB bribery case in 2022 were mostly negative. The action stage is the launching of Unila's new program as an action to change the PMB system rules in 2023 with the tagline PROACTIVE and Be Strong as the new image of the University of Lampung. Next, the PR strategy manages writing or media content and selects media that is right on target, quickly accepted by the public, especially generation Z on TikTok social media. Finally, an evaluation of the results of the implementation of Unila's new program saw an increase in interest in joining Unila, amounting to 18% of the number of students in the previous year.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has encouraged local governments to utilize social media as a strategic tool for delivering information, building a positive image, and establishing two-way communication with the public. This study aims to analyze the digital communication strategies implemented by the Provincial Government of Lampung in shaping a responsive and transparent government image in the digital era. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques including direct observation of the official social media accounts of the Provincial Government of Lampung, in-depth interviews with three key informants from the social media management team at the Department of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics, as well as documentation of uploaded digital content. The findings show that the Lampung Provincial Government actively produces and distributes informative and educational content, including government agendas, regional policies, and local cultural promotion. The content is presented in engaging visual formats, such as infographics and short videos, tailored to reach younger audiences. During one month of observation, the Instagram account @lampungprovgoid recorded 209,406 impressions, 5,089 interactions, and an increase of 395 new followers. Strategy evaluation is conducted through media analytics tools, public sentiment analysis, and regular issue monitoring. Although the strategy has shown positive results, challenges such as the spread of hoaxes, negative comments, limited human resources, and the influence of social media algorithms remain obstacles. Overall, the digital communication strategy of the Lampung Provincial Government has proven effective in strengthening public trust and building a government image that is open, modern, and adaptive.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how students adapt their communication in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the educational context, and to examine its impact on interpersonal communication, academic integrity, digital literacy, and readiness for the workforce. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using data collected through a Google Form questionnaire completed by 105 student respondents. The data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns in student experiences. The findings reveal that 96,2% of students felt AI helped them understand course material more efficiently, while 61% acknowledged the potential threat to academic honesty. Additionally, 85% reported that AI improved their digital literacy and preparedness for a technology-driven work environment. Ethical challenges, such as dependency and violations of academic integrity, emerged as major concerns. In conclusion, AI holds significant potential to support learning, but its use must be accompanied by ethical awareness and effective communication within the educational environment.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious challenge to national development because it affects the quality of human resources in the future. Sumedang Regency, West Java, is known to have successfully reduced the prevalence of stunting through the Accelerated Stunting Reduction (PPS) program, which is integrated with the e-SIMPATI application. This study aims to describe the communication strategies of posyandu cadres in supporting program implementation in Sindangpakuon Village, Cimanggung District. The research method used a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The results showed that the communication strategies of cadres were carried out through cross-actor collaboration, interpersonal approaches, the use of digital media, and continuous evaluation using the RACE (Research, Action, Communication, Evaluation) model. Additionally, it was found that limiting factors included digital literacy constraints and uneven levels of community participation; however, cadres were able to overcome these challenges through local innovations. These findings emphasize the importance of adaptive and participatory communication strategies in bridging government policies with the social conditions of rural communities.
